: Chapter 34

Two weeks left for my eighteen birthday and we hadn't found a way to stop Adonis. I wish all this wasn't real. But I can't do anything about it but live with it. Today I wanted to go to see Haley for ideas but she wasn't there. She had gone to solve a matter that was happening at Liana's college.

Someone has two mates. If it's really possible then it's possible for Blake to find his too. It would be a great way to avoid conflict and disaster. He and the others will be safe while I go back with Adonis...but it pains me to lose Minsi. I can't do that to her, she has been there for me even though she can be annoying sometimes but there's no other way. I wish there was a way to make her a real wolf.

I read through the book Sabrina had given me. I was now knowledgable to the mythical world. Vampires, Werewolves, Witches and other mythical species like mermaid. I like mermaid more because they are honest and when the like you they will forever do.

As I grew up I always heard people saying that mermaids are cruel, vicious creatures. That they are scary and that they kill. If only they knew the honesty mermaids have they wouldn't be saying all this. I wish I could meet one. I heard they are able to explain one's own feelings. I would want mine explained because I'm entirely confused with my feelings right now.

Tomorrow we'll be going on a field trip to this waterfall in the nearby hills. I heard mermaids are there and if you're lucky enough they will grant you a wish just one but that wish would cost a treasure in return. I have marbles and I think they would love them so I'm packing them.

The day comes and I'm ready for the trip. I take a seat in the middle of the bus and Blakes comes to join us too. While he makes sure we brought everything he and I need I'm on my phone talking to Zane and Ria.

Ria: I miss you girl.

Luna: I miss you too. What gossip am I missing there? Who's the girl who found her second mate?

Ria: You don't know? I thought she told you.

Luna: Who?

Zane: Your twin, Liana

Luna: Wait what! How?😧

Zane: From what I heard her second mate was a newbie and they bumped into each other. Her mark turned into his and boom, they are mates.

Luna: At least that asshole Ryan is no more her mate.😒

Ria: I know right and you won't believe it she actually stood of for herself and told Ryan off.

Luna: i'm glad to hear that she can now stand up for herself without me helping her.

Zane: I know. She's lucky to have you Luna. We all are and we miss you.🥺

Luna: Awww, I miss you guys too.🥹

Ria: When are you coming? Are we invited to your eighteenth birthday party?

Luna: You are always welcome. Invited or uninvited.

Zane: You're the best.😁

Luna: I know.😌

Ria: Sure.😑

I laugh at our conversation and Blake looked at me confused.

"What's so funny? Care to share?" he says.

"I'm just talking to Zane and Ria," I tell him.

"Ohhh, so you're saying you were not listening to what I was saying," he says.

"You were saying something?" I ask.

"You weren't!" he shouts but not too loud.

"Sorry," I apologize.

"You are Absent minded these days, What's wrong love?" he asks caressing my cheek with his thumb.

'If I tell him, he will protest and it might ruin my plan,' I tell myself, 'I probably shouldn't'.

Minsi was asleep to yell at me and I was glad. "It's nothing. Just wondering if I will see a mermaid. I even bought marbles in exchange for a wish," I say.

A smile appears on his face making me wonder if he will smile at me like that when he finds out the truth. "Really? And what would that wish be?" he says.

"It wouldn't be a wish if I told you," I answer.

"Of course," he whispers pouting his lips and putting his hands over his chest. I giggle and give him a little kiss on the cheek that made him smile again. Our journey starts and we're on our way to the waterfall.
