Quality time with Dad

Finally Appala Naidu and his son left the office after 2 hours, as it took time to print the deal, sign it and transfer the money and everything. As they left the conference room they saw Ramachandra, Raj's father and also the CEO of ARK industries coming this way, they just nodded at each other and left.

Ramachandra rushed to the office because he was so excited as he watched the video on his laptop and wanted to talk to his son and ask a lot of questions about this deal. As he entered the conference room he saw Raj getting up from his chair and stretching, when Raj saw his dad, he already expected him to come, so he just smiled and said "hey dad, I'm really hungry right now, let's go have lunch and talk over there"

To which Ramachandra just stared at him blankly and nodded, Raj just strolled out with his father next to him and got into his car, he told the driver to take them to the Marriot hotel for lunch. Then he saw that his father was still thinking of what to ask him and where to start, Raj just chuckled a little and said "dad, I know you have a lot of questions, I'll explain everything over lunch, let's spend some quality father-son time".

Ramachandra finally came back to his senses and nodded with a smile. On the way to the hotel and with typical Indian traffic they bonded very well and Raj made up stories about his time abroad and Ramachandra talked about his childhood all the way to where he was now. Only then did they arrive at the hotel, they went in and the waiter already knew Ramachandra as he held some of his business meetings with clients here, so they were taken to his typical booth

Finally after Raj ordered a few dishes, Ramachandra couldn't hold it any longer and asked him "you, I only told you to refuse his insulting offer, yet you not only managed to shoo away the enemy you actually made them allies?"

Raj smiled and said "dad, hehe, what is friends and enemies in front of profit and loss? Sure I can refuse their request and drive them away but think about it, in that situation only they will be at a loss, but where is the profit for us? We not only have no profit but maybe in retaliation they might resort to dirty tricks that might lead to a loss for us"

At this time the waiter came back and served some drinks as appetizers and went out, Ramachandra was thinking about what his son said, 'true, even if we refused and sent them away there is nothing to gain, compared to how my son handled it, it's a little crude' but then he thought about one thing and asked his son

"Ok son, you might be right, and I also accept that 10 million $ deal, but why did you give them such a fair offer? And also about future co-operation, can we really trust them? They're still thugs you know" Raj nodded, indeed that would be a problem. But Raj smiled and said "Actually dad that's where you're wrong, the moment they sent that 10 million $ to our account I asked our financial team to trace back where the account was, it was from an anonymous bank account linked to a certain shell company, so if before I had a gun in my hand to threaten them, then now they have personally given me a Rocket-launcher to aim at them" Raj laughed and continued "besides, that Paidithalli is easy to manipu- cough cough, I mean handle, as long as he is there in the process it is basically me in control"

Ramachandra was stunned, It was perfect, too perfect. Everything was under Raj's control from the start, it's almost like it was Raj who set up this meeting in the first place and not the other way around. Then he just laughed crazily when the waiter came in to serve food, he looked at the waiter and shouted "My son is a genius, HAHA he is my son after all, my blood!!" the waiter was really confused and just laughed awkwardly, did his job and went out while sweating. Raj looked at this and laughed, he calmed his father down and they both ate their meal talking about the deal and what this means for the company

Raj then said, "Dad, about the company I mentioned before, 'pack-your-bags' did you think about it?" Ramachandra didn't even bother to look up from his food and replied "do whatever you want, now that our cash issue is resolved, the banks will not be wolves anymore and might even want to make up for what they did, so I can mobilize the fund for you"

Raj had an evil smile on his face, it was finally time!
