The Anxiety.

She wondered what Cole could be doing in that moment. 

'Did the mission go well? It has been a week already. When is he going to come back?' 

His thoughts had completely invaded her mind. She would be so much engrossed on his thoughts, she was losing concentration.

After a while, her eyes were getting tired from staring at the ceiling without a blink. She began to close her eyes as they were getting heavy, falling asleep. 

The piercing sound of the alarm brought Merry back from the dreamland. She started to wriggle and stretch her body Her body felt especially stiff that morning. 

 The sun was beaming through her blinds causing her to realize that she had slept in. Usually, waking up was a simple task for Merry as she was a morning person. 

The alarm routinely went off every day in the building at different times during the whole day. One in the late morning, one in the late afternoon and one in the night before everyone retire for the day.
