Looking at Luo Ye, Meng Lin couldn't help but start laughing, stopping a few seconds later.
"It looks like is little Qin puts her mind to it, she can do anything," mumbled Meng Lin, staring at Luo Ye, the corners of her mouth twitching.
Without warning, Luo Ye suddenly disappeared, causing Meng Lin to slightly smile.
"It looks like all three of them are really conscientious when taking in disciples," mumbled Men Lin as two other jade slips suddenly appeared in front of her, having been given to her by her other two disciples.
After going through the newly accepted disciples on more time, Meng Lin turned her attention to what she truly cared about.
"As expected, this was a good idea," said Meng Lin, looking through the over fifty formations created by the disciples of the Myriad Formation's Valley in these past five hundred years.
Although most of these formations were weak, with most being Grade one or Grade two formations, Meng Lin was still very happy with her gains, as she wanted to increase her accumulation further before tackling Grade Eight Formations.
Suddenly, an extremely basic formation appeared in front of Meng Lin, a formation created roughly four hundred and fifty years ago by Luo Ye, back when Meng Lin had just let entered seclusion and had begun to let them manage the sect in her place.
The use of this formation was very simple, automating and augmenting the growth of plants, back then, because of his laziness, Lue Ye did not like tending after the spiritual plants, as such, after a few months, he managed to gain inspiration and create this.
'As expected, laziness is a must for Formation masters,' thought Meng Lin as two more versions of the formation appeared before her.
Although Luo Ye had improved the formation over the years, doing so is much harder than mastering a new formation, as such, even with his talent, Luo Ye could only transform it into a grade three.
For a Grade Eight Formation Master like Meng Lin, it was far too simple to deduce the steps Luo Ye had taken in creating and improving this formation.
First, Meng Lin began staring at the First Grade formation.
Even though her formation skills were extremely advanced now, Meng Lin still liked to follow her old training method, of gradually improving every single Formation Grade to the limit, before moving on, and doing so over and over again.
One month later,
Looking at the empty field in front of her, Meng Lin activated the Sixth Grade grade formation around it, causing Low-Grade spiritual plants to suddenly sprout out of it.
In merely a moment, the entirety of the field was filled with Low-Grade spiritual plants, but even so, Meng Lin shook her head, not liking the end result.
'The amount of spiritual stones used is far too great for just growing Low-Grade spiritual plants,' thought Meng Lin.
Although some formation masters would simply use formations that were appropriate to the level of the spiritual plant, Meng Lin did not like that.
'I should split this into two different formations,' thought Meng Lin, causing her eyes to suddenly shine.
Six months later,
Putting in a few Middle-Grade Spiritual stones into the Seventh-Grade formation, Meng Lin couldn't help but take in a deep breath.
Suddenly, the Spiritual Plants in front of her began growing at an extremely rapid speed, one that could be compared to the previous Sixth-Grade formation, but through some trial and error Meng Lin had managed to reduce the cost to a somewhat more agreeable level.
But still, Meng Lin suddenly noticed something.
"The land is dying," mumbled Meng Lin, as she looked at the spiritual plants, which were growing slower and slower, as well as the ground, which was becoming more and more grey.
Without any warning, Meng Lin, disappeared from the field, returning to her cave abode.
"I will deal with this later," mumbled Meng Lin as she made a note in her mind to return to this formation, not being done with it at all.
Suddenly, Meng Lin turned her attention to the next formation, as she did not obtain merely one formation, but rather over fifty of them.
...
Three hundred years later outside of the Myriad Formation's Valley,
Looking at all of the flies, which were being attracted to an extremely tiny formation, Song Yun smiled.
"The senior who created this formation is a genius," thought Song Yun, when suddenly, he began hearing a sound, as if a fly was nearby.
Moment after moment, the sound became louder and louder, causing Song Yun to hurriedly deactivate the fly trap.
Suddenly, Song Yun stared into the sky.
"What in the world?" mumbled Song Yun, feeling some terror appear inside of him.
Looking at the fly which was approaching the Myriad Formation's Valley, Song Yun felt a chill in his heart.
...
Seeing the giant fly in the distance, which seemed to have been entranced by the formation behind her, Meng Lin couldn't help but be surprised.
"A Minor Trancendance Fly, how surprising," mumbled Meng Lin, deactivating the Seventh Grade formation behind her.
The moment Meng Lin deactivated the formation, the fly seemingly regained it's bearing, but even so, it's intelligence was not large at all, but even so, the fly began flying away.
But sadly, for it, the fly was suddenly stuck in place, being completely immobilized by the innumerable number of formations surrounding the Myriad Formation's valley.
Before the fly could do anything, it's body was suddenly smashed to pieces, before being collected by Meng Lin.
What Meng Lin was doing right now, was experimenting on a certain formation.
The Fly Catcher Formation
As low-level cultivators traveled through the Mountain Region, are an extreme annoyance, as such, a disciple of the Myriad Formation's Valley created the Fly Catcher Formation, a First Grade Formation, which attracted flies, so as to be easily disposed of by the cultivator.
But upon obtaining this formation, Meng Lin continued improving it, giving it more and more power, leading to this situation.
Of course, this was not the weirdest situation that had happened in these past three hundred years, as some of Meng Lin's formations were even stranger.
