System's are just an easy way to implement abilities into One Piece that simply don't exist, I chose not to do so. The MC progresses fast sure but it's no where near plot breaking, it just seems that way because I've implemented quite a few time skips early on. Compare the strength's of certain character's in One Piece pre time skip to the current arc in the manga. In a span of 2 years, they've jumped massive levels.

Weird comparison, if you read the chapter, it's clearly mentioned Shanks was still getting used to losing an entire limb. He didn't even take any damage the entire fight, what's the issue here?

Yep, he's progressing fast but that's largely because of Garp's training and his prior knowledge of Haki. He's been training like a maniac for 9-10 years at the current time in the story. What's crazy is, in just 2 years, Koby went from an errand boy to around Dressrosa Luffy, although he's unlikely to win

Ah thank you. I felt I couldn't leave people hanging on this small arc so I kept pressing new chapter and let my ideas flow through lol. As for Haki, you're correct, it isn't really fleshed out too much by Oda despite it being the coolest ability imo. I'll keep thinking of new techniques and ways the MC can manipulate Haki, ty for the advice

Well, Shanks becomes a Yonko 6 years later after he met Luffy which, miles stronger to what's shown in this chapter. Even then, he just lost his arm and had to adjust his fighting style, clearly restricting him. Still, he didn't bleed once this fight, just slightly tired

True, I'm trying to make it a little more realistic though, personally I would be swearing all the time in my head if I was in danger.

I'm sure people will be wondering if the MC will have a devil fruit or not and honestly I have no clue atm. It's too early imo, and I don't want a MC just blitzing through the OP world with an OP devil fruit. Frankly I think Haki is much more of an exciting ability and will be the main goal for the MC in regards to his strength. I might change my mind though so let me know.
