A conversation I will never remember

It was the first night in the house without Hylia's cat girl body. She was still here, but a spider is not something that you really want to cuddle up with. This did not change Hylia's nature however, and she soon settled down on my chest, right between me breasts. She seemed rather content and soon fell asleep.

I stayed awake for a long time; my mind kept going back to that scene in the cave. Having gone through so much in the last month I really hadn't had much time to think about it at all.

I had been cursed by the demigod of the goblins. That made sense to me, I had slaughtered my whole clan as a goblin. I had actually done some research on this, and it was rather common for gods to curse the members of a race who committed great crimes against their kin.

The blessing from Fenfir even made sense. I had solved a problem for him that aided in his plans for... I had no idea what he had planned.

But what never really made sense to me was the blessing from Eliondra. Why had the Elven goddess taken pity on me? And why had I become a dark elf? That wasn't the normal evolution of goblins.

The problem kept circulating in my mind, preventing me from sleeping. The blessing had eventually been absorbed by the Goddess of War like the rest and became a single blessing, but the question was plaguing me. It was almost as if I was possessed by the question.

I could no longer stand it and carefully equipped my clothing while laying down. Making sure that Hylia was secured and still asleep in my bosom I left our cottage. My destination was the shrine to the Elven goddess.

I had never been there, but with the help of my map I was soon able to find it. Its location was actually not far from where I currently was, and would only take me a few minutes to walk there.

Unlike the shrine to the goddess of war there was no attendant to Eliondra's shrine. There was not even a building. There was only a large statue of an Elven beauty, her left eye had the same sun symbol as my own.

I bowed to the image of Eliondra and then knelt. It was not a halfhearted bow like I did with the goddess of war, rather a full bow, the kind Hylia did to her own goddess.

I had never knelt to anyone of my own accord in my life, but for some reason it had felt natural to bow to Eliondra. I even found it strange that I did not think of her as a goddess, rather the relationship seemed much closer.

I did not pray, I simply knelt and waited. I did not wait long until I felt a presence. It was not the terrifying presence of the goddess of war, nor was it the egotistical presence of the bug god. This presence was warm, like the living embrace of a mother.

Words came out of my mouth in a language I did not know, the words came from the very depths of my soul. My skill [Gift of Tongues] was unable to decipher the words, but I instinctively understood their meaning. "Sister I have come home".

Eliondra thankfully responded in a language I could understand. I instinctively knew that it was a form of elvish that had long since become a dead language. That perhaps her and myself were the only ones who could understand it.

"It has been a long time Brother. You have suffered much ever since the necromancer king stole your divinity. Your sacrifice was not in vain, the world has had many years of peace because of it. Unfortunately, this time the sacrifice will be bigger, something that the world could not possibly bear. It was for this reason I brought you back."

Eliondra sighed and looked off into the distance. "Unfortunately, the necromancer reigns over death and was able to interfere with your reincarnation. He made you the weakest of the intelligent creatures. A being that is still classified as a beast. He gave you that female body as well, but I must say I always thought you would have been better off as a girl. You were always much to pretty to be a boy."

"When I gave you my blessing, I had no idea that you would have taken it so far. That your actions would attract so many of the other gods. But I should have known. You were always so close with the other gods. Your wife was quick to find out about your presence. And you even completed the project with those stupid bunnies you had made with Fenfir."

"But not all the gods are happy to see you return, they all fear what will happen if you manage to regain your divinity. Because of this I had to take action. Only by making you into a dark elf could I protect you from their gaze. Only by making you of such a cursed race could you be free to grow and to love. "

"But because of these very enemies I cannot let you remember this conversation. But I will not let you go without compensation. You are rather attached to that girl on your chest, I will once again interfere with mortal lives, and change the course of her evolution. But what choices she gains will all be up to her, and the actions she herself takes in the battle to come. "

I woke up in the morning well rested. I had no idea when I dozed off. The last thing I remember was when Hylia crawled in between my boobs.
