Devil Fruit Strategy

Alyssia was always interested in how certain powers worked and the potential they had.

In the right hands, they could reach their full potential and be used in all kinds of ways.

In the wrong hands, they would be used in the most basic and incorrect ways.

Those that preferred to fight at a closer range had more of a choice in the abilities they would have but those that were ranged combatants would need abilities that provided evasive, higher ranged or support type abilities.

The disease Devil Fruit was the opposite of the heal Devil Fruit but they both had similarities in the way they provided excellent support to the battlefield.

They could change the tide of battle once the abilities were used on many people then those allied with them could take advantage of the opportunity given.

The Devil Fruit of Van Augur was the power of warping that could warp himself or his allies.

It was similar to the shambles ability of the Op-Op Devil Fruit that Law had but the range was longer and there was less control over the surroundings or the objects around the user.

Each of the things he warped would remain still where they reappeared so it could not be used to manipulate nearby things to throw them at enemies but they could possibly be dropped on them from above which was enough to be useful in other ways if it was possible to move things besides those that were living.

Alyssia had encountered some Devil Fruits and knew of their potential but was still unsure if each of them were perfectly suited to their user since there could have been better options in the world available to them.

Some landed in the hands of someone by chance and others were taken by the previous users before being given to them.

Upon meeting her, Ann already had her own powers that brought pictures to life and projected them around her surroundings to create illusions.

Finally was the discovery of a new Devil Fruit or an artificially created Devil Fruit, one artificial fruit had been given to Ein while one spare fruit remained in her possession.

Jester and little Li were the ones that had the decision made for them by an unknown force or something similar to fate.

Yvie, Medea, Ting, Ton and Archie had gained abilities through stealing of others.

Yvie was able to use her Wolverine Zoan Devil Fruit to dig under the ground and boost her combat abilities so that her close and ranged combat could be used tactically that fit with her upbringing that suited a versatile combatant.

Medea had a cyborg body that was difficult to damage through ordinary means and the being able to move around quickly and turn into lightning made it more difficult to harm her while her single and multiple target combat abilities were improved further that suited a quick swordswoman.

Ting and Ton gained the Float and Muscle Devil Fruits that helped to let them exert more power or lift many things that were not possible for their smaller size.

Archie gained the Quake Devil Fruit that enhanced his destructive power to a much larger scale.

Ein was far more fragile than the others so the logia powers helped to protect her more and could be enhanced further using her research so it could be used to provide support and capture or obstruct her enemies.

Little Li was most suitable for a less complex power and Jester's experience had made his Snatch Devil Fruit suited to him more than others.

When used together, they could each support each other and could be put to use strategically to defeat all kinds of difficult opponents.

The main weak links in her crew were those with weaker physiques that were lacking in powers of their own or Haki but Alyssia could see that the Blackbeard pirates had been used well and protected their weakest links by keeping them out of reach from the enemy.

The only person that could provide enough of a problem to their plan was Marco who could fly and bombard their ships with his phoenix fire but he was kept busy during the battle.

The battle dragged on for a long time until one side weakened further and the destruction around them had become much larger as phoenix fire met the large amount of darkness as Marco and Blackbeard used their most destructive techniques.

The side of Marco started to weaken and there were many deaths and injured when Van Augur disappeared from his location and reappeared by Blackbeard.

He placed his hand on him then disappeared again and nobody noticed where they were until it was much too late.

The black vortex that formed on Blackbeard's hand appeared behind the back of the neck of Diamond Jozu then the three of them disappeared again.

Alyssia watched as it happened and how the battle was still ongoing, there was not many that could look for those that disappeared or provide aid for Jozu. 'Where did they go?'

Alyssia did not wish to go around making enemies everywhere but she had already halted one of the plans of Blackbeard.

Blackbeard was someone that needed to be stopped or he would cause many problems in the world and Alyssia never liked him as someone who was a reader or as a person who was living in the same world.

She thought to herself. 'I am not exactly an ally of the Whitebeard pirates and have not intervened so far but is it okay to let this continue?'

Alyssia had some understanding about why Jozu had been taken away and it would not be good if Blackbeard gained an improvement to his current abilities.

Blackbeard was not her enemy but Alyssia did not wish for a potential enemy to increase their power further.
