To die or To titan.

Ayato was starting to gain consciousness, when woke up he saw Mikasa with her two titan slaying blades.

"I'll ask you this again… What are you?" Officer Whilm asked, he had his men surround them.

Ayato stood up and saw he was near the wall, looking all around he saw soldiers pointing their guns and cannons at them.

"I see I bet it's about that time" Ayato stood up, and he looked at Armin.

"I'm human!" Eren yelled, standing beside Mikasa.

"We have a big problem on our hands here," Mikasa said looking at Ayato.

"Yeah I see that" He responded, "If I remember correctly, Armin convinced them to let us go, explaining how we could prove useful to them, something about that doesn't sit well with me".

"Information states that my men saw your friends over there come out of a titan, isn't that true" Whilm said.

"I can't… I can't reason with them, they are too scared to even listen to a word I have to say" Eren thought to himself as he stared at the ground.

"It is well within my rights to throw in any punishment I see fit, you are working with the titans, for all we know you could be working with the armored titan that attacked the other." Officer Whilm shouted.

"With all due respect did they also mention that Eren and Ayato saved their lives, the roar, they can't deny they didn't all feel it if it was like a thousand shock waves were running through our body, that helped us escape with our lives, sir. They are not a threat."

The soldiers mumbled, "Don't listen to them, we never really understood how titans worked, they could be lying to use just to slaughter" He yelled, raising his hands, "Get ready to fire".

"What the hell," Eren yelled.

They had all their cannons aimed at them, "listen, I want you to grab Armin and run, I'll meet up with you with ayato" Mikasa uttered to Eren.

"Are you insane you can't outrun a …"

"FIRE" Officer Whilm ordered, they all fired from different directions.

Mikasa dropped her blade and ran straight for Ayato who steered the commander dead in the eyes and didn't move a muscle.

She hugged him, using her back as a shield, Eren grabbed Armin's collar and pushed him over to Mikasa.

He then immediately ran to the front and bit his hand, out of nowhere Eren turned into the Attack titan, at least partially.

Only the arms and ribs of the titan were formed which was enough to stop the force of the cannons.

Eren was shocked, he had never transformed on his own before, the entire place was filled with smoke Makin it had for each side to see each other.

"They are hiding in the smoke sir," Ava said, as she walked in on the scene.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with the survey corp" Whilm asked, but it was clear that he didn't want her there?

"What do we have here?"Ava asked.

"Two kids turned into Titans" One of the soldiers answered.

"Oh, that's something you don't see every day" She had slim silver hair that fell on her shoulders and a black belt around her thighs with two red bandanas tied on her wrist.

Meanwhile inside the smoke….

"I don't think we have a choice, they are not looking to reason.

Just now, when I transformed, though I don't know how it felt familiar you know, kind of like breathing" Eren spouted as the titan's body started falling apart slowly.

"That's not all, I saw a memory of my father… he told me to head to the seller back home, there's supposed to be the secret of the titans of the wall" Eren stood up and began punching the titans ribs.

"Why dad? Why did you hide something so important, that is just selfish and cruel, damn you..it's me and Ayato they want, I say we run, you guys can…"

"No way, I'm not leaving him, I'm coming along" Mikasa uttered.

"Mikasa! This isn't time to get.."

"Nah she's right, we are not going anywhere" They looked at Ayato and saw the vexing look on his face, even through the smoke his eyes were still on Officer Whilm, "No way we are running from a man who would kill kids to save his skin".

"The smoke is clearing, ready the Cannons' ' Whilm yelled, "Once they are out in the open we blast them...

"Yato " Mikasa tried to stop him.

"You've come to surrender?" As he spots Ayato coming forward.

"Shut the hell up… Surrender? I'd rather die.

You all go on and on about how we soldiers stand as the hope for humanity, and here you are, ready to fire cannons at kids just because you are afraid of something that you don't understand".

*Who are you to lecture me about…

Ayato did the military salute, "My name is Ayato Shinigami, the welder of the Red titan, you have lost all thought of reason.

We pose no threat to humanity and the sooner you see that the better, Do the math, when the Armored titan attacks again, how do you plan to take something like that with a blade." He pointed at the Officer.

"Oh, my" Ava said as she watched.

"I say, fight fire with fire, a titan with titan, if anything we are here to make sure every last titan gets destroyed, but if you are still dead set on wanting to kill us.

Then I have no choice but to follow my survival instinct and defend myself" He moved his hands close to his mouth, showing them that he wasn't joking around.

"Damm way to go Yato" Eren smiled.

Mikasa quickly grabbed her blades and moved to Ayato's side.

"Don't be deceived, he's trying to trick us with his words, Ava?" Officer Whilm turned to Ava only to see her eyes fixated on Ayato, her cheeks had turned beet red.

Armin moved to the front before doing his salute, "I apologized for my friend's misconduct, but he means no harm, what he was trying to say was, What if we used their power to fight against the titans, instead of viewing them as an enemy, we make them our Ally instead."
