After the meeting at the restaurant ended, Logan and Kara made their way to the parking lot. The night air was cool, and the city lights twinkled around them as they approached their car.
Kara paused just as they reached the vehicle, noticing Logan's phone buzzing in his pocket. When he pulled it out, she caught a glimpse of the caller ID: Red headed Spy.
Kara gave him a teasing smile. "Be a man and take your call," she said with a playful nudge, opening the car door to give him some space. "I'll wait inside."
Logan leaned against the car, watching Kara slide into the driver's seat before he answered the call.
"Hey, Red," Logan greeted smoothly, his voice carrying a hint of a smirk.
"Hey yourself, big guy," Natasha's voice purred on the other end, playful as ever. "Missed me?"
Logan chuckled softly, his gaze shifting to a distant apartment building visible in the cityscape. "Depends. You still stalking me, or did you finally decide to come out and play?"
"Maybe a little of both," Natasha teased, her voice dripping with mischief. "I've got eyes on you right now, in fact."
Logan looked in the direction of the apartment, zeroing in on a particular window. "I figured as much," he said, his voice low and knowing. "You look very hot in your nightwear, by the way."
There was a brief pause before Natasha's voice came through the line again, a pleased smile evident in her tone. "Thanks for the compliment, wolf boy. You've got good eyes."
Logan's lips curled into a smirk, his eyes still locked on the distant window. "Good eyes, sharp senses... you know the deal."
"I do," Natasha replied smoothly, her voice soft but teasing. "So, how was your dinner with Stark? I bet that was... interesting."
"Interesting's one word for it," Logan replied, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "The guy's got a way of talking that gets under your skin, but Kara handled most of it. You know I'm not good with all the small talk."
"That's why you've got Kara, right? She do the talking; you do the brooding," Natasha teased, clearly enjoying herself.
Logan chuckled. "Something like that."
"So," Natasha's voice turned a little more serious, though still playful. "When are we meeting up? I could use a little distraction."
Logan's eyes flicked back to the apartment window, his smirk returning. "Tomorrow evening sound good to you? Kara and I are heading out for a vacation the day after, so I'll be free."
"Tomorrow evening works for me," Natasha replied, her tone light and inviting. "And about that vacation... where are you two headed? Somewhere sunny, I hope."
Logan leaned back against the car, his smirk deepening. "Somewhere nearby. But I'll be thinking about you, Red."
Natasha's laugh was soft but genuine. "Good. I like being on your mind. Just make sure you're on time tomorrow. I've got a surprise for you."
"Looking forward to it," Logan replied, his voice low and smooth. "And Red... keep those binoculars nearby. You never know when you might need a closer look."
Natasha's voice dropped to a purr. "Don't worry, wolf boy. I've always got my eyes on you."
With that, Logan ended the call, slipping his phone back into his pocket. He took one last glance at the distant apartment window eyeing Natasha before turning to get into the car with Kara.
As he slid into the passenger seat, Kara raised an eyebrow at him, her lips curving into a knowing smile. "Everything good?"
Logan shrugged, a satisfied grin on his face. "Yeah. I think I did good."
Kara chuckled, starting the car. "I'm sure you did. Now, let's get home. We've got a vacation to plan, and you've got a date tomorrow."
Logan smirked, leaning back in his seat as they drove off into the night. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

Natasha stood by the window of her apartment, a faint smile playing on her lips as she watched Logan get into the car with Kara and drive off. The city lights cast a soft glow over the streets, but her thoughts were far from the dazzling cityscape.
As the car disappeared from view, Natasha's smile faded, replaced by a contemplative expression. She felt a twinge of guilt gnawing at her—guilt for hiding the truth from Logan about Fury's interest in him.
She knew Logan wasn't one for secrets, especially not between them. But Fury's orders had been clear, and Natasha had always been a Spy first, following orders even when they weighed heavily on her conscience.
Still, she couldn't shake the feeling that she owed Logan the truth. He deserved to know what Fury was planning, and she needed to find the right moment to bring it up.
With a sigh, Natasha turned away from the window, crossing her apartment with quiet, measured steps. Her thoughts lingered on Logan as she prepared for bed, the conversation they had replaying in her mind. She'd always had a soft spot for him, and the last thing she wanted was to lose his trust.
As she slipped under the covers, Natasha made a mental note to talk to Logan about Fury's interest in him when they met the next evening. She knew it wouldn't be an easy conversation, but she also knew that Logan would appreciate her honesty, even if it complicated things.
Her thoughts slowly drifted as she settled into the quiet of the night. Tomorrow would bring its own challenges, but for now, Natasha allowed herself a moment of rest, hoping that the truth wouldn't drive a wedge between her and Logan.
With that last thought, she closed her eyes and let sleep take over.
