Chapter 5 - Not Removed, But....

Morning has come.

The chirping of forest birds echoed. The cool mountain air brings freshness throughout the forest.

".... Morning."

Lepus, who just woke up, went to the river to wash his face.

"Ahh... Fresh."

Lepus then uses his wood spear to hunt for fish. After getting enough fish, he return to the big tree to roast the fish and eat it.

"Huh~.... I'm full. Wait, what happened last night wasn't a dream, right? I actually ate a devil fruit, right? Let me see."

Lepus swung his arm, but instead of the object in front of him disappearing, a purple-black tear appeared in front of him.

"What is this? A tear? In the air?"

Lepus then reached out his hand to touch the tear, but it felt like nothing.

"Could this tear be opened? I'll try."

Lepus then moved his hand to open and widen the tear.

"Hm? Really? Then, what's behind this tear? Can it be entered?"

It then enters through the tear and enters. Inside the torn space it looked like a dark-purple space with black streaks that seemed to move squirming.

Lepus then came out of the dark room.

Then he swung his arm to find out another possibility of his power. And this time what happened was... silence! The sound of birds chirping, the rustling of the grove of trees in the wind, or the sound of the rapids of a river in the distance, all disappeared without being heard!

"No sound now?"

Lepus then swung his arm back, and the voices were heard again.

"Try again."

This time what happened was that the air temperature that should have been cool and cold in the morning suddenly became warm!

"Now the temperature is changing. Try again!"

This time the forest that should have been light turned dark like night.

"It's dark now? Once again!"

This time Lepus swung his arm towards a butterfly that happened to be passing not far from him. And as a result, the butterfly that was flying slowly suddenly became fast!

"Ya**** ****ri..... Boundary! It's the power to manipulate boundaries! No wonder it can produce different effects! Removing objects by manipulating the Form-Empty Boundary, tearing space by manipulating the Space-Time Boundary, remove noise by manipulating the Loud-Silent Boundary, change the lighting by manipulating the Light-Dark Boundary, change the temperature by manipulating the Hot-Cold Boundary! And maybe many more!"

After that, Lepus began to explore the various potentials and uses of his devil fruit ability.

"Quick and slow Boundary!"

"Real and illusory Boundary!"

....

"Far and near Boundary!"

....

Some time later....

"Hah, hah..."

Lepus fell to the ground and looked exhausted.

"I'm tired.... It seems that to use of this ability is not as simple as I imagined. I have to increase my physical and psychic powers so that it is easier to use and master this ability."
