The Spectral Order

Author Note: Bit of a shorter chapter sorry for that. Although they will be returning to this Universe to finish what they started, the next one has been decided. I think everyone is gonna love this and it'll be very entertaining.

"Wow…" Pressing her hands against the glass Asami looked out of one of the ship's windows. Due to how fast they had to leave she couldn't even see earth anymore as they traveled through space. "Had the same reaction when I saw it for the first time. Reminded me of Star Wars which is surprisingly accurate."

Asami looked over at Shirei sitting in the pilot's seat. "Ya though I'm not going to act like I know what Star Wars is." Shirei froze for a moment before he shook his head. "Wow, your childhood must have sucked." Asami looked back out the window and nodded. "Ya, it really wasn't. Anyway where exactly is this thing going?"

"Well, I call it the HUB it's basically my base of operations." Listening to Shirei, Asami walked over to the front of the ship sitting down in the passenger seat. "Huh, that's an interesting name. Does it have a bar?" Hearing that question Shirei turned to her. "No, but trust me it's been on my to-do list for weeks now. Well, that along with seeing if I can get drunk."

Both Shirei and Asami continued to speak until they finally reached their destination. Floating lightyears away from Earth in a more or less desolate part of space was the HUB. "I don't know why but I expected it to be a lot bigger." Despite what she was saying Asami had a look full of intrigued as the ship began to dock.

"Took a shit ton of energy and work to even get it up and running. From what I saw what you're looking at now is just a fraction of what it used to be." Connecting with the HUB's docking port the lights and functions of the HUB turned themselves back on from their power conserving state.

As the circular door slid open Shirei was the first to step off the ship. Despite him not experiencing pain like a normal person not having his right arm was uncomfortable. "I really hope the 'N.O.G.B Developer' can make another arm." Following Shirei, Asami cautiously stepped out of the ship.

However, as soon as her feet touched the HUB's floor a piercing alarm activated itself. [Warning! Warning! Intruder detected near Sector #2 of the HUB.] Seeing all the lights turn red both Shriei and Asami panicked for a moment. "What the hell is going on?" Asami looked at Shirei who was wondering the same thing.

"Hey relax shes with me shut off those alarms!" Talking to the AI directly Shirei suddenly saw that a transfer between the information he had gathered and the HUB was being made. [Intruder identified as Asami. Beginning Biography scan…] The scan only took a moment before the alarms turned themselves off and Shirei was greeted by a prompt on in his hud.

[The requirement to activate the project 'Spectral Order' has been met. The being known as Asami has a 94% compatibility rate for sed project. Do you wish to proceed?] Asami had no idea what was going on and neither did Shirei. He didn't know what this project was or what it did but it looked like the AI was interested in Asami.

Before doing anything further Shirei looked back at Asami. "You were serious about helping me outright?" Asami who was still confused slightly nodded her head. "Ya I mean it's the least I could do although this is weird as hell." Shirei shrugged and selected to proceed. 'That was basically her giving consent right?'

[Confirmation received… Reorganizing ranks and activating Spectral Order protocol. Please proceed to the control room.] Following the AI's words, Shirei led Asami through the corridor to the control room. Entering through the sliding door Asami spotted the table in the center of the room displaying a holographic screen.

"Ok this is pretty cool I have to admit." Shirei walked over to the center chair and began asking questions leaving Asami to look around. "Ok so do you mind filling me in on what this whole Spectral Order project is about? I'm a little lost on it." Watching as the holographic screen flashed the AI's voice was broadcasted in the room.

[To fulfill my purpose the Multiverse must be brought to order however that was determined to be impossible alone. In turn, this project was created and set to activate when a compatible being was located. In this case, being the one known as Asami.] Hearing her name mentioned, Asami stopped, looked at the different control panels, and walked over behind Shirei leaning on the chair.

[Following such the ranking's within the Spectral Order will now be changed. Shirei's rank shall be updated to the ranking of General. Asami's rank shall be updated to the ranking of Commander.] On the screen, a list appeared labeled Spectral Order showing the different ranks in the form of brackets.

