Chapter 52

Hiccup Pov:

As we continued Northeast towards Dragons edge Zephyr came up and asked me. "Dad what happened at this island because you said it was from when you were 17 to 19 and what happened from when you were 12-15?" Knowing I cannot put it Off I think for a second.

"Well, this island was when we were taking care of external affairs and those who wished harm upon us and berk. By being there Berk was not in danger and we were closer to our enemies to keep an eye on them. It was an outpost." I say and continue to tell my story of why we were there.

They were amazed by it and could not wait to see it. Little did I know was that my friend Thorfinn's past was catching up with him. I know little of what happened in his life when he was a teenager.

As we come into view of the island I see smoke and say. "Guys, looks like someone is there or the volcano is active, what should we do?" "We could just go to our outpost and just try to ignore it, it has not erupted in a long time and if it is a person then we should just leave them." Fish said.

"Good idea, lets not provoke them if it is a person. If the volcano is active we will have to take a rain check, is that ok kids." I ask Zephyr and Nuffink and as expected they say. "NOOO!!!"

"Fine." I give in and we continue to said towards the edge. We go around to the bay in front and dock. We get off leaving Snotlout and fishlegs guarding the ship since Thorfinn has not seen this island before.

"So what is this places name dad?" Nuffink asks. "This is the edge, which reminds me, something should be here. You guys remember the dragon eyes." I say remembering that I put in a fake dragon eye 2 since I could not destroy it.

"Wait you didn't destroy it. I thought we talked about this and agreed that they were to powerful!" Astrid says. "Well, they still had a bunch of knowledge and also they couldn't find the king of dragons with it." I respond as we get up to the arena level.

"What is that?" Zephyr asks pointing to the arena. "That is the Arena where we trained and practices Zephyr. Now come on let me show you guys around." I Finish.

I proceed to tell them about what we did here. As we were doing that we walked around showing them the huts, Stables, and eating area. Then we came to my hut. "So whos hut is this?" Nuffink asked.

"Take a guess by that symbol kid." Tuffnut said pointing to the symbol on the door, it was a Nightfury. "Wait this was yours?" Zephyr said looking at me.

"Yeah, it has a forge around the side and I think I left a bunch of tails here." I say and proceed to lead them inside. Inside I show them all the tails that I left which I gather up. I then show them my old map of the world which we also take.

When we leave the hut I send them to the ship as I go get the dragon eye. It was hidden in a cave on the side of the volcano. As I get closer to it I see lava starting to come down so I need to Hurry.

Astrid Pov:

As I see Hiccup run off to get the dragon eye I notice the Island start to become unstable. "Guys the Volcano is going to erupt again." I yell as a boulder lands next to me. At that everyone runs and we set off.

At that the kids ask me. "How will he get off the island if we are not here?!" At this I chuckle making them confused. "He has gotten out of worse situations with less. He will be fine, trust me kids." I say and we continue until we are a mile off shore.

Here we all stand watching the island be destroyed by the volcano. "Astrid the cave he went into earlier is about to be covered up!" Fishlegs yells. "Do you see him?!" I ask.

"NO no— Wait I see him he is running to the edge of the cave. He is going to jump out but where is his suit?" Fish legs asks me. "Have you already forgotten, he does not need his suit to fly. Remember on berk about the dragon thing." I respond.

At this everyone sigs remembering that me and him can turn into dragons. He ends up arriving on the ship a few minutes later. "An you guys thought I wouldn't make it, didn't you." He says cheekily.

He then proceeds to tell the kids about the Dragon eye and its wonderful powers and possibility's. Now the next island that we are going to we have not been to since Hannah and before that when we were Valkyrie and Ryder.
