CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE (OVERWHELMED 2)

“I hope I didn’t keep you waiting for too long?” Alhaji greeted his guests

Surprisingly, he patted both Zainab and Tristan, specially the former who had bent to greet him and her father’s touch although light and feathery had warmed her heart, he didn’t even want to be in the same room with her one month ago

“No Sir” Tristan shook his head

“Have a seat” he told Tristan

Alhaji wasn’t nice enough to inquire about Tristan’s upbringing or family in their previous meetings but now, he wanted to know he was making the right decision for his daughter and unborn grandchild.

“So you were saying you were born and raised in the states” he questioned the younger man

“Yes Sir, I was born in England but I was raised in Canada” he replied swallowing his anxiousness

“Do you remember what I told you the first time we spoke?” Alhaji asked him
