Chapter 9

[A/N: Heyo! If you're enjoying the story, I'd greatly appreciate a positive review! Also, I hope you enjoy this juicy chapter and the ending!]

No longer wanting to put off the magical moment, Jax pressed 'Done', and like with the tablet, a strong light appeared, blinding Jax even though he closed his eyes in anticipation for it.

When Jax opened his eyes, before him was all of his henchmen in all of their glory, bowing on one knee before him, and Jax could hardly keep the big grin from his face.

"We are here to serve you, Master." they all spoke at once, giving Jax chills of excitement. But, he wasn't sure how much he liked being called "Master". Jax saw himself more like a young Noble just lording over his subjects.

Taking off his helmet, Jax gestured for them all to stand. "You may rise. From now on, you will address me as 'My Lord', or 'Lord Wolfe' when I'm dressed as a civilian. But if I have my helmet and armor on, you are to address me as, 'Lord Shade', is that clear?" Jax asked in a soft, yet authoritative tone.

"Yes, My Lord." they all said simultaneously, making Jax smile.

Looking over his men, Jax was impressed. The droids we're bi-pedal and were covered in thick metal plates and fortified limbs, which told Jax that these droids were centered for towards defense and attack power rather than speed and agility. Their heads looked very intricate and had two optical sensors on the center of their face, but each droids optical sensor shined a different color, which could help Jax differentiate between them.

They also came armed to the tooth with futuristic assault rifles, plasma pistols, ion rocket launchers and thermal grenades, just to name a few. Jax would definitely be studying all of this tech, as it could jump his company ahead of even Stark Industries with how advanced they are. The droids even come with a propulsion system which helps them fly short distances. If Jax could make cars or ships from this tech, he'd be classified as one of the worlds top geniuses.

Next came the shinobi which were two men and one female. They all had Asian features and dressed in armor resembling the shinobi from Naruto. Jax knew that this world already had deadly ninjas known as The Hand, and may have already caused trouble for them, but Jax wondered if he could poach a few of those ninjas for himself to help boost his numbers. Either way, Jax would leave finding more shinobi recruits to the shinobi in the future, for who would know shinobi material better than an actual shinobi.

Then there was the scientist. He looked like a young, serious guy that cared about nothing besides work. He had short black hair, plain face, and thick, black rimmed glasses. He honestly reminded Jax of Ida from MHA, only less muscular. Jax planned to stick him with the weapons research, as well as finding more scientist to assist him in his research. But, each prospect had to go through Jax before they stepped foot in a lab, so that he can use Telepathy to see if they're a spy. That way, he won't have any leaks of his advanced tech.

Lastly was the quirk-user, who Jax was thankful for, because not only was it a guy, they didn't have any weird deformities either. Jax planned to have them spread their genes around, so the plan would take forever if it were a female who needed 9 months just to push out one baby. But a man was different, as he could impregnate 6 to 7 girls a day if he were lucky. But, Jax also wanted him to get training in combat, as it never hurt to have a powerful person who's loyal to you by your side when you need it.

After learning their names, giving them all a communicator to reach him, Jax assigned them all their jobs, and then teleported home. Jax had been busy building that base and then choosing the minions and assigning them their jobs, even with his enhanced stamina, Jax was exhausted. After confirming his mother was still sleeping, Jax took a quick shower and went to bed as well, hoping to get just a few hours of sleep.

The next morning, Jax was awoken by his mother calling him downstairs. When he got down there, he saw a sobbing MJ and Jada comforting her. Rushing to her side, Jax looked at her face and began growling, his father's side threatening to come out.

"Jax now isn't the time to be like your father! I've been trying to get her to tell me what happened, but she has yet to stop crying." Jada said, holding a bag of frozen peas to MJs bruised and swollen face.

"It's her prick of a father! He saw me and her together yesterday and even called me a crow before he yelled at her to come inside. I swear, I'll bury him for hurting my MJ!" Jax growled, trying and failing to contain his rage.

When Jada got the full story, she wore a saddened face and quickly grew angry as well. MJ was just a sweet, young girl, so for a grown man to beat her like this and throw racial slurs at her son, she began wondering if she should become darker form again and send that prick into an infinite mental torture that put even an Uchiha Genjutsu to shame. Alas, Jada was an adult and not blinded by young love.

Even if she were to call the cops to get MJ away from her father, she would more than likely just end up in the system. Sure, Jada wouldn't mind taking in MJ or anyone else for that matter, but Jada just didn't have the money or space to do so, as they only lived in a two bedroom house, and by law, each child would need their own room. So, unless some kind of miracle happens, Jada's hands were tied.

Already having thought the same thing, Jax figured it was now or never to enact his plan. "Mom, I know we don't have the space yet, but can she just stay with us for a few days? I'm getting paid really well at my new job and my boss is holding a lottery as a promotion for the company and the grand opening for the new headquarters in East Harlem. I already entered you in on the recommendation of my boss! If you win, we'll be set for life, and we can take care of MJ too." Jax said as he activated his puppy dog eyes.

"Headquarters in East Harlem? Wait, do you mean to say you work for that giant fortress that popped last night?! Jax, what are you not telling me?" Jada asked with a stern look that made Jax feel like she knew his every secret, which honestly, she could if she wanted.

Jax knew that his mother had a strict policy if not reading others minds, especially each other, but as a worried mother, Jax wouldn't put it past her to snoop a little if she felt like he were in danger, so it was time for him to pull of an oscar-award performance to get the heat off of him.

