I was Dumb

He couldn't tell everything that had changed, but he could identify all the physical ones. He was much stronger than before, which likely meant he was also faster and more durable.

Though he didn't know how this was possible, he knew it was due to the Primagen. The Celestial had claimed it was an agent of evolution, which meant his evolution had started.

Deciding to test what exactly had changed, he began running, only to realize that without proper equipment, he couldn't determine if he was moving fast or not.

While moving, he could process everything happening at that speed, but since there was nothing to compare himself to, he thought it was best to stop.

He didn't try to test his durability since that would probably hurt, and he wasn't a sadist or masochist to begin with.

"A treadmill will probably do the job," Oliver stated to himself.

For testing his speed, a treadmill was the best choice considering his situation. Testing himself against a car didn't seem like a safe or practical option.

After a few more minutes of playing around, Oliver decided it was time to get serious. He rushed into the bathroom, took a bath, and dressed in the only other clothes he had: a white t-shirt, black jeans, and a pair of white sneakers.

"Sleeping in a hotel would have been better," he commented as he stepped out of the house.

For some reason, he felt much calmer compared to before. Reflecting on his actions from the previous day, he couldn't help but question himself.

He had stolen money from a homeless man, and as if that wasn't bad enough, he had foolishly staked all of the money on a bet. Without the blessings of the Celestial, he would have surely lost all his bets.

Additionally, his impulsive behavior had led him to barge into an official's office, demanding they take his bribe to expedite his paperwork.

At the end of the day, he had not only bought a house but also moved in on the same day. The sensible thing would have been to find a hotel to stay in and hire an interior designer to handle the furnishing, but he had done none of that.

"What sort of demon possessed me to do all that?" Oliver questioned himself.

Nothing he had done yesterday made sense, and choosing to regret it now wasn't working. The deed was done, and it was best for him to simply try to do better next time.

Now fully dressed, Oliver immediately ordered a ride and left the premises of the new house, heading straight for the nearest interior designer.

Rather than trying to furnish and pick the perfect theme for the house himself, it was best to leave it to someone whose job was literally that.

Arriving at the interior designer's office, Oliver explained his situation and what he wanted for his new home. The designer, eager to take on such a project, assured him that everything would be handled professionally and efficiently. They discussed styles, preferences, and a rough timeline for the project.

With that settled, Oliver felt a sense of relief. He had taken a significant step toward making his new life more manageable and comfortable.

Now, he could focus on understanding this world and finding his place within it.
