The Lifegivers

My right hand is so amazing that it can make any inanimate objects come to life. Crazy, right? Do you think I’m god? Nah, I'm just a freshman in college with all his problems. However, my brother sucks. He's a selfish prick who wants to see the world burn. Looks like I have to use my power to stop him. That must be really sucks. By the way, my name is Evan. I'm an alien from a planet called Xionezsoqiuvenoririrexunaxiantiqinoverizovadusuruxivurunzezex. Being an alien is also sucks.

43. A Genius Moment

Evan walked behind Bob while continuing to hold his stomach, which was actually still a little churning. He forced himself not to continue his business in the toilet because he felt very bad about Bob and the other squad members. They have been waiting too long.

"You still can't give life to that thing?" Bob asked as he continued to point the rifle forward. His eyes were so alert to pay attention to his surroundings.

Sighing, Evan climbed the next set of stairs. His eyes were fixed on the black weapon in his hand. "Not yet."

"Do you need my help, Master?" Mimi, who was in Evan's bulletproof vest pocket, asked.

For the second time, Evan sighed. Because he was so nervous, he forgot something very important. How could he have forgotten that there was a Mimi who might be able to provide an answer to a question about his power?

"Sorry, I didn't talk because it seemed like the atmosphere outside was so intimidating. Hehe." Mimi chuckled. "Earlier, I can feel your body trembling violently, Master. The shaking was even more severe than when you met a monster. Looks like the special forces are even scarier…. But, actually, if you asked me at that time, I will still answer, really. That's my job."

Evan tried to ignore Mimi's excuse. Now isn't the time to nag. "Alright, do you know why I can't emit that damn light from my damn hand?"

"That light can't emit at all? Hmmm ... I have to look at your physical state for that. Well, it's probably just a mental problem. Maybe you are too nervous or something. However, it could be because of something physical. Therefore, I have to see you in person."

Evan took out his cell phone and put it down one of the steps. As usual, the cellphone emitted a bright light, which then dimmed, and what appeared next was a beautiful silver-haired woman wearing black tight leotards.

"So?" Evan raised the gun that was in his hand.

Mimi tilted her head, paused for a moment, then spoke. "Maybe because you are wearing gloves?"

There was complete silence.

After a few seconds of frozen, Evan spun around with an expressionless face, then pressed his face against the wall. Meanwhile, Bob held his forehead.

"Then, why don't the glove come alive?" Evan asked in a voice that sounded completely devoid of energy.

"You don't hold it." Mimi chimed in with a grimace.

Another absurd rule regarding Evan's power.

"I thought you knew very well about your power, Evan," Bob muttered. "Well, it was my fault too that I didn't come up with the idea that maybe you should do it without gloves."

"Sorry. I really am stupid. " Evan felt very useless. How could such a trivial thing be missed by him? He became increasingly doubtful that he was the right person to carry out a crucial mission like this.

Bob rubbed his face. "There's no use regretting all of this. Now you take off your gloves and turn the gun into a living creature."

Silently, Evan removed the glove on his right hand. He did it with a face like a person about to cry. It was as if he had just made a terrible, unforgivable mistake.

However, he was just starting to concentrate on transforming the gun when suddenly his ears heard a commotion from above. Bob immediately aimed the muzzle of his gun at it. His eyes suddenly widened wide.

"Run, Evan." The sharp-eyed man hissed. He started walking backward,

"Huh?" Evan raised an eyebrow because he couldn't hear clearly.

"Run! Now!"

The commotion was getting closer and closer. A few seconds later, Evan could see the battle between the spider monster and the multi-horned monster. The two creatures attacked each other as they descended the stairs.

Realizing that he was in danger, Evan turned to run. Just then, he felt something so springy on his elbows. Mimi ran and accidentally hit her chest against her master's elbow. Her breasts had such absurd rebound power that it pushed Evan's hand hard, sending the gun flying.

Evan couldn't do anything. The young man and Mimi could only remain frozen in place, watching the firearm plunge downstairs.

"Sorry." Mimi grimaced again.

"What are you doing! Why are you still there!" Bob yelled and shot the two monsters with his firearm. However, the two creatures were able to dodge the bullets. The spider woman shoots webs from her mouth that entangles Bob's body.

"Run!!!" Bob shrieked at Mimi and Evan, before being hit in the head by a jumping kick from the spider monster. He then fell unconscious.

Evan and Mimi hurriedly ran down the stairs. Evan's heart was beating very hard. His stomach felt more and more pain. As it turned out, if Evan was faced with the monsters so closely, they would still be even more terrifying than the special forces. They could clearly kill him, while the special forces not.

"Shit!" Evan couldn't get over the fact that he just left Bob. However, what else could he do? He certainly couldn't possibly get past the monsters to save that man. He might even be the one who was hit by the attacks of those creatures.

The fight continues. Evan kept running down the stairs. His brain thinks hard about what he can give life. Gloves? Clothes? Headgear? Evan doubted these items could have capable fighting power. They might be like Popo, whose power is reliable, but absurd and takes time to activate.

After dodging several combinations of punches and kicks from the spider lady, the horned monster managed to slash his enemy body using one of his sword hands. Red blood gushed from the diagonal wound on the spider monster. She fell backward and her body rolled down on the steps.

"Ahahaha!!!" The horned monster laughed loudly. His hands were spread wide. "Too bad, even though I really enjoyed this fight. But, soon you will .... "

The horned monster's words stopped because he noticed something near his feet. There were cooked lobsters that got tangled in cobwebs and hanging there. Perhaps, it got caught during the battle in the dining room earlier. Why did that thing still stay in his feet after all that happened was a god's secret.

The horned monster waved its legs violently, sending the lobster flying. Then, he jumped to attack the spider monster who was still sitting at the end of the stairs. The spider monster was still able to dodge and counterattacked. The wounds didn't seem to have much effect on her.

"Ouch!" Mimi groaned when the lobster hit her head.

Evan stopped running immediately. His eyes were on the lobster that had just landed on one of the steps.

That sea creature has pincers. The pincers can be used as weapons. Evan immediately grabbed that dark orange lobster.
