chapter 21- heartfelt reunion
(Luffy POV)
We sailed over reverse mountain like it was nothing but I completely forgot what was on the other side. "Luffy, we are about to hit something big!" Nami yelled, "hold on! stop the ship!" I yelled back. I completely forgot about Laboon, I can't hurt him, especially since Brook is here. Speaking of which, this is going to be an interesting reunion.
"How are we going to do that?!" Nami screamed back, I bearly heard he over the deafening noise that the stream of revers mountain caused. "I'll take care of it! everybody hold on!", I yelled at the top of my lungs before using gear three to enlarge my right hand and compressing it into itself. "Air cannon!" my giant arm shot forward while expanding to its enlarged size, and blasting a ridiculous amount of air forward which, of course, pushed us backward. "Luffy what the hell!" Zoro was mad since I didn't tell him what I was going to do, "oh please if you can't handle that much how are you going to defeat Mihawk?". *BAM* Zoro punched me in the head with a vein popping out of his forehead.
"Anyway, can we focus on the giant wale?", Sanji asked as he stared at Laboon. 'Yea I don't want to punch Laboon since brook will kill me, wait a second, Brook doesn't know this is Labon'. "Hey Brook, remember Laboon?" I asked him casually, "yea why?" Brook was confused, "well you are in front of him", I said. "W-what?! captain this is no joking matter, I left Laboon fifty years ago he would have already moved on". For the first time, Brook spoke seriously, no laughs or jokes, he refused to believe that Laboon waited for them for fifty years and got countless scars. "It's really him, he waited here for fifty years for you and the Rumbar pirates, as for his scares, he refused to believe that you were dead so he tried to break the red line countless times so he could go to west blue where he believed you would be waiting".
Tears started to fall out of Brook's eye sockets somehow, I never got how he did this, and he almost jumped off the ship as he shouted to Laboon. "LABOON! YOU'VE GROWN SO BIG! IT'S ME, BROOK! DO YOU REMEMBER ME? I CAME BACK TO YOU!" brook was trembling on the edge of the ship as he begged Laboon to notice him. Laboon heard his familiar voice and slowly turned his giant eye towards us. "LABOON!" Brook cried as Laboon came closer, Laboon heard Brook's cry and finally recognized his voice. *SPLASH* Laboon swam to Brook so fast his movements caused a tsunami one hundred and fifty kilometers high. 'let's let them enjoy it' I thought as I used my conquerors haki to forcibly sunk the tsunami into the sea. "ARRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOO"{I didn't want Laboon to roar and this is how Reddit pronounced it}, Laboon sounded a happy cry and almost crashed headfirst into Merry but I caught his forehead and stopped him before he did.
As soon as I caught Laboon, Brook jumped on him and hugged every spot, above the water, that he could. "well then, I'm sure you and Laboon have a lot to talk about, I'll make something to eat", Sanji said as he saw Brook start to tell about his adventures to Laboon{without telling him that everyone died, of course, I would never do that to Laboon}. And so we spent a couple of hours just doing stuff around the ship as Laboon had a happy expression listening to Brook. "And that's how I came back to you", Brook finished his story with a wide smile as he looked at Laboon. "Well then, let's get going", Zoro said impatiently, *BAM* Nami's fist had smoke coming out of it as Zoro was knocked out on the floor with a giant bruise on his head. "Take all the time you need Brook", Nami told him gently. "I think I told him all of my stories", Brook said with a slightly sad look in his nonexistent eyes.
"Laboon, it's time for me to go, but I promise I will come back with better stories, maybe even the story on the pirate king" Brook said as he looked at me. "My point is don't ram your head into the wall again, I will come back to you again so don't hurt yourself. By Laboon, I'll see you next time" Brook said with a sad tone as we started sailing. "ARRRROOOOOO" Laboon cried and tried to follow, but I used my conquerors haki to quickly knock it out for a minute.
"Captain?! why is Laboon like that? is he going to be fine?" Brook got worried and asked me, "I just knocked him out for a couple of minutes while we sail away, don't worry he'll be fine" and with that, we continued our journey. "Guys the newspaper is here!" Nami yelled a couple of days later while I helped her navigate to the first island because we forgot the God damned campus{I forgot how it's called in one piece can someone write it in the comments?}. "Hey, apparently the marines caught some high-level pirate and are going to execute him in two weeks", Nami reported, "what's his name?" I had a bad feeling, "it's Portgas D. Ace". *BAM* the sea split as I accidentally let loose some conquerors haki, "Zoro" I said as I bearly controlled my anger. "Y-yea" Zoro had never seen me like this and was horrified, "tomorrow we begin haki training".
