Chapter 3

As Izuku opened his eyes, he found himself back on his usual path home right in the underpass below the Bridge. He couldn't help but wonder whether that was reality or a part of his overactive imagination after a stressful day.

"There is only one way to know for sure." He muttered as he stretched his hand out with a slight tremble, in the hope Bakugo hadn't destroyed the last pieces of his sanity today. After a moment of hesitation, he began to concentrate searching for a foreign feeling as his heart raced and pounded in his chest.

Just as he felt something inside himself, his focus got interrupted by his instincts warning him of danger, as he heard a strange sound in front of him. Before he could react, slime formed in front of him.

'A Villain!?' Izuku thought as the monstrous villain finished forming.

"Well, what do we have here? A medium-sized Skin-suit, you'll make a perfect invisibility cloak kid.", stated the slime villain with an almost sick amount of glee. It lunged at the green-haired boy as he raised his hands in defense. Instinctively Izuku focused on the foreign feeling he felt moments ago, as black miasma radiated from his hand forming a black spiral composed of a black misty substance.

'This is the power of the Yami Yami no Mi!' realized Izuku excited at that moment, but his happiness only lasted for a brief moment before he realized his Power made the sludge Villain fly towards him even faster.

As the Villain realized that, he began to laugh and ready himself for attack only to freeze in shock once he made contact with Izuku's outstretched hand. Once the Sludge touched Izuku's palm the Villain turned into an ordinary man.

"W-what!?" Izuku flinched, pulling his hand back as if the Villain was on fire before he realized what was going on, allowing his opponent to turn into sludge again. For a moment he felt something else in that dark tunnel, something that shocked him.

"DAMN, YOU KID! I'LL KILL YOU!" shouted the Villain enraged as he began to surround Izuku with sludge. Beginning to squeeze the air out of his lungs, putting the boy into a state of panic.

'Am I dying?' thought the boy who couldn't shout as his mouth was covered by sludge. 'Why me? I just got my power and my journey is already about to end.', panicked Izuku as he was desperately trying to touch the sludge villain with his hands which were covered in black miasma. But the Villain learned his lesson forcing the hands safely away from his body. In his panicked state, Izuku wasn't able to think properly or he would have tried something else.

"It's okay brat!" laughed the Villain, "As long you don't touch me. It will only hurt for 45 seconds. You are really dangerous better take care of you now.", he added as he continued choking the boy.

"Have no fear boy!" said a loud voice, interrupting the both of them, "For I am here!" All Might appeared in his full glory from the sewer as the lid flew off.

Jumping in the direction of the Sludge Villain, readying his fist as he dodged an attack from the sludge. "TEXAS SMASH!", splattering the villain in the surrounding tunnel with a mighty smash just as Izuku lost consciousness. 'A… ll... Mi…g'

~Later~

Pat, Pat, Pat. "Hey! Hey!"

"Ugggh." Groaned Izuku as he opened his eyes once again, only to be staring at the hulking and imposing figure of All Might.

"Thank goodness! You are okay!" bellowed the top hero as he took on a new pose in front of Izuku.

"WHAHUUUH!" exclaimed Izuku, shocked from suddenly coming face to face with his Idol.

"And you are lively to boot!" acknowledged All Might with a wide smile, before continuing "I have to apologize. I got wrapped in Villain cleanup!! I am not always this way, I swear! Must've been off my Game. Too excited by this foreign Land, perhaps.", explained the No.1 Hero All Might, as Izuku could nothing do than to stare in awe.

"But I have to thank you! Your help allowed me to shut this sludge Villain into this Bottle here!" said the Hero in his classic hero voice, as he showed Izuku a Bottle filled with dark-green mud-like sludge, where one could clearly see eyes and a mouth.

'It's All Might! Right here in Person. Seeing him here is completely different from the Videos.' Realized Izuku as he started to think more clearly than before, "A-autograph. I h-have…" stammered Izuku who picked up his Notebook that was dropped during the confrontation with the Villain and opened it, only to reveal All Might's signature, "It's already in here!"

"T-thank you so m-much. I will t-treasure it as an Heirloom!" thanked Izuku the No.1 Hero.

"Well I am off, delivering this Criminal to the Authorities!" said All Might as he abruptly began to leave, "When we meet next it will be through a TV Screen."

"EH! Already…?" asked Izuku who realized he had so many things to talk about.

"Pros have to fight Villains and Time itself." Explained to the muscular hero as he began to ready himself for a jump, "Now then be sure to keep…"

'Wait! Don't go yet… I have something I need to ask…' thought Izuku desperately as he began to reach out for All Might, 'I need to know… Can a Quirkless person be a Hero? Quirkless?' For a moment Izuku hesitated as he remembered the fight with the Sludge Villain, where he accessed the powers of the Yami Yami no Mi. In the eyes of the world, he wasn't Quirkless anymore. He himself knew, although he was Quirkless, he wasn't powerless anymore.

This moment of hesitation would change the path of his future forever, as the No.1 Hero jumped with a massive leap disappearing in the sky, Izuku was a moment too slow to grab onto him.

"… CHEERING ME ON!" where the last words Izuku heard as the Hero vanished. All the boy could do was stare at the spot the pro Hero left from.

'THE DREAMS OF MEN WILL NEVER DIE!' Just at this moment, he remembered the Words of the Shadow that he met in that dark place. "That's right." He realized.

"I am no longer powerless. I have a real fighting chance now. A power of my own." He muttered as he stared at his Hand which was coated in complete Darkness before it surrounded itself with the Dark Miasma once again, "It doesn't matter if it is the most evilest Devil Fruit or Power. In the end, all that matters is how I use it. And with that, I can surpass Kacchan or even All Might and become a Hero."

With this newfound power, he would be able to become a Hero. Right now he has no real control or idea over his capabilities, but he had enough time before the entrance exam for U.A. began. He had much work and training to complete. But it didn't matter. Because right now he had a real chance to complete his Dream and become a real Hero.

"Zehahahahaha!" he laughed as he once again continued the path toward his apartment, where his Mother was already waiting for him.
