Chapter 15: Meeting Again ( 3 )

She came back with a glass of water and some pills .

" The doctor asked me to give you this as soon as you are awake. " She said giving him the glass as she sat at the edge of the bed still holding the pills in her hands .

Calcel said nothing and took a sip of the water which after he got the pills and swallowed them down.

" How are you feeling now ? " Alyssa asked with a smile.

" Much better . " Calcel finally replied.

" Oh that's good. I never thought that I would meet you again. " She said still smiling.

Calcel again kept silent. Alyssa didn't know why this person was behaving like this but she concluded that maybe he was shy or not used to having friends.

" Am Alyssa , May I know your name please ? " She said stretching out her arm such that Calcel would shake a hand with her.

He looked at her hand for sometime before he finally gave in his and said.

" Am Calcel .. " He declared.

The name sounded familiar to Alyssa but she didn't mind about that. She smiled that he was finally replying to her questions and said. " It's such a nice name. "

" I know . " Calcel said.

" You must be hungry now..I will get you something to eat. " She said and got up to leave the room.

The pain from his wound has reduced and he was glad about it. He had been refusing to go to the hospital because he didn't want to worry his father most especially not to ruin his wedding day and all the plans. He was surveying the room when Alyssa returned holding a tray of food. She put the food on the bed side and sat the edge of the bed again.

" This is all I could get. Hope you will like it. " She said opening the dishes .

Calcel was indeed so hungry , He got the fork such that he would start eating . Alyssa watched him with a smile but her gaze was making Calcel uncomfortable somehow.

He stole a glimpses at her looking a bit shy when he suddenly asked.

" Why are you looking at me like that ? "

His question amused Alyssa but she was bold enough to say.

" Because You are so handsome ! " She declared simply making Calcel chuckle that she realized what she had said.

" Ah....ah..I mean .....you look handsome when eating like this.." Alyssa stammered ashamed of what she just said.

Calcel chuckled again .." I know that .." He said.

" Knowing what ? " Alyssa asked widening her eyes.

" I am handsome ! " Calcel said smiling at her for the first time.

Alyssa felt a little ashamed again and bit her lower lip as Calcel continued eating his food.

She watched him till he completed his food . She was glad that at least had been able to speak back to her.

She was still like this when her phone rung again and this time it was her mother .

" Mother , What is it ? " She asked .

" You ...Why aren't you home yet ? " Gladys asked.

" Mom , My friend is in hospital so I will not come back tonight. " Gladys said.

" Oh sorry. When did that happen ? "

" Today's evening. " Alyssa said.

" Didn't that affect your wedding preparations ? " Gladys asked.

" Of course not Mom. " She said.

" Okay ..I will hung up now. " Gladys said and ended the call.

" Okay Mom. Love you "

" Love you too. " Alyssa said and ended the call.

" You can go home , I will take care of myself. " Calcel said .

Alyssa turned back to him. " Am not going anywhere . " She muttered.

" Isn't your mother waiting for you ? " He asked.

" I already told her that am staying here. I won't leave unless you get well. " Alyssa promised.

Calcel just looked at her again surprised.

" I will sleep on the sofa , Please have some rest. " Alyssa said and went to sleep in the sofa .

Calcel watched her before he slept back inside the bed. He knew Alyssa was going through all this because he had saved her life and expected nothing more. He closed his eyes slowly and slept off .

David woke up by his alarm clock and refreshed before going to the dinning table. To his surprise ,Only his table and Clere's had been served.

" Where is Calcel ? " He asked Jenny.

" Sir , He didn't return home yesterday. " Jenny said.

" Did he inform you or anything like that ? "

" Not really . I tried calling his phone but he's not recieving. "

" Oh..let me just hope that he's fine. "

" Sir , I will go get Clere up . " Jenny offered.

" No , Leave her to rest. She's been tired from the flight. " He said.

" Okay sir , I will do so. "

At the hospital

Calcel got up that morning but to his surprise , Alyssa was no where to be seen.

' Maybe she got exhausted of taking care of me. ' He thought and got up from the bed. He had been able to gather some strength after the wound operation. He had been given a VIP room so almost everything that he needed was there.

He was about to go to the washroom when he noticed a sticky note that had been put on the table.

' Mr Calcel , I have gone home to change and prepare breakfast for you . If you need anything to change , I put some clothes inside the drawer and anything of use. Hope I will find you when am back. ' The note said.

After reading it , Calcel smiled and checked in the drawer to find that everything was there. He got a towel and some clothes before heading to the washroom.

After the shower he got dressed in a white sweater shirt and black cargo trouser that he had found. He then got his phone and rung his secretary.

" Hello Secretary May ? " He said.

" Boss , Good morning.." May said.

" Good morning. How's work ? "

" It's going on well. Why didn't you come ? " May asked.

" You know it's my father's wedding tomorrow so I think I may not make it today. If there's any important meeting , Cancel them . " He said.

" Okay sir. I understand. " She said.

" Fine , I will hung up now. " He said.

" Have a nice day Mr Calcel. "

" You too. "

He was done with the call Alyssa entered the room. She had changed into a black and white dress that was tight on her body bringing out her curves and beautiful body. When Calcel saw her he gulped in admiration.

' Did she wear this dress intentionally to attract me ? ' Calcel thought innery but when Alyssa called him he got the dirty thought out of his mind.
