Halo:Fan-Fiction

[System Booting] [...] [Welcome Back Noble Six] ___________________________________________ I do not own any Halo content nor I own content from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This fan-fic will contain elements from Kotor. Edit: I have decided to go into the Star Wars universe a bit and then dive back into Halo. So I take back my previous description.

Discover the Reason

"Welcome to the security room," Emile said as they walked into a room filled with camera TVs and closets.

"Can you lock the door or do we need to barricade it?" asked Six as he was looking at TVs.

"Yeah, I can just give me a second," responded Emile.

[Notification: Party Member Emile-A239 has activated "Security Lock"]

'Did Emile activate a skill?'

[Responding: Party Member Emile-A239 did not activate a skill, he activated an ability that all people have.]

'What abilities do all people have?'

[Answering:

Computer Use

Demolitions

Stealth

Awareness

Persuade

Repair

Security

Treat Injury]

'Can these abilities get stronger? or do they stay the same?'

[Answering: Abilities scale with attributes however they can also be increased with use. Example: your stealth is stronger than your repair due to your recent use of stealth.]

'So what's the difference between skills and abilities?'

[Replying: Skills are able to be performed during a battle that can be both active and passive. You currently have "Power Shot" and "Party Revive". Everyone has abilities, most are for before battle and after a battle but not during a battle.]

'Alright so can Emile use skills?'

[Replying: Yes, however, he can only learn 3 and advance those three. You can learn unlimited skills as you are the host. Emile can only receive these benefits because he is in your party.]

"Alright, so the door is locked. Now explain how I'm alive and why I "Activated Security Lock". There are things on my interface that are not part of my visor. So explain," said Emile interrupting Six's mental conversation.

"After I died I received a system. I don't really know what the system is entirely however it allows me to surpass my natural limits and gave me the ability to revive our squad. Your just the first member to be revived." stated Six.

"So we get our squad back and get off this rock? We know approximately where Carter is and Kat but what about Jorge and Jun? This party thing on the side of my interface doesn't even show Jun."

"Yep, that's it. As for Jorge, I think Kat could help us with that and for Jun I don't really know. It said he was a previous member so I'm assuming he's still alive. He might not even be on Reach anymore."

"Let's get 'em back but before that, we need food and water. I know there's a cafeteria here but I have no idea where it's at."

Then Emile and Six began planning for their scavenging. First, they would search this room. Checking the closets they found a shotgun, a DMR, an Assualt Rifle and the ammo that corresponds with the guns. Next, they would scout for the cafeteria on the security cameras and hopefully, the cameras wouldn't be damaged.

"Xar there's nothing here again except for bodies. These grunts killed themselves with a plasma grenade and this Elite committed suicide," stated the Grunt.

"It's too convenient. Why would an Elite kill himself after our victorious win?" asked Xar' Wattin.

"He had to have committed suicide. The bullet hole is too small to have broken through his shield. No elite turns off his shields," responded the same Grunt.

Xar's comlink then went off.

*RING*

"Commander! What is it that you request of us, sir?" asked Xar' Wattin as formally as possible.

"I need you back. Were holding off glassing the planet because the higher-ups got wind of a forerunner artifact that could be on the surface. We need all the hands we can get searching for it. Everyone's getting pulled except the recovery teams." told the Commander.

"Alright, I'm on my way to the phantom," said Xar' Wattin as he hung up.

"You heard him. Let's go grunts," commanded Xar' Wattin.

"So I can learn skills too?" asked Emile while they were sneaking around to the cafeteria.

"It's what the system says. Let's figure it out after we get our supplies." responded Six.

Six and Emile had found the cafeteria through the cameras and some luck. On their way there they saw covenant soldiers retreating back to there phantoms.

[Notification: Host has been given the mission "Discover the Reason"

Mission Requirements: Find out why the covenant is leaving.

Do you accept?]

'Yes, I accept.'

"I just got a mission to find out why the covenant is leaving. Do you think they are glassing the planet? " questioned Six.

"No, something happened. The grunts would be in a panic if they were. Were at the cafeteria now so focus on grabbing food and loading into a bag." said Emile.

As they were shoving containers of food and water into their bags they heard a chair scrape against the floor in the dark. Immediately they pulled out their gun and pointed it in the direction of the sound.

"HOLD! please hold! Just a friendly ODST here." spoke an ODST who emerged from the shadows with his hands in the air.

"I thought everyone left on the pillar," stated Six while lowering his gun along with Emile.

"Most everyone did. I was assigned to get a small group of civilians here with my squad onto the pillar. We didn't make it in time." stated the ODST.

"So why are you here?" asked Emile.

"Well, the civilians gotta eat too." responded the ODST.

"True, where are you guys located?" asked Six.

"We are about 10 miles north of the shipyard hiding in the canyons. Are you guys coming back with me? We could sure use the help," requested the ODST.

"We've got to find our captain first and then we'll head towards your group," said Emile before Six could respond.

"I guess I'll see you two soon. Though I doubt anyone could survive alone out here." said the ODST while he started to pick up supplies for his group.

"Spartans never die," said Emile.

"They're just missing in action," finished Six.

More of an information chapter this time. Don't worry action will occur in the next. I didn't really want to end this chapter this way but if I added the next bit I would feel like I needed to elaborate more which I didn't want to do. Anyways thanks for reading! I'm still surprised by the number of people reading this. Tomorrow I will be releasing 3 chapters because I will not be home Saturday and Sunday. You can contact me at ThePolarRain62@gmail.com. Again thanks!
