Cold Plate

He arrived at the end of the day and let out a breath, walking back to his home.

If he was being honest, he didn't really like being Fleet Admiral. It was an immense burden, but a burden that was necessary for his plans. If there came a time where he didn't need it anymore, he would give it up in a second.

He sighed to himself, another factor of the living nightmare he was in…

He pushed the door to his house open and saw Olvia sleeping at the table with a plate full of food on it. He hung up his coat and looked at the food while loosening his tie, he touched it with the back of his hand and frowned…

It was cold.

He sat down and started eating anyway, thinking about the press. He had made a statement about the Seven Warlords initiative, saying that he was glad that there were good pirates willing to aid Marines and a bunch of other bullshit.

However, he managed to insert a little bit of truth in as well. It was very subtle and looked more like a general assertion of strength and propaganda. He basically hinted at the Marines needing to be stronger than the Warlords and not relying on them.

He couldn't say what he wanted to say about the Warlords being a bunch of nonsense that he didn't like. Otherwise he would find himself on the wrong side of some bars.

There was no escape if he was caught. He couldn't become a pirate, he couldn't become a bounty hunter or anything. Galan was 100% sure if he was found out, he would be dead or imprisoned until they could brainwash him.

The simple fact was; he was too strong.

For people like him, the World Government would unleash the biggest raid and operation that had ever been seen. He wouldn't make it out of Marineford's area of influence.

Galan was sure not only would they send the entirety of Cipher Pol after him, but all the Marines, Kong, and most likely the 5 Elders would move out as well. This is why Galan had to calculate every step he took with absolute caution every time. This wasn't a joke. He wasn't going up against some pirate asshole who drowned himself in women and alcohol.

This was a Government that had been standing at the top of the World for 800 years.

Revolutions sounded fun and easy until you started it.

If he could roll into Mariejois and start a massacre, he would. But the fact was that he couldn't. The sheer amount of enemies was too much for one person to handle. Even if Galan was the strongest person in the world, he wouldn't be able to do it.

Not to mention, he wasn't.

Galan was very strong, however, there were a handful of people that were stronger than him. And these people were the ones he was aware of, how many people were in the shadows, being hidden by the Government as trump cards?

Galan didn't know, so therefore, he couldn't, and wouldn't, act out of character around the Government.

As he was thinking, he unknowingly finished the plate. He only woke up when his fork hit the empty porcelain, making a soft ringing sound. Galan looked down and cleaned up the table before turning to Olvia, who was asleep at the table.

Was she waiting for him?

Galan figured she was, for some reason, this woman was getting more and more on his nerves as the time passed. In the beginning he didn't care about her, she didn't even bother him no matter how annoying she was, but as the time passed, he started getting agitated.

He didn't know when it started, but it was puzzling him to no end.

He was 47 this year and he didn't have a single gray hair, looking as young as he did in his late 20s and early 30s. Unlike Tsuru, who was starting to look much older as the days passed, Olvia didn't seem to age at all.

She was 42 and didn't look a day over 21. It was really something to behold. Galan theorized that there was a correlation to exercise and youthfulness, but he wasn't sure. Garp looked old as hell and he was more or less retired, just goofing off these days.

Tsuru was the same but Sengoku didn't look that old and he was the same as the other two!

As for Zephyr… That guy was just a monster. He never stopped working out, even though he was basically retired. He would join his students and train them while demonstrating so he was pretty much exercising every day.

He looked like a tank and young too! However, he was 14 years older than Galan at 61 years old! He didn't look any older than 40. So forget about him.

Galan exhaled through his nose looking at the beautiful woman on his kitchen table. He slowly picked her up after a few seconds, holding her back and behind her knees as she leaned on his chest.

She shifted positions and rested her hand on his chest, her frown turning into a smile as she continued sleeping, breathing gently. Galan ignored it and brought her to her room, laying her in her bed before leaving to go to the sea stone block, taking off his suit, changing into shorts only.

He touched the bloodstained surface and snorted gently, closing his eyes as he felt his heart beating louder and louder.

From the beginning of his life to him being forced to sanction Piracy, he clenched his fists and let out a roaring-grunt, punching the Seastone block wildly.

Once again, over and over, smashing his fists into the Seastone over and over, endlessly.

Olvia heard the familiar banging and smacked her lips, turning over in bed, seemingly calmer than before…
