Chapter 61

The transformed Jack, in his two-stage form, not only failed to gain an advantage but was pushed back by Arthur. He staggered back a few steps before regaining his footing.

Jack had always prided himself on his strength, rarely finding challengers at sea. Yet, today he was bested by an unknown man, sparking intense anger within him.

Despite his simplistic thinking and lower IQ, Jack wasn't without strategy. Individuals like him were often single-minded but highly focused.

"Fool, I'll end you!" Enraged, Jack gripped the ivory-like ornaments on his shoulders, drawing two peculiar Shottle knives from them.

Seeing Jack's aggression and weapon draw, Arthur leaped to a nearby cannon.

"Thunder Metallurgy, the three-pointed two-edged knife!"

Arthur transmuted the non-metal parts of the cannon into a high-quality metal alloy, fashioning his preferred weapon.

"Take this!" Jack's attack was straightforward, a battle-honed skill devoid of flashy moves.

Arthur, bolstered by the Thunder Fruit's effects, had superior reaction speed compared to regular humans, surpassing even Kizaru's reflexes.

Goro Goro no Mi enhancements extended to reaction time and physical prowess due to the nature of electrical signals influencing thought and action.

The clash between their attacks generated violent air currents, causing weaker pirates to cling to fixed objects on the ship to avoid being blown away.

"Shottle Ivory Strike!"

Although Jack shouted "slap," his attack was two knife strikes from above, resembling sickle slashes but without the serrations.

"100 million volts, Electromagnetic Cone Dragon!"

Arthur swiftly elementalized, using the hand holding his weapon as a hammer and his body to form an electromagnetic coil, targeting Jack's heart.

An explosion of orange light ensued as Arthur propelled the three-pointed two-edged knife at speeds exceeding the sound barrier within a short distance.

This technique, akin to an electromagnetic cannon, propelled the weapon so forcefully that even with Jack's Armament Haki protecting his chest, he was blasted into the ship's hull.

The ship lay wrecked below deck, its upper deck considered demolished. Jack, now in the cabin, had a visible indentation in his chest from Arthur's strike, although his Armament Haki quickly mended the damage due to his formidable abilities.

Blood dripped from Jack's metal-masked face, indicating the potency of Arthur's attack despite its minimal use of lightning power.

Arthur, sensing the impact of his move, couldn't help but grin. This technique had been well worth the thought.

"Roar! You're strong, but I'll end you!" Jack emerged from the wreckage, his demeanor wild and furious.

"Sadly, you're not up to par!" Arthur elementalized again, unleashing a second move derived from the electromagnetic cannon.

"100 million volts, Electromagnetic Slash Wave!"

This time, the electromagnetic thrust was a horizontal slash from the side, powered by the three-pointed two-edged sword at over ten times the speed of sound. With the tail held firmly in Arthur's grasp, the attack gained even greater force.

"War Crash!"

The half-human, half-elephant Jack wrapped his ivory-encased fists in Armament Haki, crashing them into Arthur's weapon.

Boom!

Their attacks collided like an explosion, resulting in a deadlock. Both men staggered back, neither gaining the upper hand.

"What!"

Jack swiftly adjusted, wielding his knives in a scissor-like motion, imbued with potent Armament Haki, aiming to strike Arthur.

Arthur retreated, evading the attack. He couldn't afford to be hit by an Armament Haki-infused strike, knowing it would cause significant harm. Despite the continuous onslaught, Arthur avoided getting cornered, mindful of maintaining his strength and combat experience.

As Jack's relentless assault pressed Arthur toward the ship's edge, Arthur found himself with no choice but to confront the onslaught head-on.
