Level Up <Final>

"We'll be leaving now, I'll come back to update your status later so rest up." The Executive members had already left the room as Loki waved her hand, closing the door behind her.

Zephyr slumped back into the bed, his mind was in turmoil. 'A hundred lives? You've got to be kidding me. What did the original me do to warrant such a fate?' He cursed himself.

'Well no use complaining about it now, After I get healed up tomorrow, I'll take a a week off before diving again.' Zephyr felt that he would level up today, just from the records of his status from the other day, he knew his Growth skyrockets when he fights stronger opponents.

'For now though, I should rest up. Loki will wake me up anyway.' And with that, Zephyr drifted off to dream land.

"So what do you think, Finn?" Riveria asked the captain.

"It's certainly a peculiar situation. A level 1, managing to defeat a Monster Rex, I knew he had a great future ahead of him, but this is greater than I expected." Finn placed his thumb on his chin.

"He's an anomaly, but he's a good kid. We should just watch over him, he might be a good influence for everyone in the future." Gareth chimed in, still impressed by Zephyr's feat.

"I agree with Gareth here," Riveria spoke up this time. "He has a good head on his shoulders, he studies diligently and is able to make sound decisions." She paused before continued.

"But today it seems he had miscalculated."

Riveria took responsibility of his studies so she knew, Zephyr wasn't normally like this, it seems boredom and the rush of being able to bulldoze through floors got to him.

She remembered how battered up Zephyr was when he arrived, he had used potions but they weren't elixers. They had a minimal effect, only healing wounds inflicted on the skin and flesh, but not bones.

"He's still just a child after all, children make mistakes all of the time. But he'll grow on it, I mean just look at Ais," Finn pointed at the golden air head.

She looked up at them, tilting her head. "She used to be like a rabid dog back then, always so aggressive and disobeying her superiors."

Ais blushed as she remembered her dark past, "That was before.." she spoke up, her voice meek.

The trio all laughed together as they remembered the times where Ais would regularly attack people, now here she was, she had become the fastest person to achieve a level up in history. [A/N: Not for long.]

The door to the Infirmary creaked as it opened, Loki stepped into the room with short strides.

She sat on a chair close to Zephyr's bed, observing his sleeping face. She poked his cheeks, feeling how soft they were.

Zephyr slowly opened his eyes, the sensation of getting his cheeks poked waking him up.

"Yo, finally up sleepyhead?" Loki raised her hand in a hello motion.

Zephyr slowly got up, but not before staring at nothing. It's common knowledge that everyone who wakes abruptly needs to log in into their systems by performing the Great Stare.

While Zephyr's systems were still booting up, Loki continued on poking him.

"Ah right." Zephyr finally logged in, "You're here to update my status.." Zephyr yawned and stretched his body, but that would prove to be a mistake as all of his bones started to hurt.

"Urk!" Zephyr got jolted awake.

"Bwahahaha! Stretching while your body isn't even fully healed yet, are you an air head?" Loki laughed at his anguish as Zephyr got up with gritted teeth.

"Help me get my shirt off Loki." He asked the goddess for help.

"Sama." She uttered, a mischievous grin plastered all over her face. "Huh?" Zephyr looked at her with confusion.

"Call me Loki-sama, Zephyr-kun." Loki grin grew as she enjoyed toying with the boy.

Zephyr grit his teeth, he used all of his willpower to stop the blush that threatened to appear on his cheeks. "Please help me get my shirt off, Loki-sama."

"Gyahahaha!" Loki fell off her chair as she rolled over the floor laughing.

"As I thought, You're ready to level up. And your stats are also freakin' ridiculous." Loki started updated his status.

"Your stats don't have anymore room to grow as a level one, do you want to level up now?" Loki asked him.

"Please." Zephyr answered with a resolute tone.

Loki modified his status, weaving her hand to update his level and stats. As the number 1 became 2, Zephyr felt a big change. His aura exploded within him, if previously it was only stored in one part of his body, now it was in every nook and cranny of his body. Zephyr ecstatic, the feeling of power felt good.

Loki finally finished updating his status and stuck a piece of paper on his back.

"Congratulations, Zephyr you're now a level two adventurer. And the new record holder of the fastest level up in history." Zephyr felt excited, the notion of being a record holder satisfying his ego.

"I also took the liberty of choosing a development ability for you." Loki handed him the paper that contained his status.

"Development abilities?" Zephyr muttered as he saw the new category on his status.

"Development abilities are special abilities that adventurers can obtain when they rank up, but they are extremely rare. Each one of them is a powerful ability that greatly enhances an adventurers ability." Loki started explaining.

"Your development ability, [Hunter] is an ability that lets you obtain more excelia when you defeat a monster that you have faced once before. By the way it's an ability that you can only obtains when you are level two otherwise it won't ever appear again, and the requirements to obtain it are heavy too. So far I've only met 5 people who have had this skill. You, Finn, Raul, a tsunders named Bete, and then Ais." She explained, but emphasized more on the Ais part.

Zephyr stared at his status in awe, Falna was amazing.

"I'll report to the Guild about your rank up in your stead, for now you should just relax. You'll be an influential person when you wake up tomorrow." Loki exited the room and closed the door behind her.

"An influential person?" Zephyr muttered out, she must have been exaggerating. After all, it was so easy to level up. Surely it wouldn't that much of a scene... Right?