"I'm not in any danger, I promise! Mr. Shade, my boss, put out a job ad with a test, and I'm apparently the only one that passed. Since being hired, I helped him buy a small business, which apparently helped him break into a whole new market, so to thank me, he gave me a really nice bonus. Like a super nice bonus." Jax said, scratching his head, hoping that his mom wasn't probing his brain as he spoke. He had developed a mental wall, but against an Omega level telepath? He might as well be wide open.

"Anyway, I haven't told you, but ever since... The night I met dad, I've been feeling, smarter in a way. So I've been studying super hard and learned a lot of new stuff, like to coding, engineering, and robotics to name a few. But I drew up a few concepts for future designs, he had them checked, and the next thing I know, I'm the owner of a tech company. He said he has tons of companies overseas and was looking to develop bright young minds that will help lead the world in the future." Jax said, getting lost in his lie.

"I know you're mad I didn't tell you I was working before I told you, but that was my choice, not his. He truly is a super nice guy mom, I promise. When I tried to low-ball the company we were buying to help save us profits, he decided to pay nearly triple, to not only buy the other properties for what they were worth, but so that the seller and his daughter could afford to live if they chose to retire."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before mama, but I didn't want you to say I couldn't do it anymore. I like running a company, and I'm actually good at it. And I even hired a lawyer to look everything over to make sure I wasn't somehow being tricked, but he assured that everything was completely legit." Jax finished, hoping against hope that his mother would believe him so they could hurry up and be openly rich.

Jax wasn't boujee or anything, but why have all of that money and still live in the struggle?

They were silent for a while, besides the quiet sobs of MJ, before Jada finally let out a heavy sigh. "Jax I feel like you're still not telling me the whole truth, but I'll choose to believe you, given that this is something too extreme for a highschool student to randomly come up with. So, besides this "lottery", which seems like this man just trying to buy you off for some reason, how much have you made with these really nice bonuses?" Jada asked, suddenly very exhausted from dealing with her son.

"Well, he gave my access to the company card, which has, over 50 million on it, but just from my wages and the bonuses, I have about 5 million dollars. He said that since I am the legal owner, the company money is mine to spend as I please, but it still doesn't feel right to use the company money for personal gain." Jax said, rubbing the back of his head bashfully. It was weird saying such a huge amount out loud.

Jada and the crying MJ both froze and looked at Jax in disbelief, looking for any kind of lie on his face and finding none. Jada felt as though her mind might explode, as just with the 5 million dollars, their whole lives would change. But she quickly regained her composure, because at the end of the day, this was her son's hard earned money.

"Well, Jax, I don't know what to say, but whatever you want to do with it, I fully support you." Jada said with a genuine smile. She couldn't be anymore happy that her son had finally found his place in life and was doing well for himself already.

Hearing this, Jax was beyond thankful that his mother was so amazing and thanked God for blessing him with her, because she was his greatest boon that he didn't even ask for.

"Well, I want MJ safe and out of that brute's house, so I say we move to a bigger place. Luckily, I just so happen to run a realty company and already have a few properties, so that won't be hard. Worst case scenario, we can move into the suite at the headquarters, but the area isn't exactly the best yet, so it would be more of a last option move." Jax said, making a mental note to start buying more properties around the base so that his family could be safe travelling there.

"That could work, but I think you're missing a huge point here, Jax. Why don't you ask MJ what she'd like to do? At the end of the day, this is her life we're talking about here." Jada said wisely, making Jax open his eyes widely, as he couldn't believe he forgot to ask MJ what she wanted and just started making plans for her.

Turning to MJ, and giving her a comforting hug, Jax began stroking her hair to help her feel better. "I'm so sorry that I got carried away MJ. When I saw you hurt like that, my brain just went blank and I didn't think clearly. I don't want you to feel obligated to do anything, because I support whatever decision you choose. What would you like to do MJ? If you want to stay with us, I promise you'll get all the care you need and more. My mom always talks about how much she wanted a daughter, so I'm sure she'll love it, right mom?" Jax turned to face Jada.

"What can I say? Girls are just better. Plus, you don't like shopping and getting pampered with me, so it can be something me and MJ do, no matter what she decides, okay MJ?" Jada said, placing a loving hand on MJ, making her cry even more.

All of MJ's life has been nothing but disappointment and suffering. Her mother left her life at a young age, and even when she was there, she wasn't the nicest person. and then her father treated her horribly on a daily basis, and repeatedly struck her, which is why she covers her face with her hair, in hopes of hiding her constant bruises. But, it didn't matter whether she did or not, because most people acted as though she were a ghost or they bullied her like those mean girls did.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say that Jax was literally one of the first people to show her true kindness and what love and caring looked like. Even Jax's mother, Jada, treated her like her own daughter, and MJ cried many nights wishing she could experience love like that on a daily basis, and now they were offering her that chance.

"I-I want to stay here! I promise I won't be a burden! I'll cook, clean, I'll-" MJ said frantically before being pulled into a loving hug by Jax.

"It's okay MJ, you don't have to try to prove your worth ever again, you're safe, as from now on, you're my family." Jax said with all of the love in the world, making Jada smile as she wondered if her son inherited the Jade persona along with her Dark Jade.

Jada was happy as long as her son lived a relatively normal human life, but feared that one day he'd be exposed to the truth. The truth of who they really were, as at that point, nothing on this earth would stop the storm heading their way.

A lot of changes! What could Jada have meant?! I will say this, Jax and you all have just assumed that Jada was merely an OC, but it is Jax's presence that has changed this original Canon character into who she is now.

All I'll say is, the hints are hidden in plain sight!
