Chapter XII - My Concern, The Pair of Travelers Part 2

"I would dare say it's because of me." Sebastien said as Aurelius calmly nodded and set down the tea cup in his hand.

"I would not have imagine that crossing the border will grant us a faithful meeting to someone as interesting as Noah." He said as Sebastien nodded enthusiastically.

"You bet Ari! That kid got some serious connection to spirits." Sebastien said and counted with his fingers, "Wind, Earth, Light and Water! This is the second time I saw a person capable of handling that much element in such a tiny vessel." He added.

"Second?" Vincent asked as Aelfdene and Elianor looked at the pairs direction in question.

"He was our friend, Keira's husband to be precise. He told us about the capacity of a normal human beings capabilities in holding elements." He informed, "He said that normal humans can handle up to three elements, while some select humans have the capability to handle four to six elements in their bodies." Vincent nodded while the Married pair looked at each other.

"He said that controlling that much elements in the body would give certain injuries and lifelong ones. Seeing that he is still in control of everything means that he overcame that obstacle and the danger of possessing that many is not harmful to him now." Sebastien said as Aurelius looked at Vincent.

"Make sure that human would not try for another element to get involve with, I would not say it would bring him harm but it is better to be safe than sorry." He said with a knowing look directed at Vincent.

"It has been bothering me, why do you refer to my nephew as 'human'? I know you two are not humans, so care to tell me what being are you?" Elianor asked while Aelfdene sat down beside her.

"Of course, I was once human. Something personal happened that lead me to become like this." Aurelius said with a smile and a knowing look to Sebastien.

"You see, we are from the continent of Calsithea." Sebastien started. "And someone like me are born into such continent ever since." He explained. "And my husband here, although it was by consent. He was turned into the being that I am." He gave a side glance to Aurelius.

"A being called a Vampire, known to strike fear in the Western Region of Calsithea." Aurelius said as Sebastien nodded with a fond smile.

"That is why we refer to the two of you as Humans, because we are not." Aurelius added as the two of them looked as Vincent. "Although, you two might not be human anymore if you both embrace what is inside you and not repel it." He said with a sigh and a shrug.

"So what bring the noble Vampire race over our continent?" Vincent asked as Aelfdene and Elianor whispered about something.

"As I have told you earlier, we were awoken by something, that it why you found the both of us wandering that large forest." Aurelius said while Sebastien groaned in irritation.

"One moment we are sleeping quietly with no other worry, and the next time we open our eyes we're greeted by a wrecked home and barrier?!" Sebastien complained as Aurelius's expression darkened by the mention of their home.

"We left Alexander alone to let him deal with those beings by himself cause we're tired, now look what happened." Sebastien rolled his eyes and slumped on the chair.

"Now now Seb, We have to knock some senses to that Alexander. He might need to tell the Abyssal of the North to come down." Aurelius said to Sebastien that earned him an annoyed look.

"That Abyssal? The one who continued to ignore everything except Alexander? Do you think he will protect the barrier from the other side without an exchange?" He asked with a bewildered expression.

"He is much better than the Abyssal of the West." Aurelius said that leave no choice and room for refusal.

"Now then, the problem with those beings. I think that the Continent of Calsithea needs to own their mistakes." Aurelius looked at the Elven Queen and Spirit King.

"Those beings are the ones we were hunting down before we went to rest, the human we mentioned earlier, Alexander is the one responsible for hunting them and their nest." He informed.

"But I would like to know if something strange happened first?" He asked.

"The Barrier of our God was shattered and I would guess that is where you two entered, me and Noah received a report to a case of several knights of the Wrolent Family were killed in cold blood and so Noah sent Reginald earlier for a mission." Vincent informed as Noah came back to the room, looking exhausted, Vincent immediately went up and helped Noah to prevent him from falling over.

"The rest? You both witnessed already." Vincent said that made a scene in the Vampire pair in their heads, a scene so repulsive and revolting that they would want to erase and forget about.

"I've set up the barrier, everything here should be safe. It would hold out for the time being and will only dissolve after I fix the barrier." Noah said with a drained smile towards Elianor.

"Thank you dear, now here's some tea I made. This will help your recovery." Elianor said with a smile and handed Noah a cup.

"Thank you, Aunt." He said as visibly relaxed from the scent of it.

"Then Vince, should we go to Calsithea?" Noah asked, clearly knowing that if he said he would go alone Vincent would make a fuss.

"Calsithea? What for?" Vincent asked with a raised eyebrow, clearly amused and excited.

"Well, I need to let out some stress from overworking. You wouldn't mind, don't you Vince?" Noah said with a smile not reaching his eyes.

"Of course Iris, I would be glad." Vincent answered with a smiled and rested his head on Noah's left shoulder, murmuring about him being sleepy.

"Human, you wish to go to Calsithea?" Aurelius asked as Noah looked at him before nodding.

"I serve to inform the God of Time and Space, I received orders from him to go and solve the problem with Calsithea first." Noah said that earned him a few surprised looks.

"Why aren't you a very peculiar human." Sebastien said with a grin as Aurelius cleared him throat and smiled.

"Well, if it is your orders from your God himself, then let us guide you to the continent of Calsithea." Aurelius suggested as Sebastien stood up from his seat excitedly.

"You are going to love Calsithea! Especially our residence, although you can't wander around the cardinal directions as you please. The Empire of Aeturnus is the only free land you can wander, although this doesn't mean it's free from the underworld." Sebastien informed with a huff.

"We'll be glad to take you there and the Abyssals if you want to meet them." Aurelius said with a smiled as Noah nodded for the both of them.

Tomorrow, they will head out, the Continent of Calsithea.
