Chapter 51

Zephyr Pov:

We are dragged and thrown into the cells but I do not see Thorfinn. My guess is that he is still guarding the ship though I am scared so I ask worriedly. "Mom will Karlsefni be Ok."

"Yes he will be fine, he has defended a bigger territory from far worse. He was even a match for your relative, his Great uncle Thorkell." She said but then one of the romans said. "Wait if his great uncle is Thorkell then he Must be Thorfinn and you are not who you say you are!"

At that the man runs off and my mom whispers something to my father. At that he says this to everyone. "Guys watch the kids when we break out, I want you to get to the ship and have it go towards Thorfinns old house. Ok." "Yeah." Everyone else but me and Nuffink says.

"But why dad?" Nuffink asks. "Because we will be stalling them and meet you there. We have a bunch of secret pathways on this island and know it better than anyone. Trust me you will be ok." He says and somehow calms us down.

A little later a very beat up Thorfinn. I am currently covering Nuffinks eyes so he does not have to see it though he is complaining. They throw Thorfinn in and Flavius asks. "Who are you exactly?!" Even though he is clearly mad he is trying to stay calm.

"Well I guess you should know but then why should we tell people who invaded our old Island." My father says as he stands up and goes to the bars. "Do you really think that these can hold us." He finishes coldly.

"Yes because even if you are from this island you did not create the—." He did not get to finish because dad opened it up and rushed him pinning him to the wall. "Move another inch and he dies, just like the last one 9 years ago." My father said coldly.

From that I am wondering what he means but I can't ask him because mom says. "Take Thorfinn and the kids through the hole in the wall and to the ship. If you have to kill or explode, just do anything to get them there and follow the plan."

"But there is not a hole in the wa—." I was saying to mom but didn't get the chance to finish as she punched the wall straight down. "GO!" She yells and we are taken back to the ship. The twins are carrying us while fish is carrying Thorfinn. Snotlout is currently defending all by himself though.

As we are about to be surrounded I hear something charging and then a dragon blast appears right next to the enemy knocking them out. I look back and do not see mom or dad but instead I see a Nightfury and A Lightfury. Though that should not be possible Toothless was the last Nightfury and all dragons are supposed to be gone.

I do not get the chance to continue thinking as we board the ship. We are put in the cabin with Thorfinn as the rest fight everyone off. After every Roman is defeated we leave as fast as possible going around the island without mom or dad!

"Fishlegs what about mom or dad they are not with us!!" I yell at him. "Don't worry they have faced worse by them selves. We are currently heading to Thorfinns old house, they will meet us there." He says though I am not buying it.

"Go below NOW!" He yells as I see arrows incoming. I run and grab Nuffink and we go down to our room.

A little later I hear us docking but we stay hidden not knowing if we will be caught. The romans didn't get anything since we escaped so quickly but it is very dark. Eventually the door opens and we continue hiding until I hear. "Zephyr, Nuffink?"

It was dad and mom. We run out and hug them crying. I say. "What took you so long, and what was with those dragons?"

"The reason it took us so long was because we had to run around the island in the other direction to divert their forces. We have a hideout here that had a hidden passage to here. As for the dragons we had an ability that lets us transform into dragons, reason being is we were in danger of dying once so our dragons took us to a beast to save us. He ignited our dragon souls to make us have the healing powers of dragons. Since you are our children you may have the same power though do not try to do it because it may cause mayhem. The villagers do not know because it may be bad and also mutism is an example of what we are." He says so I hit him on the head.

At that he says. "Why is it violence with you and your mother." Which earns him a punch from mom. "Why did you keep it a secret?" I cry.

"Because it may have been dangerous. Can you understand that Zephyr, Nuffink?" He responds though I am not so sure. "Give us some time to think about it." I ask and he nods.

As we go to bed we can't help but think about it. So much so we cannot sleep. In the morning we decide to tell them our answer. "We thought about it all night and decided to forgive you and keep it a secret."

"Ok thankyou though you should probably get some sleep if you stayed up all night." He says and we go back down stairs to bed as we go to our next stop. We had left last night after Dad and mom had got on board and we were heading northeast.
