March 15th, 1943 was a important day in Adam's new life. After convincing his parents and a tearful Emily to let him leave home and leaving behind a stash of healing and antidote pills for emergencies for them, he left. Armed with a forged ID that was made to make him three years older then he actually was, he made his way to a recruitment center in Brooklyn.
Adam's was excited as he entered the bustling recruitment center, his youthful face almost betraying him. After a series of physical and mental examinations, he was stamped with an A1 mark.
Over the next 11 weeks of basic training, Adam's determination and strength shone through. He quickly rose to the top of his class, outperforming even those with years of experience over him. His dedication and skill caught the attention of an observer from the Strategic Scientific Reserve.
Approached one day after training, Adam was presented with an opportunity that he was waiting for. The agent from the Strategic Scientific Reserve spoke of Project Rebirth, a venture to create super soldiers and get abilities beyond normal humans.
"Yes," he answered without hesitation. With those words, Adam sealed his fate, agreeing to become a candidate for Project Rebirth.
Soon, Adam found himself at Camp Lehigh, a training camp in New Jersey. He joined a select group of recruits, each with their own unique qualities that had caught the Strategic Scientific Reserve's attention. Excitement filled the air as the recruits prepared to undergo intense training, all in pursuit of becoming something extraordinary.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over the camp, Adam lay on his bunk, his mind racing with thoughts of the days to come. Tomorrow, the real journey would begin.
A young man named Steve Rogers, whose destiny was also intertwined with Project Rebirth, would soon walk through the camp's gates, and their paths would converge in the morning.
