Chapter 25: Visitor from the Ministry.

The Leaky Cauldron.

A man wearing black clothes entered the pub, he walked towards a corner seat where a Middle aged Lady was sitting. She had very fair skin color, even though being above 30 she looked as if she was in her teen days.

The man sat next to her, "The incident in Hogwarts is very unsettling how did the trolls entered Hogwarts? What is Dumbledore doing? We can't let this go on."

The lady looked at the man with her beautiful black eyes but her eyes showed anger, "I had already told 'Him' that we shouldn't trust Dumbledore with the boy. I even had to send in few elves of my own to monitor the kid, those pesky kids of the nobles had the elves call him a 'Mud blood'."

The man looked mad, "They did what? And 'HE' is allowing this to happen." He held his fist tightly.

"'HE' thinks that it's not the right time yet, anyway did you bring what I wanted you to bring." Said the lady.

"Yes I did bring it, but what are you planning to do. Don't tell me you are going to Hogwarts to meet him. What if Dumbledore finds out your identity? We have already risked it once Snape had nearly found out about our existence. I can't let you take such a risk." The man in black clothes was worried.

"Dumbledore won't find out about anything, even 'HE' wouldn't question my decision, I just want to see the kid. The last time I saw him he was just a baby. I want to see how much he has grown."

The man was skeptical about her decision, "As you wish but keep in mind not to let your identity be found out. You can't make even a single mistake."

"Don't worry I won't make any mistakes." The lady answered.

The Hogwarts Castle.

Preparations for the Quidditch Matches were going on, the first match was going to be Hufflepuff against Ravenclaw. Because of this Cedric was totally busy practicing with his team for the match.

Michael and Liam were sitting together reading some books in the library.

"Who do you think will win the match Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw?" asked Michael.

"How would I know? Maybe Hufflepuff will win. I went to see Cedric while he was practicing and looking at their skills they seem more likely to win but who knows what will happen the Ravenclaw seeker is very fast he has bought the new Nimbus 2000. There is a possibility that he may catch the snitch. Why did you ask this question suddenly?"

Michael leaned in and said in a low voice, "The Weasly twin hold a gambling event every year even some of the professors gamble on the Quidditch matches. The pool of money is very great, so I was also thinking of trying out my luck."

"Gambling"

"Ishshhhh!... Quietly we can't afford to let the deans know of this." Michael warned Liam.

A prefect started walking towards Liam and Michael.

"WE'RE SCREWED… Did he hear us?"

The prefect asked, "Liam, Professor Snape Has called you in his office Go quickly or he will be angry."

Michael was relieved that the prefect hadn't heard about the gambling, but he had a different worry now. Why did professor Snape call Liam?

"What do you think he called you for?"

"I will know in a minute, I will tell you after I return. Please put those book back for me." Said Liam while leaving.

"Will Do!" replied Michael looking at the leaving Liam, "Why am I getting very bad vibes from this."

Liam reached Snape's office, Snape was sitting with a man wearing very formal clothes. 'Who is this?'

"Professor you called me" Liam said as he reached Snape's room.

The man looked at Liam with a big smile, "So this is the brave young man I heard so much about."

Snape replied, "Yes he is Liam Gremory."

"Mr. Gremory, come in don't just wait at the door." Said the man sitting with Snape.

Snape introduced Him to Liam, "Liam this is Mr. Lewis Burton he is an official from the ministry of magic. He was sent here to investigate the troll incident."

'The troll incident? But that happened weeks ago, I know that they use owls for communication but even owls can't be this slow.'

"Professor if I may ask, I don't understand why I was called here. Is this an interrogation?" Liam asked.

"NO NO No! This isn't an interrogation, I know it wasn't a fault of a young wizard like you. The troll incident was the negligence of the Hogwarts staff so you won't be held accountable for anything instead the ministry has decided to issue a reward to you for defeating troll." said Mr. Burton hastily.

Liam was very pleased as he heard the word 'Reward' but he controlled his emotions.

Snape was very suspicious of the ministry, "The ministry is issuing a reward? This is something new. Does Dumbledore know about it?"

Burton looked at Snape, "He will be sent a letter by the Minister himself."

"Liam you go back, I want to have a chat with Mr. Burton." Snape said in a decisive manner.

"Wait a minute, I heard that there is a Quidditch match today. I wouldn't want to miss out on this opportunity. Mr. Gremory can show me around the Hogwarts castle as well. It has been years since I last came here I want to see the castle."
