America’s Ace.

After Bedeila and Tiango had their spar, the rest of the soldiers had theirs. Bedeila was prideful to the point of arrogance, but she always kept an eye out for the strong. Every single soldier of the Dragon Divison had earned their ranks.

The soldiers knew that if they did not keep up their training they could be fazed out by more talented members. The fear of losing their title as Dragon Divison made them train as hard as possible. She stood next to Tiango who stayed as stoic as a mountain.

She already respected him as he proved his power through his punches. While they watched the last spar she felt someone walk next to her. Tiango looked down and recognized the man. He was someone he spared with and won, but something was different.

He seemed totally different from the man he knew. It was like the one he knew before was nothing more than an illusion. As for Bedeila she could feel him as well. She already knew who it was, but she was more interested in learning more about the soldiers around her. He also did not look at her, but at the spar.

"What do you think? Who will win?"

She did not turn, but she answered as she watched the spar. It was between a male soldier that had the physical traits of a black panther. The other was a woman who could solidify the carbon in the air on mass to make nearly endless physical constructs.

"She already won, but he does not know it. He might be dodging all her attacks, but she is not just a mindless brute. She has been slowly filling the field with carbon and he is breathing it all in."

She turned around to look at a tall man that looked to be in his 30s. He was 6'6 and his physical traits looked simply overbearing. His body was extremely muscular while his face looked absolutely cold.

He had a black beard that covered his face, but his eyes were mesmerizing. They looked like gateways to hell as they burned in bright red like fire. She knew who he was at a glance as she was privy to private information.

"America's current ace. Rome Emerson, the Demon."

Rome's face did not change in the slightest while Tiango was shocked. He had spared many times with Rome before. He had even won a few of the times, so he realized something. Rome had never taken him seriously enough to use his real strength or quirk.

"That is me. I wanted to see Connor's pup as I heard you plan to be a hero. Why?"

She could not see on his face, but she could smell it. He was curious and a little annoyed by her choice. Still, he knew she was coming back, so he wanted to know the reason first. Bedeila shrugged.

"You know how long I will live right? On average 300 years or more depending on what happens later on. I wanted to be one for just a few years to remember my mother. Like you following in your father's footsteps as America's ace. How is he?"

Rome kept his neutral look on his face.

"He was doing just fine despite being 150. He was also given his special medicine(nanomachines) so he is gaining strength one more. I am more interested in you? Once you are done playing, what will you do?"

She moved her bang to uncover her icy blue eye to look into Rome's eyes. The eyes were a gateway into the soul so their standoff showed they were very similar. Pride was a trait they both had in spades.

"I will obviously return where I belong. This is where my family is from and so am I. My mother was from Japan, but she was my only attachment to it. Once all my attachments are dealt with, I will return where I belong. My home."

He started into Bedeila's eyes and found the contrasting green and blue rather lovely. He also believed that the eyes gave part of the person they were from.

"You have beautiful eyes. I like that look in your eyes, the ferocity of the Canis family runs through your blue eye. I can see the ferocity of a chained beast ready to pounce at its prey. As for the green, I can see the wrath of the flames you unleash. The desire to incinerate the world and your foes.

Your mother was truly exceptional. You are a lucky girl to have been birthed by two monsters."

She did not expect that, but she was glad he praised her parents. S

"You can see that from just my eyes?"

Rome pointed at his own.

"The eyes are the gateway into the soul or so my dad says. That blue is impossible in a human, only a wolf could have it. As for that green, they are the exact color as your flames. I can even see them in your eye. What do you see in mine?"

Bedeila looked deep into those burning pits of fire and wrath.

"Hell. I feel like your eyes are a portal into Hell while they follow your will. It is like the Demon is trying to get you to go insane, but you have it restrained. Your will and your pride are on a scale of their own. Does your Demon quirk attack your mind?"

"It does. We take the form of a bloodthirsty demon and it is up to us to restrain it to our will. That is why my father is so feared and All for One did not dare to intrude into our land. Now that he is wounded and in hiding, he will not make a move against you.

Both of us still have a long way to go."

Before he could continue Jackson's voice resounded out.

"THE SPARS HAVE CONCLUDED! NOW, BEGINS QUIRK TRAINING!"

Jackson ignored Rome as he went where he pleased. Everyone knew that Rome was part of the Dragon Divison, but very few actually knew how he looked. To train his Demon quirk he always did so in isolation with only trusted members to see it.

His father was once again training with the influence of the Nanomachines in his body. If the old Monster managed to awaken his life span would increase as the power of his Demon quirk delayed aging.

Before the training began, everyone was forced to put on the weighted outfits. They even doubled the gravity of everyone as the training made them use their quirks above their old limits. Bedeila was forced to keep her mask off as she had to contain her flames long than she was supposed to.

Her face had long since turned red as the pressure was building up in her body. She would not explode, but the explosion that would erupt from her would be even bigger. Jackson glanced at her as he realized she was about to lose control.

"CANIS, TO THE SKY!"

She roared as she aimed her hands at the air and blasted a condensed ray of dark purple flames. They were even hotter than her blue flames, but it took a lot out of her. They blasted into the sky before exploding into a flash of purple flames.

