A Useless Goddess

Author Note: A little bit Info Dumpy this chapter so you can just skim over it if you like! Didn't realize I hadn't posted a chapter in a bit

Sitting in the General's Chair in the Spectral Hub, Shirei was navigating through the holographic screen in front of him. He had been doing a bunch of catching up through all the information he has compiled so far. Though he can do it manually his own personal AI built into his body that does automatic scans in the background and publicly.

And all those scans are added to the Local Database stored here for safekeeping. Although he didn't go through everything he tried to be as knowledgeable as possible especially since his life depended on it. "Ok, I think that's about everything. Just from those few scans, the files the System has on quirks are more in-depth than the show ever was."

Swiping his hand on the screen he closed multiple tabs before opening the 'Spectral Hub Interface'. 'Alright let's just see how much energy that extraction gave me-' As the screen opened Shirei was dumbstruck as he looked at the number closely. "That's… My god that's a lot."

Still stunned from the amount of energy they had Shirei also noticed a few things he hadn't seen before. And of course alongside that, something even displayed the ability to be upgradable. "An Exo Suit? Wait like a mech Exo suit or Fallout style? And the ability to create vehicles might be a good idea." Having so much energy available Shirei was tempted to spend it all in a heartbeat.

However, he used the best of his self-control and didn't. He had to be smart about what exactly he was going to do. "Ok we're going to another universe soon and that requires energy. And so will the fact Asami needs her own weapons as well. I might need upgrades to my own body and my own weapons to be bettered or changed out."

Doing a bunch of math Shirei utilized the AI doing calculations for him along with his ability to make mental notes that save to count everything out. 'A hundred and then around twenty thousand…' It took him around three minutes to sort it all out before he overlapped a tab on top of the 'Spectral Hub Interface'.

That tab was more of a reminder due to the number that was on it. "Five hundred thousand is around what I'll be using including the shift and how long we might be down there for." It was a steep number however Shirei did not consider it too bad. After all, it may be a lot but it meant he had around a million to spend on anything else.

"Show me the description of these three things along with their functions." Pointing to the three cheapest things that caught his eyes Shirei focused on them first. And like always the AI responded as the three of them opened their own screens on top of the holographic one. "Alright let's see here."

[Revitalized Extraction Generator]

Description: This device will create a special room allowing one to extract any ability, power or supernatural force from anything including a living organism. That force will then be left intact and stored within the room's containment values and siphon energy off at a certain rate. This will allow the source taken to regenerate itself and then be absorbed repeatedly creating a generator like an effect.

Note that every energy source has its own limit for how long it can be siphoned this way. Some may last days and some years. Please refer to the Local Database for more information.

Reading that Shirei's mood began to spike. This was exactly what he needed so that everything could be kick-started. Though he still needed some context the idea was simple enough. If he could find a powerful enough source or hell even multiple sources that allowed his energy consumption to go positive then he would be set.

"Even making ten thousand a day would be well worth it." With that thought rooted in his mind, Shirei couldn't see the other two things beating it in priority but he still looked at them.

[Machine Creator]

Description: This device will allow for the fabrication of different machines. These machines may range from ones that are simply helpful to ones that are made for war. Because of this device's ability to also create robots, it should not be confused with the ability to make Androids.

Robots have special limits while Androids can be upgraded eternally and are better for open war conflict. Please refer to the Local Database for more information.

[Vehicle Manufacturer]

Description: This device will create a special room allowing one to create vehicles. These vehicles can range from simple vehicles of travel to ones that can hover off the ground for better mobility. This also further expands to military-based vehicles such as Tanks, Surface To Air, and Marine based vehicles. It however does not include ships or flying vehicles of any kind.

Note other than moving the hub or using a cargo based ship the only other way to get vehicles down to a planet is through Vehicle Teleportation. It can be fabricated through the Machine Creator. Please refer to the Local Database for more information.

Finally reading it all Shirei's brain was overloaded with so many ideas. 'All three of these would be great but I won't have enough energy…' He wanted to bang his head against something due to how unlucky he was. He could only imagine what he could have done if the Spectral Hub was at its best.

"The golden age I never got to see..." Coming to a decision Shirei selected two of the three sadly being forced to leave out the 'Vehicle Manufacturer'. Confirming what he wanted to do the AI's voice echoed out. [Two Functions selected for re-fabrication… -600,000 have been used from hub's current Energy. The remaining energy has been reduced to 835,800.]

Luckily since he was being conservative this time around he didn't have to feel the pain of the hub's energy dropping below a hundred thousand but at the same time temptation lingered. "I heard you doing something here, what's up?" Stretching her body, Asami walked into the room. "Nothing just getting stuff set up for the next Universe we jump to. Hope you enjoyed sleeping on the floor."

Letting everything fabricate slowly Shirei felt the ship shake slightly as the AI gave a small notification. [Due to the additional room and space being added to the Spectral Hub Sector #4 and beyond is temporarily unavailable.] Shirei ignored and so did Asami since the two of them realized that nothing important was past Sector #5 of the Hub.

Sector #1 was the control room while Sector #2 and 3 were the workshop and direct docking areas. Finally, Sector #5 was the room where the power source is, and past that Sector #5 was just an empty walking space. Going back to their conversation Shirei looked at her. "Well good cause we're leaving right after we get the both of us a few upgrades."

