The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.
As the flow of fire began to die down, the Kaiju's charred muzzle was visible, billowing with black smoke. The eyes and the open mouth were burnt, there was nothing alive left. Slowly the Kaiju began to fall to the ground. His muzzle separated from Gamera's hands with a sound. They were soldered with flame.
Boom!
The dead body fell to the ground, declaring the winner of this intense battle. The one who was supposed to die survived, and the one who was supposed to continue destroying died. Silence reigned as everyone watched this epic scene. News helicopters and military vehicles, survivors on the streets of the city, and soldiers trying to do their duty to protect the population, watched as their fear fell dead before them. It was a whole day of struggle and suffering. They shed tears for the dead before their eyes, and all day they fled from the same participation. The feeling of despair and powerlessness has not left them until now.
The first supernatural creature they saw on television not long ago was standing on the shore of the city, beaten and covered in blue and red blood. He stood there looking at the corpse of his enemy. He didn't make any sounds, didn't put his foot on the dead man and didn't roar at the sky. He just stood and watched.
After some time, Gamera staggered. His head was ringing, he went deaf and stopped hearing everything except the bell. Darkness began to creep into his eyes. After taking a few steps, he completely lost control of his body. His carapace was cracked and his head was smashed. His arms became limp and weak, and he could no longer stand. He slowly descended to the shore and slipped into the water. His consciousness vanished into darkness, leaving nothing, no labor or worry, no thoughts. The fight is over.
POV: Military headquarters
In the headquarters, people sat with tired and pale faces. They were relieved that this nightmare was finally over. Thoughts and worries filled the room, but everyone knew that this could only be the beginning of trouble.
After a while, the chief general asked those present for their opinions and began to discuss all the information gathered. Everyone pored over the reports, testimony, and analysis, trying to find any weak points in the Kaiju attack. However, no one could find the exact reason why this unknown creature attacked the city. The Kaiju seemed to appear out of nowhere, and this created an additional sense of fear and uncertainty.
"Is this an attack by another country? Some kind of bio-weapon?" - asked one of those present. "But we saw a giant turtle appear. It climbed out of the mountain, and judging by our research, it has been sleeping there for a very long time. It's hard to imagine that this could be the result of some unknown terrorist organization or country!"
Realizing the need for additional information, the general issues an order to contact partners in the Pacific region to collect additional data and analyze the situation. Liaison with marine research organizations, scientists, and experts becomes an important step in unraveling the mysterious origins of the Kaiju and possible strategies for its further destruction.
Scientists who were present at the headquarters entered the dialogue. One of them drew attention to something unusual in the physiology of the Kaiju and the giant turtle. He talked about his observations. "These creatures have blood of different colors! In the Kaiju, we found blue blood, while the giant turtle had red blood," said the scientist. This new information caused surprise and bewilderment among those present. Everyone immediately understood the importance of this discovery and that it could be crucial to understanding and fighting the Kaiju.
At that moment, a messenger burst into the room, almost out of breath from running. Everyone in the headquarters turned to him, surprised by his unexpected entrance.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I have extremely important news! The giant turtle is still alive!"
"What?!" Everyone present was surprised.
"That's right, General! We have received word again from our scientists at the scene. They reported that the big turtle had a beating heart!"
Silence prevailed in the room. People had complex expressions on their faces. They had just survived the terror of a monster, and now it turns out that another monster is still alive. Although they had no conflicts with the giant turtle, its motives were also unknown. If he is left alive, who can guarantee that he will not attack the city? There was already an example when he tried to get to San Diego. Then he was chased away by ships, but what if the ships weren't there? Would he not cause the same havoc?
"It is not known how much longer it would take us to destroy that creature. We must accept the fact that the large turtle actually killed it on its own, saving many lives in the process," the general told his advisers. "I want to know if we keep he alive or finish him off?"
