"How can you have a vampire as a friend "?, they are humankind sworn enemies Clara said.

The Council is split, with some members advocating for the alliance with the vampire, and others against it. The leader, who is against the alliance, gives a passionate speech about their history with vampires and why they can't be trusted. The room is tense, and some members are shouting, while others are silent. Suddenly, there's a loud crash as someone slams their fist on the table, silencing the room. It's Doctor Stevenson, who has just arrived...

As the room falls silent, Doctor Stevenson addresses the Council. "I know some of you have concerns about this alliance, and I respect your opinions. However, I believe that working with the vampire is the best way to achieve our goal. I understand your history with vampires, trust me I have been in your shoes,and I sympathize with your pain. But this vampire is different. She has shown that she is willing to help us, and I believe we should give her a chance.

Ares stands up, shaking with anger. "You can't seriously believe that we should trust a vampire! They are monsters, pure and simple. They are not to be trusted, and we would be fools to enter into an alliance with one. Even if this particular vampire seems different, we can't take that risk. The safety of our people is at stake." The room erupts into a chorus of voices, some agreeing with him, and others disagreeing. Doctor Stevenson holds up a hand for silence, and the room gradually calms down.

Doctor Stevenson continues, his voice steady and calm. "I understand your concerns. But I have carefully considered the risks and benefits of this alliance, and I believe it is worth taking a chance. This vampire is different from her own kind, and she has nothing to gain by betraying us. On the other hand, we have everything to gain by working with her. We can learn more about the enemy, and we may even be able to use her to our advantage. Isn't that worth the risk?" He looks around the room, and there is silence as everyone considers his words.

After a long moment, Clara speaks up. "While I don't entirely agree with what you're proposing, I can see the logic in your argument. But what if we're wrong? What if this vampire is just playing us, and she betrays us when we least expect it? The stakes are too high for us to be wrong." Doctor Stevenson nods, acknowledging the concern. "I understand your concern. But I believe that we can take precautions to protect ourselves. We can monitor the vampire's actions closely, and we can make sure that we have an exit strategy if things go wrong.

Mara speaks up. "But even if we take all the precautions you've suggested, what if it's not enough? What if this vampire is more powerful than we realize, and she's just waiting for the right moment to strike? What if she's playing the long game, and she's just lulling us into a false sense of security? We can't afford to be complacent, or we could pay the price." Doctor Stevenson looks thoughtful for a moment, then replies. "I hear what you're saying, but I believe that we have to take some risks in order to move forward.

"If we don't take any risks, we'll never achieve our goal. And if we don't achieve our goal, then we'll never be free from the threat of the vampires. Isn't it worth taking a chance on this alliance, if it means we have a chance at victory? Isn't it worth taking a chance on this vampire, if it means we can save our people from oppression and destruction?" There is silence in the room as everyone considers what Doctor Stevenson has said. Some of the moon chasers are nodding their heads in agreement, while others are still clearly skeptical.

The moon chasers continue to debate, but the longer they talk, the more apparent it becomes that they are divided. No one can agree on the best course of action, and it seems like they're at an impasse. The tension in the room is palpable, and the members of the Council are clearly getting frustrated. Then, suddenly, the door to the room bursts open, and a figure steps through the doorway.

All eyes turn to the newcomer, and there is a collective gasp as the person is revealed. It's Barbara, standing there, looking calm and collected. There is a moment of stunned silence, and then the room erupts into chaos. The moon chasers are shouting and pointing at the vampire, some of them calling for her arrest, while others are demanding that she be allowed to speak. Amidst the chaos, Doctor Stevenson stands up and raises his hand for silence.

"Everyone, please, be quiet!" Doctor Stevenson says, his voice rising above the din. The room slowly quiets down, and all eyes turn to him. "We will hear what Barbara has to say," he says, looking around the room. "But let's remember to maintain our decorum, and to listen with an open mind." The vampire steps forward, and the room goes silent. All eyes are on her, and she looks around, taking in the tense atmosphere. Then, she begins to speak.

"I know this is a difficult decision," Doctor Stevenson says, "but I believe that we should hear the vampire out. She has come to us in good faith, and we owe it to her to listen to what she has to say. We may not agree with her, and we may not trust her, but I think it is important to give her a chance to explain herself. What do you say?" There is a moment of hesitation, and then one of the members of the moon chasers stands up. "I agree with Doctor Stevenson," she says.

"Enough of your pretences.... Enough.....

Ares said and left the gathering.
