In Marvel with a Star Wars System

After watching The Last Jedi, lifelong Star Wars fan Ethan declares "I don't love you anymore Star Wars!" Sharing his disappointment with his best friend they happen upon a mock-up of a Lambda class shuttle. Claiming to be a new immersive Star Wars video game, the two friends decide to play only to discover that the game isn't a game. Now transferred to the Marvel Universe, the two friends discover they are embarking on an adventure. The MC is a Jedi Initiate while the primary supporting character is to be a Mandalorian bounty hunter! Come along on the journey to become strong in the Force and explore the Marvel Universe! **This is not a traditional system story. I hope to do a system story different from others I've seen. If you love traditional system novels, this won't be for you. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Author's Holocron This fan fiction is meant to be superior to the machine translations of Chinese stories. It strives to have characters with EQs above an insecure child. Even better, my MC won't be an evil one-dimensional villain who somehow convinces the heroes of the Marvel universe that murdering is fine. It will also avoid being a business school dissertation that involves becoming besties with Tony Stark. There won't be a business plan on how the MC will make billions of dollars, and then run off into space and realize all of the effort they put into creating a business could have been spent better by being a hero. The story will also avoid spending eighty percent of its time running errands and dwelling on micro-explanations of how they are using some pseudo-scientific ideas to grow OP. In summary, I've written this story as something I want to read. I plan to write it as long as I'm enjoying it, and I hope to share this adventure with others who are looking for something fun. If you're someone who loves reading fun stories and wants to see how Star Wars and Marvel could interact, then keep reading!

Assessment

Evaluation of Padawan Gar Finn

Age: 17

Assessor: Jedi Master Sy M'tz

Date: June 4th, 2000

Location: New York area

FORCE

Jedi Skills: Control lvl 1, Sense lvl 0.5, Alter lvl 0

Weapons: Training lightsaber

Comments: He received the training lightsaber as part of his gift basket.

Lightsaber forms: Form I: Shii-Cho lvl 3, Form II: Makashi lvl 0, Form III: Soresu lvl 0, Form IV: Ataru lvl 0, Form V: Shien & Djem So lvl 0, Form VI: Niman lvl 0, Form VII: Juyo (or Vaapad) lvl 0

Comments: His perseverance paid off as he raised his skill quickly. Advise that he master this form before moving on to the others.

Rank: Padawan lvl 1 rank 5

Comments: His talent and hard work were part of his growth. Padawan Finn was nearly corrupted to the dark side due to the near death of his friend, Sol Herem. He broke free of its allure and strengthened his connection to the light side. Although the student matures quickly, he still struggles with childish behavior, rashness, and manipulates others.

His potential is tremendous but his arrogance risks a fall to the dark side. I recommend slowing his training on skills and force powers. Instead, meditation and control will aid him the best.

Possesses a strong sense of justice, kindness, and loyalty. These strengths serve him well, but without careful guidance, they could be used in the service of the dark side.

LOGISTICS

Vehicles: Rancor, modified '74 Mercury Cougar

Comments: Initially acquired the vehicle through questionable means. Padawan Finn modified the Earth vehicle into a combat vehicle with an astromech slot. The Padawan has demonstrated a long inclination toward mechanical engineering. I recommend that he be trained further in this area.

Droids: R3-M2 (astromech-military grade), 2-1B-63 "Surj" (Medical droid), WAC (Dum-series Pit droids, 1 authentic, 22 Earth), MX-05 (Constructor droid, 1 authentic, 11 Earth), ET-74 (Construction droids, 1 authentic, 9 Earth), Mark II (Construction droids, 1 authentic, 4 Earth), Foreman (Droid foreman, 1 authentic, 3 Earth)

Comments: Padawan Finn acquired authentic versions of most of the droids, and after understanding their construction method, programmed the authentic droids to build earth equivalents. Not only is the student technically talented, but he is also capable of great creativity. He demonstrates an intuition towards technology similar to Anakin Solo and his grandfather Anakin Skywalker.

Total Droids: 56

Base(s): The Garage

Comments: Through his droids, Padawan Finn, has delegated the construction of his base to his many droids. The base is still being built.

