Thankfully though, and rather surprisingly as well, Ye Qiao did not seem to experience any other adverse side effects as she absorbed the power of the blood.
Of course though, Ye Feng continued watching over her sister, even after nothing had happened to her after several years.
"The absorption process went much better than expected, looks like I don't have to worry at all right now," mumbled Ye Feng as she continued watching her sister, with a rather happy smile present on her at the moment.
...
As Ye Qiao staggered behind her sister, she couldn't help but take in a deep breath.
Not long after Ye Qiao had arrived here, she had realised that her sister seemed to be toying with her for some reason.
Sadly though, no matter what Ye Qiao did or said, Ye Feng continued her actions without saying anything.
It seemed as though Ye Feng was trying her best to torture Ye Qiao in some way, but of course, Ye Qiao knew that this wasn't the case in the slightest.
Without any warning, Ye Qiao lost consciousness.
The moment Ye Qiao lost consciousness, all the pain she had been feeling stopped.
Usually, if she had been in this much pain, Ye Qiao would not have been able to remain unconscious, but for some reason, she was now easily able to.
After an unknown amount of time, Ye Qiao finally regained consciousness, somewhat.
Though regaining consciousness was not truly the right word for what had happened, as Ye Qiao could not yet sense or control her body.
As she stared at the endless sea of fire surrounding her, Ye Qiao couldn't help but unconsciously take in a deep breath.
"What is this place?" mumbled Ye Qiao as she stretched out her hand towards the sea of fire.
At this very moment, though, Ye Qiao felt an extremely weird feeling, one that she had never felt in her entire life.
The best comparison Ye Qiao could make was enlightenment, but compared to enlightenment, this feeling was extremely different.
Insights into the Dao poured into Ye Qiao's mind, without any signs of stopping.
Although Ye Qiao did not have any outside reference, she could still keep track of time using her own mind.
Seconds turned into minutes, minutes into days, and days into years.
Before Ye Qiao even realised it, over 500 years had passed inside of her mind, as insights into the Dao of the Flame kept pouring in.
Although the Dao of the Flame was not nearly as powerful as the Dao of Fire, it was still a Grand Dao, which allowed Ye Qiao to be considerably more powerful than her peers at the Minor Transcendence Realm.
But right, Ye Qiao felt as though a transformation was taking place in the Dao of the Flame, it was as if those insights that were pouring into her mind were slowly changing it.
Bit by bit, in these 500 years, the Dao of the Flame morphed and became more and more powerful.
Finally though, at the end of the five hundred years, it finally happened.
Without any warning, a golden light suddenly descended from the heavens and surrounded Ye Qiao.
In but an instant, Ye Qiao's already considerably large Dao Sapling suddenly began growing at an insane speed.
Compared to five hundred years ago, right now the sapling had grown by a large amount, but compared to what was happening at this moment, that was nothing.
Right now, an intrinsic transformation was taking place in the Dao Sapling, as it transformed into a Dao Tree.
Ye Qiao did not know how much time it had taken her to reach the Major Transcendence Realm, but she knew one thing, she felt powerful.
Although she did not have access to her body, Ye Qiao could still feel immense power rushing through her, as her soul had also been strengthened as well.
At this moment, though, Ye Qiao noticed something.
"It ran out," mumbled Ye Qiao as she stared in front of her.
Whilst she had been completing her breakthrough, the Sea of Fire, which seemed infinite, had actually run out.
But before Ye Qiao could do anything, she suddenly noticed something in the distance.
In but an instant, before Ye Qiao could react, another sea of fire had enveloped her.
...
Three hundred years, two hundred years less than the first Sea of Fire, this was how much time it had taken Ye Qiao to absorb the second sea.
After three hundred years, the Dao of the Flame did not resemble it's previous self much, as it had become much more powerful.
But rather surprisingly, Ye Qiao did not feel as though that big of a change had taken place inside of her, especially compared to what had happened after absorbing the first sea of fire.
Suddenly, Ye Qiao, who was thinking, raised her head and stared into the distance.
"So there's a third one," mumbled Ye Qiao.
...
Five thousand years, this was how long it took Ye Qiao to absorb the third sea of fire, 5178 years to be more exact.
At first, Ye Qiao had been absorbing the sea of fire just like the two previous ones, but as time passed, Ye Qiao finally began feeling full.
By the time two thousand years had passed, Ye Qiao had felt as though she could not cram any more insights into her head, as if it was full.
But even so, Ye Qiao did not have any way out of this place, and as such, continued absorbing the Sea of Fire, feeling as though an astounding change was about to take place after she finished.
...
The moment Ye Qiao opened her eyes, everything around her suddenly began burning.
In but an instant, everything around Ye Qiao, except for Ye Feng, who seemed perfectly fine, had turned into ash.
But even so, Ye Qiao did not have any time to pay any attention to that, as her jaw simply dropped to the floor.
But as she felt the power cursing through her veins, as well as the insights floating within her mind, Ye Qiao could not deny it.
Her Grand Dao of the Flames had somehow transformed into the Supreme Dao of Fire.
