Chapter 23: The Feeling (Part 1)

I took a deep breath as stared at her. "Why you bring them to NJAC?! They've do nothing wrong, Cecil!" I rubbed my face roughly, then sighed.

"They need home when you sleep for a week, Lexa! Why you're not thinking straight!? Besides... they asked me to taking care of you." She said with her teary eyes.

I hugged her, stroked her hair. "Don't cry, Cecil. You want to become an FBI officer, right?" I let go of my hug.

"Yes. My application got rejected." She leaned her head on my chest. I took a deep breath and sighed. "Can you help me, Lexa?"

I walked to the kitchen and looking for a milk. I saw a full pack of raw pork.

[You've got a message from Lynx: I bet you already opened the fridge, Alexa. I will go to my hometown for a couple of weeks for the funeral. I should pretending to be sad, or we got caught by your crush, Cecilia. Take care of yourself! All my mom's belonging already inside your office. I'm chuckling, shook my head. "What a cute note, Lynx." I sighed. She'll returned, right? Humph...

"What's wrong... oh, my God!" She gasped and widened her eyes. "Is that... Ichiban's raw Wagyu!?" I closed my fridge, and locked the door. "Lexa, you should..."

"It's Linda's possession. We... can have some, but... she will mad at me if we eat without her around." Cecilia whined. Yeah, it's suck. I also want to eat that raw beef too, sweetheart. Who doesn't want taste that famous butcher's cut?!

He only cut the most finest animals in the world. "Let's we... eat at Dino's Pizza! I heard that place also famous around cops." Cecilia said as she scrolled through her googles.

I take a seat next to her. "I'm lazy to get out this comfy couch." I wrapped myself with a blanket, leaned my head on her shoulder. "When Jynx and Xyna will arrive? Both of them not dating, right?"

Cecilia rolled her eyes. "Since when Red Sentinel programmed their Android to become a couple! Don't too much watching that drama, Lexa! Human with Android?! Duh! It's nonsense." I'm chuckling.

"Sometimes... we can't predict whom we fall in love with," or we can choose with whom we can fall in love. What we should talk about? I gathered my courage. "Do you want to tell me?" 

She looked at me, raised her eyebrow. "What?"

I straightened my body. "You're boyfriend's affair." She sighed, took off her googles, and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"I visited my boyfriend's office for a case. I met her supervisor there, and... I found his wrist watch, on her desk." I stroked her hair. "I'm not ready to having sex with him because... you know my past, Lexa! I don't..."

"I get it, Cecil." I sighed. "What if..."

A door knocked make we stop our conversation. "Let me open the door, maybe it's our dinner tonight." I let her opened the door.

"Turned on the Tv." The Tv turned on and played a movie. I think I already watched the movie before, but where?! "Record the movie, and I request the move for on demand service, please."

"The movie already recorded. Your request already approved, Ms. Turner. Do you want to watch now?" Maybe later.

"No, save it for later, Lim. Thank you." Not long after Lim processing my command, Cecilia walking towards me following by Jynx and Xyna behind them. I sighed in relief they're still in one piece. Xyna's hand still broken.

"Xyna, Jynx. I miss both of you." They smiling and walking to their charging station. Cecilia sits next to me. She puts two papers bag on the coffee table.

"This... is our dinner. How you trained them, Lexa? They're amazing." I took a deep breath. I installed illegal software and get rid of the Red Sentinel's tracker. Also, changing their custom core. I called the core as Skull OS. They can duplicate all OS in this world.

Red-01 OS already duplicated. They can change whenever they want. I violated NJAC rules to perfect my creation. For Xyna, I programmed new OS for her. Same as Jynx. They both can duplicate and change their OS automatically.

The con was. It will drained their battery fast. I should fixed or adding more power to them. 

"I just... trained them step-by-step." She put my meal in front of me following by the pills I should drink. "Um... this meal not contained fish or allergic stuff for regeneration."

I opened the lid with my right hand. "Is... that a synthetic meat?" I raised my eyebrow. She shrugged her shoulders.

"Doctor said you will need more collagen, and he also recommendation this meal." What?! Are you sure doctor want to kill his own patient?! If he killed an Agent, the sentence will be death penalty. She just... saying that my doctor recommended a synthetic meat?!

I closed the lid, sighed. "Lim, can you search collagen meat in nearby area?!" I'm wearing my googles.

"Searching..." she said. As she searched my meal nearby. I decide to scan my own meal.

[This meat contains 10% collagen, 80% protein, 5% bacteria, and 5% flour. This product safe from allergic reaction.]

I took a deep breath and sighed. "Do you know..." I opened the lid and start eating the synthetic meat she bought for me. God, the taste...

"Delicious, isn't it?! I don't know you too picky to eat meat." She said.

I never eat synthetic meat before. "There's no collagen meat restaurant in your area. Do you want to search another meat restaurant?" Lim asked.

"No." The taste was not too bad. I drink my soda and sighed. Ah... it's so refreshing.

"Alexa. Can I... ask you a question?" I'm nodding my head. "Are you sure you want to meet him? He..."

"He was my partner and friend. He always in my side whenever I down missing my brother." I tried to smile. It's heartbreaking. He almost killed me in the first place. His gaze before I passed out. That gaze I never seen before.

Desperate and revenge. I took a deep breath and sighed. "You alright?" She shook her head, put her head on my shoulder.

I put my arms surround her waist. "I know you a bit down, Cecil. Let's we together meet the therapist, okay? Both of us." She's nodding her head.
