Chapter 16: A day together.

" Calcel ? " Alyssa had called.

" Ah..." He said looking a little startled.

" I brought your breakfast. Have some before you leave. " She said.

" Oh , Thanks " He sitting down at the edge of the bed.

" I took your clothes for dry cleaning so they will bring them back soon. "

" Thanks for that. " He said again.

Alyssa looked a little puzzled and turned her gaze at him.

" You've been telling me thanks since I came. Don't you have other words to say ? " She asked putting him in daze.

" Was I saying so ? What else do you want me to say ? " He asked.

" You saved my life and besides that we are friends. At least tell me something about you . " Alyssa attered out.

' Since when did we become friends ? ' Calcel asked himself innery before he said.

" There's nothing much about me. " He said.

" Really , Maybe you are not like me. " She said.

" Like how ? " He asked

" You know i am famous so there's always a lot to tell people. Don't tell me you you've never heard of me. " She wondered.

" How would I know you yet I wasn't in the country for sometime ? " Calcel said .

He didn't know why he found himself being free with this girl and starting to tell her some of his history.

" Now I get it. But I am not that famous , It's just because I won the acting awards of this year. " She said and then turned to look straight into his eyes.

" I have nothing to do today. Do you mind having a walk with me ? " She found herself asking this and realising she was asking a man to walk out with her.

" Ah...I ..I mean we can move around the hospital as you get some fresh air. " She said stuttering trying to change the topic.

" Of course. I would also like to move around. " Calcel said . He was done eating the breakfast so he got up and walked to the door.

" Aren't we going ? " He asked Alyssa who was sitted.

" Sure ! " She said.

" So Mr Calcel , What do you do ? " Alyssa asked while they walked out slowly.

Calcel had his hands in the pockets while Alyssa had hers folded across her chest .

" I just work in some company.." Calcel answered. He didn't want to tell her that he was a full CEO of a big company.

" Hmmm I think it must be paying. " Alyssa commented.

" Why do you think so ? "

" Because you look like someone from a luxurious family. "

" Oh really ? "

" Ya..You look elegant and you don't like talking a lot. I even thought that you would never talk to me. " Alyssa said and stole a glance from him to notice he had smiled.

" I know ! " He concluded.

Alyssa stopped walking and stood still making him stop too and turned to look at her.

" What is it ? " He asked looking straight into her face.

" Why do you think that you know everything about yourself ? " Alyssa argued eyes gawking at him.

" Because that's me. " Calcel said in a husky voice.

Suddenly , A small leave from the tree they were standing under fell on Alyssa's head but she didn't notice it. Calcel moved closer to her making her heart skip a beat. He raised him arm as if wanting to touch her face when Alyssa moved a little back.

" What is it ? " She asked looking down a little embarrassed.

" Stay still ! " Calcel said and moved his hands to her hair when he picked the leaf for from her hair and showed it to her.

" It was on your head . " He said and then turned to walk throwing the small leaf away

Alyssa smiled before she followed behind him.

" Calcel ? Let's sit here ! " Alyssa called and said pointing at the wooden chair that was under the same trees.

Calcel listened and went to sit besides her. She didn't say anything but stared at the kids who were playing from the playground as she smiled.

" Do you love kids that much ? " Calcel asked when he realized it had been sometime since she had been staring at them.

" I just remembered how I used to play with my father some years ago. Whenever we finished playing , He would play me a guitar while I sang. From the then I promised him that I would work hard to become the best musician and actress but unfortunately he left before I had reached anything. " Alyssa narrated her face turning sad and sadder as she explained.

" Though he was gone , When I became the best actress , I was so happy that he would at least be proud of me wherever he was. After then I have been living happily with my mother and I've really enjoyed every moment of it. " Alyssa continued as her eyes turned red and tearly.

Calcel heard her solemn voice and decided to look at her to find she was already tearing.

" It's not as if something wrong is going to happen , So no need to cry. " Calcel said trying to comfort her.

Alyssa turned to look at him still having tears in her eyes and smiled. " You are right , But I really wish that my dad was still there. Maybe things wouldn't have gone the way they are going to be. " Alyssa cried out.

Calcel didn't know much about her and why she was saying this but he felt pitiful for her. He decided to hold her shoulder and patted it saying.

" It's not your fault that your father is gone. But am sure he's proud of you just like any other father would be to a daughter like you. " Calcel said.

" I just hope so ! " Alyssa said and

turned to look at Calcel when he raised his hand and helped her dry the tears with his own thumb. They looked at each other for sometime when Alyssa got up from the chair.

" I guess we must go back now ! " Alyssa said

Calcel nodded and got up from the seat. They walked back inside the hospital no one saying anything to each other.

" I guess all the medication is done so I will drop you to your house . " Alyssa said when they were in the room.

" No need for that. I already called my driver to pick me.." Calcel said.

" Oh , That's good then. " Alyssa said with a smile.
