: Chapter 33 - Liana’s POV

I miss Luna. It's been a month since we saw each other. We have never called each other not to mention texted each other. I wish she were here tho. Ryan has stopped bothering me, at least. I no more want anything to do with him or his bitchy girlfriend. I've learned to protect myself thanks to the combat lessons. I'm a bit stronger.

Every day I see my friends find their mates and they look so happy and it makes me think about how my mate was. "Asshole," I say as I walk down the hallway. I bump into someone exactly after cursing Ryan. "Ouch," I whisper.

I look up and find the guy who had saved me that day. "It's you," we say at the same time. We smile and apologize, again, at the same time. This time we laugh.

"We meet again," he says.

"Yeah," I reply.

We look at each other for a moment then I smell an amazing scent. It drove me mad. I inhale it and whisper, "This isn't Ryan's scent," I tell myself.

It was so strong and the person was nearby. I look at the guy who was just standing there staring at me as if I was a ghost. I feel my cheek burning up and they begin to glow orange then violet.

"What the..." I say.

The guy gives me his hands and I receive them. What happened next shocked my mind.

Our marks started glowing. At first, I didn't understand what it meant until he whispered, "Mate".

"Me? Your mate?" I say looking a bit shocked.

'How can I have two mates?' I ask myself, 'It can't be possible'.

"You must be mistaken," I tell him withdrawing my hands.

"The scent, glow, and warmth...," he says, "..you're my mate".

Before I could say anything else he wraps his arms around me. He buries his face in my shoulder and his scent comes poring into my nose, suffocating me. "I've been waiting for you my whole life," he says, "I can't believe it's you tho. Why is it that the first time we met nothing happened?" he asks leaving me now. I tell him, "I already had a mate...but he rejected me".

"Right, then I'm your second mate," he informs me.

"Second mate?" I was so confused.

My mark changed, I have a second mate! "Let's go and see the principal, he'll explain the things to you," he grabs my arm and starts dragging me. His touch felt warm. Better than Ryan's.

We arrive at the principal's office but he wasn't there so we waited. I sat on the bench outside his office. He comes and sits next to me. His scent was so suffocating. "You never told me your name," he says giving me a warm smile that caused my insides to go upside down.

"Liana. My friends call me Lia," I tell him, "You?".

"Brooke," he says.

'Brooke...that name sounds familiar,' I think.

I remembered Luna telling me about her stay at Blakes's pack house and that she met his siblings and one of them was called Brooke. In shock, I jump out of my seat and stare at him. He looks at me confused and asks if I'm okay. "You're Blake's twin brother," I whisper.

"How did you...Wait," he says, "Now that I think of it you look a lot like Luna".

"Well daaahh I'm her twin," I say crossing my arms over my chest.

His jaw drops and he smiles, "This gets more interesting," he says.

I sit down again and he says, "I never thought you would end up being my mate," he chuckles a bit and I think it was kinda cute as his bangs fell down his forehead, "Girl who wanted to end her life".

"Haha very funny," I roll my eyes at him.

"I wonder if I would have a mate if you had killed yourself that day," he whispers but I hear him.

"Well I didn't die because of you," I reply. There's silence before I say, "I want to thank you tho, though I wasn't in my right mind that day".

He looks at me and smiles, "If I got to know you were my mate that day, I would have marked you by now," he says.

"Are you trying to scare me!"I yell.

"I'm just joking," he says.

"Sure you are". After some quiet 5 minutes, the principal arrives and we enter the office.

"Ah, Brooke Williams. You're finally here. My apologies for making you wait," he apologizes as he organizes the table. He signals us to take a seat and I sit next to Brooke.

"Welcome to West Gate University," he says.

"Thank you," Brookes replies.

"I thought you were two," the principal looks at me and raises an eyebrow, "Miss Emerson, What are you doing here?" he asks me.

"I..uhhh..." I stuttered not knowing how to tell him.

"My sister will be here shortly she had to go back for something urgent and she's my mate," Brooke speaks for me, "But there is a small matter sir".

"What is it?".

"You see sir, she had a mate but when we bumped into each other, her mark changed into mine," he explains.

The principal remains silent and then told us he was going to ask the oracle for us. Brooke gets his schedule and we get on our way to class. We had different classes so we had to part ways.

"I guess this is goodbye for now," he says.

"I guess," I whisper.

I turn around to go to the other side but he stops me and pulls me. He gave me a back hug and kissed my cheek, "Enjoy your day," he says then pauses, "I'll look for you after classes".

"O..okay," I stutter.

I felt safe in his arms. He lets go and says, "Go before you're late". I just nod and walk off to class.

I enter the class and luckily the teacher wasn't in yet. I take a seat on my desk and start pulling out my books from my bag. As I was doing so, Ryan came over and slammed his hand on my desk making the class quiet.

"Who is he?"he demands.

"Are you asking or demanding?" I raise an eyebrow at him as I slam my pen on the desk.

"Answer the damn question Lia, Who is he?" he asks again.

"Someone not of your concern," I tell him.

"Really? Why did he kiss you?".

"Am I supposed to tell you everything that's happening in my life? And were you stalking me?" I reply.

"Yes and also no, so now tell me," he says again.

"He's my new mate since you rejected me for that bimbo," I tell him.

"I apologized Lia. I miss you, babe," he says as he plays with my hair.

"Miss me? Where were you when I liked you? Having fun with that bimbo right? I no more like you Ryan. I was a fool to not see it earlier. I found my new mate and so will you. While you still have the time just fix yourself and become a better mate. So can you leave me alone," I tell him, "Oh, and while you're at it pick up my pen that fell because of you".

He looked speechless but he deserves it and to be honest and I felt good for telling him a piece of my mind. He picks up my pen places it on my desk and leaves the class. As soon as he leaves all my friends and the others start cheering.

"You told him girl," one of my friends tell me.

I felt really happy. Finally, I could stand up for myself without Luna's help. I can't wait for our birthday and introduce her to Brooke. I mean she knows him but I still will.

We'll be eighteen soon.
