CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO (OVERWHELMED 3)

“Krish, no, please listen to me” Vee halted him in his steps

“Just let me deal with him”

“I can’t let you waste your time on him, he’s not worth it”

“You could have gotten hurt”

“I am fine, I swear I am” she held onto his shirt tightly not wanting to let go as she broke down sobbing

Krish sighed and kicked the air before hugging her “I won’t do anything to him”

She sighed “promise?”

“I promise, just stop crying”

She sucked in air and returned the hug, relief in her whole body

Krish looked down at her, and kissed her hair, she froze and looked up, their eyes meeting and baring each other’s soul and Vee didn’t remember when or why but she knew she initiated the first kiss between them and Krish welcomed it with only an initial hesitation.

There they were, in an abandoned road sharing a kiss they’d never thought was possible.
