Chapter 46

I didn't expect this at all.

I mean, I'm not a celebrity, and I was in the news just once but it should be focused on Aiden. I was just an extra, who helped my brother. I had no intention to gain so much attention in a different country, but it looks like they haven't forgotten about my face at all. And it's not like it's just one person who took photos so I won't be able to talk it out. *sigh*

When we approached Aiden, he's looking at us questioningly and said "So this is why you don't want me to pick you up?" he said with his arms crossed and raised eyebrows. I can feel the tension in the air so I didn't answer and just lowered my head. What can I say? He thought I won't push things forward with Felix.

"Hi Aiden, it's been awhile," Felix said as if he can't read the room.

Aiden glared at him and asked, "what are you doing with my sister?"

"Chill bro. Addie has already agreed that we can try to get to know each other more. Though she doesn't want to officially date me yet." Felix explained. Aiden patted my head when he heard I didn't agree to date Felix yet and I took this chance to cut in say something more urgent,

"Actually it's not the time for that, people have been taking a photo of me since I got off the plane," I told them and they both look at the people around us. "Do you know someone who can prevent those photos from circulating? Otherwise, I won't be able to work peacefully" I didn't dream of people intruding on my privacy. That's the thing I hate the most.

"I can ask our PR department," they both said at the same time. "They can contact the media to block it" Aiden continued while scowling at Felix.

"Felix you can go now, I'll take care of my sister. You don't need to come with us" Aiden coldly told Felix. Felix didn't argue further, "Bye Addie, I'll see you tomorrow," he said then turned around to leave.

On the way to Aiden's place, he turned to me and asked, "Since when?"

"It was after I came back to Sydney. I felt like he was really serious so I eventually gave him a chance. If he's willing to take more steps, I guess it won't hurt if I also take one step forward right?" I answered honestly.

"Are you sure you're not dating yet?" he asked again. "Not yet, I think it's too early for that and I'd like to know him more before deciding."

"That's good then. Don't rush. If he does something that will disappoint you, dump him immediately."

"Go take a rest first and I'll prepare our dinner. I'll call my manager later to deal with the photos taken awhile ago at the airport"

In my room (yes I have a permanent room here. Not sure if he'll let his future girlfriend use it soon though) I tried calling Piper

"Hey, Addie! Miss you!!!! What's up?" Piper said excitedly.

"Just want to inform you before you'll find out in the news again that I'm currently in South Korea for work, and that I came here with Felix," I said in a monotonous tone like I'm reporting to a superior.

"Oh wait, slow down girl,

Come gain.

What did I just heard?

Since when are you two dating?" she asked surprised by the sudden news.

"We're not,

Just getting to know each other stage. Since my prospective business partner is from here, he just accompanied me. I'm currently staying at Aiden's place by the way. Don't overthink" I explained before she'll jump into another conclusion.

"Hmm fine, but I wanna know the details exactly.

And why would you be on the news again? Are you some kind of Hallyu star now? You can't afford that or else you'll be scrapped from your position. What did you do this time?"

"Nothing really,

just that once I stepped out of the plane, passers-by were taking photos of me. Aiden will try to block them from circulating online but I don't think they'll be able to wipe everything out. I mean, why would his agency go all-out on this when it's just a normal photo, considering I'm not even their artist."

"Addie, I was informed it was quite hard to remove all as it's coming from different sources and that there wasn't anything derogatory about the posts. There might have been a lot of photos taken as well and since it's a policy to only take down posts if it violates anyone else or has explicit content, we can't do anything about it.

But for now, they were able to remove it from the trending searches. The media were already informed not to make news about it as well." Aiden explained to me after his latest phone call with his manager. Actually, I can just hack their accounts if I want to but I don't think it's appropriate since they meant no harm.

"What are the captions though? Will it cause problems? Do you think it will reach our parents?" I asked back.

"Most of it looks like your fans actually, saying their girl crush/idol is back in Korea. If it won't be on news, maybe our parents won't hear about it. I don't think they care about celebrity gossip. Though if your name will be mentioned a lot, I'm afraid they'll notice it sooner or later."

"Okay then, I'll try calling Leo and ask for his advice. He's my new assistant who previously worked on PR."

"Go ahead then, he'll know better how to deal with it. I'm sorry if we didn't help much"

"It's okay, you are not obliged to. Atleast for now, there's a bit of delay on further spreading."

"Hello Ms. Addison, how may I help you?" Leo politely greeted me over the phone.

"Hello Leo, I need your assistance," I explained to him in detail what happened and what might happen later and asked what to do to prevent the chairman from thinking I'm doing something childish here right now.

"Miss I think if you can't prevent it from spreading, you might as well address it and tell exactly what business you'll have during your stay there. That way, we can lowkey promote our future product while your parents won't suspect your intentions," he explained.

"Hmm, that's quite a solution but, don't you think it's still too early for a promotion?" I asked, still having doubts about his suggestion.

"Miss if you think the project will be successful anyway, then it's not considered early. I'll report it now to our PR team here so they can help you. We'll also inform the chairman beforehand so he won't get surprised to see your name trending if ever we aren't done with the preparations yet"

"Alright then, thank you, Leo. I'm counting on you. Please take charge on dealing with it."
