Chakra Control!

The chopstick broke as Hikaru overloaded his chakra by a tiny bit, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He could feel his entire chakra pool just egging at him to be used as it flowed through his system. He hadn't noticed it before but the density of his chakra had increased a lot since his awakening of the Mangekyo.

He meditated for a little bit as he felt his chakra flowing through his body in a circular manner. The chakra control exercises he had done until now had been pretty easy but back then his chakra was a lot calmer.

'I still have quite good control of chakra because my skill level is set at 30, I'm thinking if I had to relearn those exercises it would be a little harder.' Hikaru thought, after a few minutes of meditation he opened his eyes and brought up his status screen.

He kept an eye on it as he focused on extracting as little chakra as possible from the tenketsu in the middle of his palms. The chakra normally flows through the body through the chakra network. The chakra networks run parallel to the major veins in the body and connect to all cells within the body through capillaries. 

Each cell within one's body produces chakra which is collected and refined by the heart. There is nothing like a chakra core as the heart is the one that is finally responsible for most of the heavy lifting when refining chakra. That is also the principle behind which the Hyuga clan's taijutsu works.

Hikaru emptied the distracted thoughts from his mind as he took out another chopstick from the pack, he placed it between his palms and instead of opening it all the way as Tsunade did. He opened the space to just a sliver and then focused on pushing out the tiniest amount of chakra that he could.

'Sharingan'

His eyes turned blood red as the chakra emerging from his hands became visible to him, with each heartbeat his chakra surged a  little but Hikaru was able to control it and only let the minimum amount of chakra pass. The chopstick was still leaning against his right palm so slowly Hikaru increased the amount of chakra emerging from his right palm.

After a few moments, the amount of chakra emerging from his palm overwhelmed the weight of the chopstick and it swung in the opposite direction. Hikaru hurriedly controlled the amount of chakra that was outputted by his right palm and increased the chakra that came out of his left palm.

The chopstick slowed down somewhat but it struck his palm and Hikaru was back to square one. He sighed and closed his eyes, he let his mind wander for a bit as he relaxed and then focused once again.

In the next 5 attempts, the chopstick collided with his opposite hand disrupting the training, and broke when he tried to output the same amount of chakra from the other hand. After 5 attempts he had managed to grasp the essence of training and he sighed at the difficulty of the task.

'I kinda understand why Tsunade-sama asked me to use a chopstick for this, if I had a needle I could simply cheat my way by blasting an equal amount of chakra from both my palms and it wouldn't break.' Hikaru concluded as he stared at the broken chopstick in his hands.

While his earlier approach of using a small sliver to get familiar was good it wasn't enough as it didn't give him enough time to get into the rhythm. 

'The Tree walking was all about outputting a fixed amount of chakra to counteract my weight. The most basic chakra control exercise that helps one pocket out the amount of chakra to be used in Jutsus.' Hikaru thought about the very first chakra control exercise he learned.

'The water walking was about changing the amount of chakra that comes out of your soles depending on how the waves were in the water. It helps in instantaneous chakra control rather than the fixed chakra control.' Hikaru closed his eyes and thought about the fixed needle in between Tsunade's hands.

'Even though my Sharingan was not active then I'm pretty sure that Tsunade outputted stable pulses of chakra from alternate hands at a stable rapid rhythm to keep the chopstick still. The burst could not be too strong or it will break the chopstick or swing it too wide causing it to oscillate.'

The basic theory on how to do and what needed to be done was deduced by Hikaru, the only thing needed to be done was to apply it in practice. If there was one thing he was confident on then that was his talent.

{2 hours later}

"...alright those of you who want to continue come back in two days, we'll go over the principles of handling deeper burns," Tsunade spoke as she saw the shinobi one by one bow in her direction and leave. She bent down to pull out a bottle of sake from her desk but found that it was empty, only a few shot glasses were lying around.

'-Tch when did I finish the last bottle.' Tsunade grumbled as she walked over to her office to break into her emergency stash. Unless there was an emergency no one would disturb her, her grandfather had introduced her to gambling. Frequenting those kinds of establishments was bound to rub off on her. To deal with the death of shinobi she could not heal, Tsunade had begun to rely on sake to numb herself to sleep. 

She opened the door and froze as she saw Hikaru hunched over on her desk, she wasn't able to see his results but she still froze as she saw that she totally forgot that he was practicing chakra control in here.

'Right, I forgot to send him away, it's been around 2 hours right at least he should be able to-' Tsunade froze as she saw the chopstick oscillating between Hikaru's hands. The movements were still large but they were steady as he was working on bringing the rhythm down.

AN- I hope I didn't bore you guys too much but this chakra control technique was a little too important for the medical ninjutsu system that I have devised.

P.S. I changed the timeline somewhat after reviewing the clip about his death... it was funny as shit. Nawaki graduated a year before Minato and Hikaru and would feature in future chapters! I know have to change a lot of stuff in my roadmap...fml
