Numerous Containers

"Wheee!" Heima landed on the bone pillar, using Bone Devour to melt it into a puddle. Then, she ran over the puddle, manipulating it to create a sea of spikes, piercing through a frog's body, preventing it from jumping.

After all, once the spikes pierced through its flesh and met the bone, they were welded together. This prevented the frog from jumping.

Using this chance, Heima created a bone spike and plunged into the frog, beginning to suck its energy. Though, she frowned immediately, gazing around her as she sighed, "At Tier 3, Bone Devour is too weak."

She noticed that the rate at which she was absorbing the energy from the frog was too slow. Thankfully, she had constricted it first, having enough time to slowly absorb all the energy.

In the meantime, the Shifters of the Bone Family flashed through the battlefield, waving their hands as they pulled the bone pillars like they were made from water, turning them into large cages that they plunged into the Swarm monsters, constricting them to the ground.

In this manner, they continued to move deeper into the Wild Zones. And behind them, hovering a metre above ground was a Ground Controller, groaning as she plunged a magenta spike into the Swarm monsters one after another. Accompanying her in a defensive stance were two Shifters, meant to protect her.

The magenta spike was the Tier 4 Relic with the Unranked Skill of Bone Devour, the only Relic of its kind for now.

And as the magenta spike absorbed the energy, she used three psychic arms to take out three Tier 3 Relics, condensing the Healing Salve using them. A Ground Controller worked in transporting all the Healing Salve to another Ground Control atop the walls.

His task was to compress them a little and store them in large containers. After that, they would transport the containers to a certain building nearby.

As there was just one Relic with Bone Devour, the brunt of work lay on the Ground Controller, "If only Bone Devour had two anchors. Then the Shifters might have been able to use their Tier 3 Skills."

As they moved from one monster to another, one of the Shifters protecting him sighed in exhaustion, "15,000 of this…"

"Well, be glad that it's just grunt work. If we had been punished in any other way…" The other Shifter spoke, shuddering in response, "I felt like my heart skipped a beat when Ancestor Marble expressed his anger."

"Don't make me recall that. Shit, had I been in Havita's place, I would have fainted then and there."

The two Shifters spoke as the Ground Controller went from one monster to another. And on their wake was a sea of brittle, deflated carcasses, sucked of all energy.

"Eh?" Heima looked around in surprise, noticing two Armadillos standing before her as shields. Upon sensing a familiar presence on them, she gazed at the top of the walls, noticing Jyorta nod at her.

"Well, I don't need protection though," Heima muttered, looking around to see the strongest of the Bone Family rampaging deeper into the Wild Zones, "There aren't even any monsters around me now."

"Well, I still appreciate it." She smiled, shaking her head as she continued to suck in the energy from the frog, activating her Trait of Temperance, watching her Sync Rate slowly increase.

After she gave birth to her kids, she had yet to return to Grapple Force. And hence hadn't managed to increase her Sync Rate yet.

Moreover, as her physique was in a weakened state after giving birth, she used the chance to receive Bone Devour. Even though she knew it was pretty useless at Tier 3 and would instead prevent her from using her powerful Tier 3 Skill ever again, she needed it anyway.

It was because increasing her Sync Rate using Frenzy Fruits was risky. After all, her Wisdom Parasite was in a dangerous state, having begun to turn into a Frenzy Parasite once before. So, if she consumed Frenzy Fruits, it would turn into a Frenzy Parasite sooner or later.

So, to prevent that, she had to rely on the Trait of Temperance. But, just relying on the energy gained through food daily took too long. Her mission was to reach the peak of Tier 3 within two years and accompany Jyorta to Desert City on their quest to breakthrough.

And for that to happen, her Sync Rate has to reach 100 percent immediately. That was why she had obtained Bone Devour after successfully giving birth to a pair of twins. After realising that she wouldn't be able to give birth to a normal baby ever again, she obtained Bone Devour.

She had already racked up enough contribution points in the Bone Family's records to obtain the Unranked Skill.

And now, using this mission that gave her a safety net, Heima took the chance to slowly increase her Sync Rate.

Seeing Heima continuing with her task, Jyorta planned to make some tattoos and increase the number of Armadillos under his control once again when Henrik Bone landed beside him.

"The Family Head has ordered me to bring everyone at Tier 1 and 2 back to the headquarters. So, let's get going." He spoke, lifting Jyorta.

"What is happening in that building?" Jyorta asked suddenly, pointing at the building where the large containers of the Healing Salve were being transported into.

"Are you curious?" Henrik Bone smiled upon seeing him nod, "Well, it's not much of a secret anyway. Let me show it to you."

Jyorta didn't even manage to blink when he noticed that he had appeared within the building that he had pointed at. It led into a large underground warehouse where more than ten such containers already stood.

"Why did you bring a brat here, Henrik?" A calm voice resounded when Jyorta was surprised. It was because when the other party spoke, the containers mildly vibrated.

Henrik Bone bowed a little, "Sir, I wish to have one of our younger generations see the refinement process."

"Well, tell him to come in." The voice responded when Jyorta noticed he was in another room now.

There were four containers placed side by side, with their lids open. And, hovering in the air above them was a man in his seventies.

Levitating before him was a large chunk of the Healing Salve, compressed to the limit through his psychic arms as the old man snapped his fingers, causing his psychic arms to radiate myriad colours.

Need a proofreader to quickly release all the chapters I've written T_T.

Been writing too much these days and my mind is exhausted. So, I've been unable to spot the errors as usual. Heck, there was a major plothole in the previous chapter that shouldn't have appeared had I edited normally.
