[ Third Person POV ]
Marineford
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku! Douglass Bullet has attacked another Marine Base!!" A Marine soldier broke in and began reporting.
Sengoku sighed and massaged his sinuses; Douglass Bullet had been destroying their bases recently, but whenever the Marines would send some troops to apprehend him, he'd destroy the Marine Fleet in question.
It was a small but growing problem that Sengoku found himself unable to ignore as time passed. However, what more could he have done? The Marines were still recovering from the incident with Boris.
Sengoku was relieved to hear that the Celestial Dragons weren't permitted to leave Mariejois for the time being. However, that wouldn't compensate for all the damages that had been caused at their expense. However, things had to go on.
"Send Borusalino after him; maybe we'll be able to figure out his motives with these attacks," Sengoku instructed. "By the way, how are Kuzan and Zephyre doing?"
The Marine soldier immediately pulled out a document before handing it over to the new Fleet Admiral.
"Their conditions remain uncertain. According to the doctor, it's simply a miracle that they're still alive after all that had happened. He remains uncertain about the recovery time it will take for them," the Marine Soldier reported.
"Keep tabs on them for me on a daily basis. If they open their eyes, I want to be one of the first people to know. Is Garp back in Marineford?" Sengoku asked.
"Not yet; I heard that he's on his way, though," the Marine Soldier honestly replied.
Sengoku then dismissed the soldier before turning his gaze back to the report about Douglas Bullet. He was currently in the New World, causing mass havoc there. There was no doubt in Sengoku's mind that Douglas would eventually stumble into one of their territories and destroy it, leading to another war between those pirates of the New World.
The best thing that Sengoku could think about at the moment was to leave Douglas alone for a while until he shot himself in the foot. Hopefully, the likes of Whitebeard would handle him, and the situation would blow over soon.
Moreover, there was something more concerning that he needed to handle.
Some rather ambiguous orders had arrived from the new Commander-in-Chief Kong. He had asked Sengoku to compile a list of some of the most notorious but powerful pirates that were currently dominating the Grand Line. However, these pirates weren't to be affiliated with Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido in any way, shape, or form.
He was currently perusing pirates who had happened to fit that description, and he had managed to compile a list of several pirates that could have met the description.
However, one of these pirates seemed to have disappeared after Roger's execution. He had been slowly gaining quite the notoriety while he was committing piracy. His Devil Fruit ability posed a threat to anyone who happened to be on land.
"Crocodile.....where is he?" Sengoku muttered to himself as he placed his bounty on a table different from the rest of the bounty posters.
Sengoku sighed as he continued perusing through more bounties. There were various pictures of pretty well-known pirates. At a certain point in time, the picture of a certain three-headed dragon popped up on the list.
Sengoku's veins popped out of his forehead as he threw that poster away to the garbage. The name on that poster had been the reason for a majority of the Marine's predicament, and he still walked around a free man.
He took in a deep breath before he resumed his work.
New World
"G-Get out of here! His coming!!" A pirate captain immediately ordered his subordinates to flee.
However, even they weren't spared from the destruction that awaited them. Their pirate ship immediately got engulfed by an explosion. The source of the explosion in question was a haggard man whose eyes burned with battle intent.
He held a gigantic boulder that was easily twice his size in one of his hands. However, he was holding the boulder like a pebble that anyone could toss around.
"Hmph! They couldn't even put up a decent fight...They're definitely not like him!" Douglas growled as he threw away the boulder.
The boulder in question landed in a nearby village, killing everyone hiding within their homes from the battle that had been going on outside the village.
"Am I just that strong....no, I'm not strong, they're just weak!!" Bullet growled as he stomped his way out of the island.
"I need...I need to find stronger opponents!!" Douglas proclaimed as he looked onto the horizon.
His mind raced as he thought about possible opponents that he could face to find a good battle.
His train of thought was rudely interrupted by a sudden laser attack that engulfed him with a huge explosion.
"Hm~ Did I get him~?" Borusalino wondered as he remained floating in the sky.
Borusalino knew that using a warship wasn't going to be too slow to get to Douglas. So he simply flew out of Marineford and immediately dashed to where Douglas had been last reported. Leading him to where he was at the moment.
Borusalino's Observation Haki flared as he immediately turned to light to dodge the incoming attack that was aimed right at him.
"To think that the Marines would send a Vice-Admiral alone to face me.....Are they fucking with me?!" Douglass growled as he walked out of the smoke and dust.
"As expected, It's going to be a pain to be dealing with you~," Borusalino remarked as numerous dots of light began to emerge around him.
"Yasakani Sacred Jewel!!" Borusalino stretched his arms outwards as those light dots surrounding him immediately began to bombard Douglass.
Douglass weaved through the bombardments as he lunged at Borusalino. His fists were coiled and coated with Armament Haki as he readied himself to knock Borusalino right out of the sky.
Borusalino immediately turned to light and managed to dodge Bullet's initial attack. However, Bullet didn't let him off that easily, and he managed to kick the sky and managed to sock Borusalino right in the stomach.
Borusalino was shocked at the sudden turn of events. He had read through Bullet's file and had a pretty clear understanding of what he could do. Flying wasn't one of them.
'He can fly?'
His glasses flashed as he looked and analyzed Bullet's movements. Seeing how he wasn't kicking the air repeatedly. He was sure that Bullet had no ability to fly and assumed that it was probably going to be a one-time thing.
Borusalino immediately turned to light before landing on the ground. Bullet landed right on the opposite side, facing him as he stood tall and confidently.
"Heh, was that too fast for you to see? How ironic," Bullet commented.
"No need to be rude~," Borusalino remarked as he cupped his hands together. He looked like he was holding an invisible sword and wanted to unsheathe it.
"Sword of The Gathering Clouds of Heaven," Borusalino muttered as he summoned a sword of light.
"Heh, show me the true power of the Marines!!" Douglas roared as he lunged at Borusalino.
Borusalino said nothing, and he rushed right at Bullet in return, and sword and fist met mid-way.
