"Hello Dad," Jason said to his father who was smiling too widely for his liking, what was he so happy about?
After his grandmother had told him about the things that his father did to Mason while they were growing up, she made him promise her that he wasn't going to hate his father because of the things that she had told him.
But standing here watching him smile, after knowing all that he had done. Jason felt bile rising in his throat.
"I'm sorry I had to make you come all the way here on such short notice, I'm quite sure you have other things you should be doing by now," his father apologized as he walked over to the couch that was in a corner of his study and sat down.
"It's fine, you said you wanted to discuss something important with me?" Jason asked, eyeing his father skeptically.
"Oh yes, please come sit, I have some good news." His father tapped the space next to him on the sofa. Jason came and joined him.
