Chapter 2

Ae-Cha was quite happy when she saw her parents, she had been pampered and cared for by them so she loved her parents, Mommy!, Daddy!, Ae-Cha called her parents as she gave them a big hug, "I've missed you", she said, "We've missed you too" her mom replied. Ara just stood there and watched them, they didn't feel like her parents so she couldn't bring herself to hug them, they didn't even remember Ara as they walked into the living room, pride on their faces.

'Knock, Knock' " Yes, who is it?"," It's a maid sire" the person outside responded, "Come in".

The maid went inside and saw an old man sitting on the big luxurious bed, a younger man sitting by his side, the young maid bowed and greeted him then said "Sir, I came to report that the Lu family has arrived". The old man shook his hand dismissing her "Okay, got it" the old man replied, the young maid bowed once more then turned and left. The old man looked at the younger guy by his side "How am I?" the old man asked indifferently, the younger man sighed and said, "You have less than a year", the older man sighed and said, "Thank you Chan-yeol" the younger man only smiled, the older man stood up and said, "I should greet my in-laws" the younger man stood and followed him outside.

Ae-Cha got her parents to sit, and the maids brought snacks and placed them on the table, Ari walked and awkwardly sat without addressing her parents, Ae-Cha thought it was good that Ari didn't address their parents, they would picture her as a rude, barren witch, thinking of this made Ae-Cha smile, "Mom, dad, I would like to introduce you to my son, she called in a maid who came in with Dal, Dal didn't like greeting adults but his mom promised him candy so he reluctantly greeted his grandparents, Grandma, grandpa, it's nice to meet you, he said respectfully, Ae-Cha's parents smiled as they stared at him, like mother, like son; they thought to themselves, they then looked at Ari for the first time since they arrived, "Have you not conceived?" Ari's mother asked, Ari looked down dejectedly, she did not want her mother to know she was barren, though her mother never loved her Ari didn't want to see the look of disappointment on her face, Ae-Cha quickly said in a low voice, "Mom, dad, Ari is...barren". The whole place was silent as Ae-Cha revealed such huge news, "W-What?!" their mom said hoping she had misheard Ae-Cha but Ae-Cha repeated the same thing. Their mom then turned to Ari, hatred evident in her face, she looked at Ari with such a fierce gaze, "You jinx...!!" she began shouting but was interrupted by the arrival of the Old man, he was the head of the house so she shouldn't be seen cussing in front of him, everyone immediately turned to him, behind him was a well-known doctor famous for his healing, some say he can save a dead man, some believed it, some didn't but the man was a medical genius, he served the Old man for 3 years helping him treat his illness, the Old man would be dead if not for Chan-yeol, and for that he was a very respected member of the household. "Good evening grandfather," Jiho said, his grandfather only nodded in reply, the Old man walked to the biggest seat in the living room and sat, "Aren't you all going to sit?" he asked, that's when the others realized they had still been standing the whole time, they awkwardly sat, they only people that were still standing were Ari and Chan-yeol. "Do we have to tell you to sit down?" Ae-Cha sarcastically asked, though Ari ignored her, Ari was holding her mouth and her eyebrows were furrowed, she looked like something was wrong, Jiho thought she was faking it so he said "Sit down, I won't tell you again" though this time Ari didn't just ignore him she held her stomach as well. Chan-yeol finally looked at her and when he did his eyebrow arched up "This woman" he started "is pregnant" he finally said, another bombshell, everyone turned to look at Ari, she instantly ran out of the room, confusion was written on everyone's faces, wasn't she barren?. Their thoughts were instantly disrupted by Ari's vomiting, even from the living room they could hear it, their expressions instantly changed to disgust, the only ones who did not seem so affected by the situation were Chan-yeol and the Old master. When Ari finally arrived everyone stared at her for a while until the Old master's voice rang "Come here" he ordered, Ari timidly walked towards him. "Chan-yeol, check her pulse" the old master commanded, Chan-yeol nodded then reached over and placed his fingers on her arm, when he did his expression changed for the first time since he entered the living room, his eyebrows furrowed, he lifted his arm and placed in again, this time his mouth slightly opened, everyone stared at his expressions in confusion, what was happening? they all wondered, Chan-yeol then looked at Ari's face, then took a deep breath, he lifted his arm, placed it again, then closed his eyes. He abruptly stood up causing Ari to lose her balance and fall, he stared at her, sweat forming on his forehead, he opened his mouth and closed it trying to speak though no words could come out, he finally took a deep breath, then looked at the Old man and slowly said, this.woman.is.carrying...a girl.