Rank: Logistics lvl 1 rank 4

Comments: The Padawan is obsessed with learning and creating technology. I expect he will begin to develop custom tech instead of relying on the Star Wars System opportunities for purchase. He isn't interested in medicine and prefers having a droid for those needs.

He does his best to use what is available to him from his environment to address his needs. He isn't unaware of his limitations and uses the system to address shortfalls. Especially when it comes to nerf steaks.

Importing nerfs to Earth or a nearby planet could be a valuable source of revenue. The Padawan isn't driven by money. His money interests are limited to supporting the development of his Jedi abilities. Without the council's aide, he is talented at doing enough to acquire what he needs.

Final Comments: Jedi Padawan Gar Finn demonstrates firm moral qualities necessary for any Jedi. He is loyal, and kind, and shows concern for others. He is not bloodthirsty and seeks to stop enemies without killing them, if possible.

His strengths are the things that could lead him to the dark side and more training to strengthen his mind and heart. He nearly fell to the dark side in his first major mission. If it were not for external intervention, we would have a new dark Jedi or a Sith. To his credit, his near fall strengthened his connection to the light side of the force.

He gained insight into himself and did not retreat from a nearly hopeless battle when it spun out of his control. His skilled use of a lightsaber form Shii-Cho demonstrates his talent.

Padawan Finn demonstrates a talent for sensing through the force. He is capable of sensing conflict, thoughts, and feelings from others. Force visions are beginning to appear to him.

For every positive, there is a negative. The Padawan demonstrates a reckless streak and follows his Force visions leading to a lack of control. He nearly caused the deaths of his two closest friends, and this almost led to his fall to the dark side.

In conclusion, Jedi Padawan Gar Finn is a rare talent in the force, but there is much danger in his training. His master is advised to be mindful of the boy's development.

Having said the bad, I am pleased by our choice of a Jedi Padawan. He is a credit to the order. I look forward to his future accomplishments and believe he will one day be an important voice in the Jedi Council.

Force Mastery: 8, Jedi Skills: 9, Control: 6, Technology Intuition: 9.5

Assessment Grading: 8

Recommendation: Given this is his first assessment, and that he is on his own and maybe for a while his assessment rewards should be graded higher.

Note to File: Recomendation accepted, student will find rewards calculated in his mission rewards and inventory tab.

"I thought I would get trashed in this thing," Gar thought. He turned his attention to the Mission Rewards Tab.

He found a subsection, "Assessment Rewards" and "Assessment 1."

The rewards were categorized Material Rewards, Permissions, Skills, and Credits.

For the material rewards, he received traditional Padawan clothes and robes. A set of droid tools, Marksman-H training remote, WJ-880 blinding helmet, macrobinoculars, a Jedi Holocron, and a level 2 training lightsaber.

Under Permission, he unlocked Store Level 2, Level 1 Jedi Holocron access, and general access to the Level 1 Jedi library.

For the Skills, he received, Force Push and Pull, Telikninesis, Level 2 Droid knowledge, Level 1 Field Medic, Level 3 Maglift, Level 3 Repulsor, Level 3 Speeder design, Level 3 Materials and Handling, Level 2 Blaster Design, Level 2 Power Packs, Level 1 Detonators, Level 1 Communication Equipment, Level 3 Programming, Level 3 Hacking

Finally, under credits, he saw a shocking amount, 37,583 Credits.

"Thank you Master M'tz!" He couldn't help but yell. After he settled down he considered whether he should spend it or save it. Looking at everything he gained, he realized spending the credits now would be a waste. He should focus on mastering his new skills, training his lightsaber, and investigating the Holocron. Buying now would be doing so without reason.

"Hmm, maybe I'll make battle droids to protect the place while I'm gone. I'll need to study the new materials. That would be fun!"

At that moment Surj walked into his apartment, "Pardon me, Master Finn, a human is asking to see you. He says his name is Agent Phil Coulson.

"Agent Coulson is here?" Gar felt through the Force and felt the familiar presence. He also felt the presence of a couple of other people waiting in a parked car. "Show in the two guests, Surj.