Asami tilted her head to the side as Shirei led her back to the workshop. "Oh, this place?" As much as it was in her nature to touch things and of course steal Asami held herself back while on the hub. For all, she knew one little button would open an airlock and have her sucked into space. A sad way to go after surviving All For One.

"Alright let's see what you're interested in." Walking over to the Weapon Fabricator Shirei watched as the large monitor powered itself on. Asami watched as six options appeared on the monitor representing different categories. "I took the time to actually learn what each one is so listen up."

Pointing to them all Shirei told her the different categories. Gun's and the like, Melee Weapons, Explosives, Chemical based weapons, Throwables, and miscellaneous for things that didn't fit in either of them or were hybrids. "I don't know exactly where we're going to be practical with everything. And don't spend more than a hundred thousand alright?"

Shirei could already see Asami drooling over the selection as she realized exactly what she could do. Hearing Shirei she nodded while responding with a creepy smile. "Sure dad." Shirei just shook his head as he walked over to the 'N.O.G.B Developer' for his own upgrades. Over the course of the next twenty minutes, the two of them spent over four hundred thousand plus.

But Shirei didn't feel any regret for it because everything they had gotten was necessary. "Well looks like we both had a field day huh?" Asami looked at Shirei and though he didn't look physically changed the weapons he had on him did. Replacing the rifle and pistol he had on him for more powerful variants, she also saw him get a few other things.

"Your one to talk to. I can't believe you spent eighty thousand on that." Holstered on Asami's back was a massive gun or to be more precise a sniper rifle. Being slightly shorter than Shirei who was around average height the sniper was almost as long as she was but surprisingly she could still move around just fine.

"You say that because you didn't read this description. Besides from this point on this thing is going to be my child." Shirei shook his head as the AI's voice entered the room. Spread across just about thirty seconds from one another Shirei had to admit the timing couldn't be better since they just finished gearing up.

"We can check out the Generator later but there's something I need to look at before we leave." Asami nodded as she followed along being completely satisfied with what she had on her now. Walking out of the workshop room the two of them made their way down the circular hallway to what used to the back of the hub.

But now it had expanded even further with two double-sided doors being branched off in the hall. "So this one would be the Machine Creator room." Choosing a door Shirei followed by Asami walked into the room and were shocked by what they saw. The room had a large line of conveyor belts with all types of mechanical parts ready to move.

Just like the 'Weapon Fabricator' it had a monitor against the wall opposite of the door. "Woah count me impressed…" Looking at all the machinery Shirei slowly walked over to the monitor. It booted on just like the other one however it didn't just have six categories. Instead, it had over twenty representing all kinds of things.

And of course, as much as Shirei would love to go through them all he also didn't want to waste too much time. That's why beforehand he knew exactly what section he was going for. Asami behind him watched as he scrolled past a bunch of interesting things before arriving at one category in particular.

"What are those?" Shirei didn't say anything at first before turning his head. "You'll just have to wait and see when we get to the next universe." Seeing Shirei act so secretive about what it was exactly she decided she would ruin the surprise and would wait. It took about another hour and a half for Shirei to finish doing whatever he was doing but by the end every goal was complete.

Both he and Asami were ready to go to the next universe and even when he asked her if she wanted to wait and take a break she almost yelled no. She was more excited than he was to go to a new universe and explore or maybe it was because she wanted to shoot at something. Either way, he agreed with her no reason to take a break if they were both ready to go.

Soon both of them were in the control room once again but this time Shirei already had the holographic screen up with 'Multiversal Shifter' selected. Placing all five of his fingers on the screen he slowly moved the visual lever for the Shifter up. As he did the ship began to rumble as he heard a familiar notification. [Multiversal Shifter has been activated. Preparing to Shift in five minutes...]

"Uh, are you sure this is safe? It feels like this whole place is going to come apart." Holding on to something sturdy Asami was clearly worried but Shirei just laughed. "Don't worry I've already done this once that basically makes me an expert." The monitor began to blur slightly fading in and out the power in the hub went haywire.

For the next five minutes space warped around the Hub as Shirei spoke. "Here we go make sure you hold on tight." Bending the view through the glass window's everything in their vision turned wanky as the countdown began.

The space around the hub shook despite being a vacuum as light surrounded it. And finally, the hub disappeared from this version of the MHA Universe leaving behind not a single trace of existence. While things calmed down inside the Spectral Hub Shirei and Asami had no idea what was going on inside of the universe they were traveling to.

"Hey, Aqua do you know where Darkness went?" A brown-haired boy wearing adventurer-like clothes glanced down at Aqua relaxing leisurely on the couch in front of him. "Huh? Uh, I think she's out with that guy Muri." Hearing that the brown-haired boy put his hand on his chin.

"I'm telling you something isn't right here. That guy showed up out of nowhere like some kind of ghost and is acting as the Main Character of this world." Aqua chuckled and gave the brown-haired boy a sly look. "Awl is Kazuma jealous that someone is more popular than him?" Kazuma's eye twitched as he looked at Aqua.

"I know what I'm talking about you damn useless goddess!"