They were seen all over the base which made Connor proud of her. She was growing her mother's quirk again. This was the best experience she could be going through. Bedeila felt the shockwaves go up to her arms and cause her bones and muscles to tremble.

Jackson once again used the carrot and stick method.

"WELL DONE CANIS! DO IT AGAIN!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

She began to inhale in the air around her once again feeling her lungs sting. She trained often, but she rarely tried to peak what she could contain as she did not think about it before. Just to achieve that purple flame took 12 minutes, 2 over her peak. Jackson's goal was not to get her to spam it.

His goal was for her to push the efficiency of her lungs so she could use her stronger flames faster. As the one in charge of this training exercise, he was privy to all the information on the quirks of his soldiers.

For Bedeila he learned of how her lungs worked realizing that they were not efficient. He thought if he increased their efficiency and the power of her body she might go longer periods without her mask.

He knew that with stronger quirks like the Werewolf quirk there would be issues. His own Scar quirk was not pretty to use so he wanted to give her some help. He glanced next to her where Tiango had already grown to a staggering 30 meters as he looked like a lava dragon.

It was not perfect as he had never gotten that large before so it was uneven.

"WRONG! YOUR FORM IS FALLING APART, MAKE IT DENSER AND STRONGER!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

He did as he was told, but he then struggled to walk as the parts he condensed become like stone.

"WRONG! KEEP SOME FLUIDITY SO YOU DON'T BECOME A IMMOBILE ROCK!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

He glanced at Bedeila who once again turned red-faced. Her teeth were all bared as she once again felt the pressure building up. She felt the flames begin to go wild, but she once again blasted into the sky.

This time it was even larger and hotter as it blasted into the sky before exploding in a bigger purple blast. Bigby howled to the sky as he was proud of his master, but that got on Jacksons' nerves. How dare he show joy.

"MUTT! TRAIN HARDER! USE PRESSURE THROUGH YOUR SHADOWS! YOU JUST THROW THEM AROUND WITHOUT USING YOUR STRENGTHS! YOU HAVE MANY QUIRKS IN THAT BODY, PUT THEM TO WORK!"

He whined before he got back to training as he had never trained like this. All his power was merely things he knew helped to catch prey. Instead, he was forced to adapt to the intense training that pushed him to grow.

He did not like being ordered by anyone other than Bedeila, but Jackson was helping him grow stronger. He glanced at Bedeila who fell to her knees panting like a dog. She was looking to the sky as steam left her mouth.

Anyone that got a look at her teeth would realize they were ferocious. Her max bite force had peaked at 8,000 pounds at her last doctor's appointment. She still remembered his reaction when she crunched through the first bite force meter. However, right now she felt her lungs hurt.

'FUCK! THIS HURTS!'

Jackson did not expect her to do it again so soon. She was even improving in real-time impressing him.

'Truly, the Canis family's Werewolf quirk is a treasure.'

He watched as Bedeila forced herself to stand and start all over again. The difference was not very big, but she could feel her body starting to adapt to this pressure. She even inhaled once again to push herself.

He glanced at more of his soldiers to offer his aid. Of course, with such extreme training, there were bound to be injuries so healers rushed around to treat the injured so they could train more. All the while the nanomachines pushed them to grow stronger.

This was just the start as Mathew was keeping an eye on things to make sure no issues occurred. He as a fan of movies, games, and literature was aware that nanomachines could be dangerous. It was why he spent so long working on death row inmates.

Either way, Bedeila was forced to use her Blastfire quirk to the limit. She felt like her lungs were burning as her healing and adaptation made them work better than before. She was already feeling hungry as healing had to come from somewhere.

"CANIS! TIME TO TRAIN YOUR BODY! DROP AND GIVE ME 2,000! HANDSTAND PUSHUPS! PUT THAT STRENGTH TO WORK!"

She almost fainted right there as even she was starting to feel afraid.

"SIR, YES SIR!"

She got in a handstand and started to do her required pushups. It was hard, but she thought it was doable, but Jackson raised her gravity to three. Now, she had 12 tons on her body making her grit her teeth. Of course, she put her mask back on as she would need more time than 10 minutes for this.

Tiango whispered to her quietly as he tried to be supportive.

"Get used to it. We all cried when we came here."

Of course, Jackson heard him.

"OH, SO YOU CRIED WHEN YOU CAME HERE MARTIN! I WILL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO CRY ABOUT! DROP DOWN AND GIVE ME 2,000! HANDSTAND PUSHUPS!"

Tiango felt the gravity increase for him increasing his base from 5 to 15.

'FUCK MY FATHER'S ASS! WHY!'

Both Bedeila and Tiango were forced to make their tails stick into the air to not have them flop around. Bigby on the other hand was also pushing himself to the limit as his pressure and shadow quirk were used in unison.

The pressure if trained might be able to affect even gravity so they had a lot of hope for Bigby. Even now they sent more scouts into the forest to look for more powerful creatures like Bigby. Bedeila got one so they hoped to get more or even breed Bigby.

However, they first had to ask Bedeila permission as her importance was above even the president. Presidents were replaced, the Canis family could not. Especially not Bedeila who was the best talent of the Canis family.

She had one thought as she did her required workout.

'Faster!'

After meeting Rome, she did not get discouraged. She wanted to reach that level and Awaken her quirk so she had to work even harder.
