6 Meeting Steve Rogers

At morning roll call, Adam finally knew what Marvel Universe he was in when he saw a scrawny-looking Chris Evens and knew he was in the MCU. Knowing now that Adam is ready for the future, he was about to introduce himself to Steve when another person he recognized as Peggy Carter walked over.

"Recruits, Attention!"

All the recruits lined up at attention. "Gentlemen, my name is Agent Carter. I will be supervising your induction today." As she said this, she started passing out papers. "To begin with, I shall need you to complete this document."

Everyone read: "LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT." Everyone but Adam and Steve looked at the paper nervously.

A meaty guy, Hodge, grumbles as he takes the papers. "What's with the accent, Queen Victoria? I thought I was signing up for the U.S. army."

"What's your name, soldier?"

"Gilmore Hodge, your majesty."

"Step forward, Hodge." He does, as she points out where to stand.

As she was talking to him, Hodge kept making inappropriate comments when Carter distracted him and then punched him right in the nose, sending blood down his nose.

Making the recruits laugh, Adam sees that Steve is especially pleased.

"Agent Carter!"

The men leap to attention as Colonel Philips approaches.

impressive, all military. Erskine trails behind him.

"Colonel Phillips."

"I see you're breaking in the candidates. That's good." The Colonel looks at Hodge. " You. Get over there in that line and stand at attention until somebody tells you what to do." Hodge scurries back. Phillips stands before the men.

"General Patton has said that "wars are fought with weapons and won by men." Phillips notices the sickly Steve. He scowls at Erskine. "We're going to win this war because we have the best men, And because they are going to get better. Much better." After explaining everything, Phillips left after saying one last thing. "The Strategic Scientific Reserve is an Allied effort, made up of the best minds in the free world."

At the end of reception, the recruits were taken to orientation, where they would undergo administrative processes such as medical exams, uniform issuance, and an introduction to camp facilities. Then they were sent back to the finest and unpacked in the dormitories given to the recruits. Their Adam finally Introduces himself to Rogers.

Standing next to Steve's bed, I said, "Hello, I'm Adam, Adam Bayard." Adam says he's reaching out for a handshake.

Shock anyone would talk to him Steve hesitated for a second before looking at Adam's smile. He knew he was a good guy, so he introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Steve Rogers." Taking Adams hand and shaking it.

hearing the familiar 'ding' of completing a mission, Adam's smile grew. "Nice to meet you; are you ok with me taking the bed next to you?"

No, go right ahead." watching as Adam starts unpacking his stuff. "Where are you from?"

"Brooklyn, you?"

"Same." Stave is happier knowing they're from the same place.

Good, then we need to stick together and show these meatheads who's the best."

"I don't know if I'll be able to do that; I'm the weakest one here."

"So what, not everything is determined by strength; it's about not giving up, and looking at you as you are and then seeing where we are, I think you're the strongest one here." Adam tells him as he pats him on the shoulder.

"Thanks, then let's get to sleep and get through everything tomorrow." Steve said it with a smile.

With the light turned off and everyone in bed, Adam says 'Missions' in his head.

Seeing his stats grow from one meeting, Adam can't wait to do the same with the other Marvel characters at Camp Lehigh. But that would have to wait, as he needed sleep for tomorrow's physical training.