Looking closer Asami pointed at herself on the list. "Other than you being at the top it looks like there are four more positions open for Commander. Do you have any clue who they would be?" Looking at the list as well Shirei realized that Commander was the previous rank the AI generalized him as.

"Hmm no, I'm guessing they will scan and find like you were. But looking at this list it looks like the AI expects me to build an army." Asami nodded as she reached out and expanded the list. Continuing to stare at it she squinted before whistling. "Holy shit... that's a massive amount of positions open. Screw All For One if you had each one of this position filled you would have an army big enough to-"

Shirei didn't need Asami to finish as he leaned back and finished her sentence. "An army big enough to bring to as many worlds as needed." While he was happy that the AI knew he couldn't handle this alone this was a massive undertaking. He was just at the beginning and the scale this could grow to is beyond anything he had planned.

'Unlike normal army's this one will be most likely managed by Me, The AI, and the four other Commander positions. To make sure this doesn't end up like a normal system that is corruptible everyone has to have full commitment to keeping the Multiverse in order.' He got lucky with Asami despite her…

The personality he could tell and so could the AI that she wasn't a bad person and trustworthy enough. But in the future, he would really have to check on who he decides to let join him or not. While Shirei was deep in thought Asami still felt a little clueless as she decided to ask the AI a question.

"Um so AI thingy? Can you tell me exactly what we're supposed to do? I really don't understand anything?" Shirei snapped out of his thoughts and heard the AI beginning to explain things. "Well, you enjoy having an existential crisis and all that brain fuckery. I need to get my body fixed." Standing up Shirei left the control room and made his way to the workshop.

He was joking but he knew that was technically true. Learning your entire world was based on some stranger's ideas that would mess you up. Even Shirei went through a mental breakdown when he thought the possibility that his earth was the same. It would make sense how a System user managed to get there and destroy it since it was just another fictional world.

"This is all way too meta for me to wrap my head around properly." Entering the workshop Shirei made his way to the 'N.O.G.B Developer'. The capsule doors slid open allowing for Shirei to step inside. The doors then slid close as the two ports plugged him in like before. 'Still feels weird as hell.'

[Warning! Structural Damage to N.O.G.B Left Arm detected. Would you like to begin reconstruction and repair?] Being presented with the choice Shirei relaxed knowing he could get his arm back. Selecting yes he prepared for the 'N.O.G.B Developer' to start but he was presented with another prompt.

[Current Spectral Hub power is inefficient for this repair. Energy has been detected inside of the N.O.G.B unit beginning extraction.] Shirei just remembered he never had the energy he took from the System user in MHA extracted. 'Must forget about it because of all the crazy shit that happened.'

The energy extracted from his body through the plugs and was sent straight to the Spectral Hub's power source. And as it was being extracted the repair progress began as the machine started to fabricate Shirei a new arm as well as fixing his body. After a few minutes, Shirei heard the workshop door open as Asami came walking in.

"You in here?" Looking around Asami's eyes lingered on the 'Weapon Fabricator' for a moment before she heard Shirei. "I'm here just getting fixed up. How are you handling the whole different universe thing?" Asami sighed as she shook her head. "The insanity of it all hasn't really set in yet so I guess I'm coping well."

Leaning on the wall opposite where Shirei was she stared out one of the nearby windows. "So what's the plan? I doubt we're staying here for very long." From inside the capsule, Shirei agreed.

"Right now we can't handle All For One however that doesn't mean we can't in the future. Just from how much energy the Hub is getting from me right now I think one or two more universes should do it. If we play our cards right we'll be able to attack All For One while his guard is down with an army he won't be expecting."

Hearing Shirei's rudimentary plan Asami chuckled. "Well, I did sign up for this though you kind of misled me on exactly what we'd be doing." Following what Asami said, the 'N.O.G.B Developer' capsule began to open. Stepping out Shirei had his arm back along with his body repaired. And of course, all the energy stored inside of him was put into the Hub.

"If we're still alive in the future and I happen to have an entire armada under my command you can try saying those words again. But for now, it's too early to judge."

Hope you enjoyed the chapter although it's mostly just talking. And yes I do plan on having five commanders under Shirei or four now since Asami is on board.
