"Now you see?" she shouted in a tone that was somewhere between annoyance and disappointment. "You can’t outsmart Scrients! They’re the most intelligent beings across the two realms!" "You’re right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a solemn sigh. "I made a mistake. I was arrogant to think a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "...Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I’m not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait! You can’t. I killed them all." --- My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid and pointless scuffle. And in the middle of it, I tripped and smacked my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in… Memories of a different life. Memories of another world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First: I was inside a game I used to play in my past life. Second: I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool, mysterious, tragic kind either! No, I was the worst kind of cliché — a spoiled, insufferable, and arrogant young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. You know the type! The one everyone hates. The one the hero would beat into the ground to show everyone just how strong and righteous he is. Yeah. I was that guy! My fate was to be a stepping stone for the main characters, be manipulated by a Demon Prince, and die a dog's death. And the hero? The hero was the same kid I’d been bullying all this time. The one I just got into a fight with. He was supposed to be the savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And waiting at the end of it all was the final antagonist. The unbeatable nightmare. …The Spirit King. But could I even make it to the end? Could I really survive in a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that had now become my reality? “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could. But I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, altering the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains long before they could become threats — nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected by my actions? Excellent! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me. My survival. My life. My choices. “I’ll live this life with no regrets.” ...But as I soon discovered, fate wasn't so easily changed. And the price of rewriting your destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR

Chapter 1Prelude To Chaos

The world was collapsing into oblivion.

Everything was being devoured by the oppressing darkness of the Spirit Realm… and there was no escape.

Yet, the brave heroes fought on.

It was their fate.

To die fighting.

And die they did.

The War of Heaven's Path was officially lost.

"It… it's impossible," a woman whispered, falling to her knees.

Her azure eyes were slowly losing their luster, and her snowy white hair stuck to her damp, bloodied face.

There was a gaping hole in her chest where her heart should've been, and she was also missing her right arm.

Her radiant golden armor was now shattered, dented, and stained with blood at places. Her once flawless pale skin was marred by bruises and scars.

All around her, the world was on fire, slowly being erased from existence by the black flames of hell.

All her allies lay dead. Her commander was dead, too. The people she loved, her childhood friends, her found family…

Everyone was gone.

Dead.

On this battlefield that was forsaken even by the gods, only she was still alive.

Then, in an instant, someone appeared before her. Too fast for her to notice and too powerful for her to resist.

She looked up, her teeth grinding in helpless rage. She wanted to scream a curse, but the strength had fled her body long ago.

Before her stood a tall man.

…Only he wasn't a man.

His skin was unnaturally white, and two dark crystalline horns jutted from his temples, curving around his skull like some sort of a divine crown.

He donned an armor so dark that it absorbed the very light around him, casting a shadow over all those who dared to step too close to him.

Massive bat-like wings unfurled from his back, their leathery expanse as ghostly white as his skin. Long flaxen hair fell down to his waist, flowing like molten gold.

His eyes, burning like twin incandescent suns with black slit pupils at their center, bore down upon the woman.

He looked like a wrathful god gazing down upon sinners from the heavens.

This was the man… the creature… who had done it.

Done the impossible.

He had defeated humanity. He had crushed the Monarchs. And, most importantly, he had killed all those who were Destined.

He was the Tenth Demon Prince.

The strongest of all the Defiled Ones.

The Bastard Son of the False God.

He was the Herald of Oldest Death.

"It's over. End your pitiful struggle," the creature declared as if issuing like a divine decree. His voice held a powerful authority that compelled anyone listening to him to bow in reverence. "You have lost."

He clenched his fists, and for a moment, he managed to look almost… sorrowful.

"If only you had been a little stronger," he then murmured, his whisper heavy with solemnity.

He spoke in a tone similar to a man who was forced to crush a pestering bug daring to block the path he was walking.

Killing a creature so insignificant should barely warrant his attention.

You wouldn't feel sad for stepping on a colony of ants, would you?

And yet, he felt a twinge of regret for taking so many lives, no matter how trivial.

Pity. That was the emotion. Not sadness, not irritation – he just felt pity.

The woman in front of him finally found the strength to let out a trembling voice. "Tr-Traitor… You damn traitor!"

But the Demon Prince had already lost any interest in her.

He snapped his fingers, and the white-haired warrioress burst into black flames, erased from existence in an instant.

What followed was a long stretch of forlorn silence.

Then…

"...Y-You couldn't live with your own failure, could you?"

All of a sudden, the Tenth Prince heard another voice, weak and frail, as if it belonged to a woman on the brink of death.

He turned sharply and narrowed his eyes in surprise. There was another woman laying a few feet away from him on the ravaged battlefield, half-buried beneath the corpses of her people.

"Someone else survived?" The Demon Prince raised an eyebrow, a mix of shock and curiosity clearly written on his profanely beautiful face.

That woman had long ash-blonde hair that must've looked graceful once. Now it was singed and disheveled.

Buried beneath a mountain of corpses, it was hard to discern her full frame, but she must've been tall and lithe.

Now her body was broken and battered.

Her eyes, a haunting shade of violet, had lost their gleam. Yet, they fixed on the Demon Prince with a strange intensity.

But there was something else… something on her forehead.

…A third eye.

A translucent third eye made of pure spectral energy. It was an ethereal construct capable of gazing beyond the fickle veil of reality.

She was the bearer of the Goddess' Eye.

Ah, now it made sense how she survived.

She was one of the Destined. The last one, in fact.

"...Your past must haunt you," she rasped, her voice strained and exhausted. "And your future is even bleaker. I pity you."

"Pity? Me?" The Demon Prince almost laughed, incredulous. "Have you lost your mind, mortal? I have no idea what you're talking about."

But she ignored him and continued speaking:

"Your quest to become a god… is it not just an empty promise of destiny? You've been deceived and betrayed before. Why then, against better judgment, would you try to trespass into the realm of the Gods?"

The Demon Prince was genuinely perplexed now.

What was she talking about? Had she truly lost her sanity before she could lose her life?

He shook his head, raising his hand to erase her existence with a single snap.

"I see then," she sighed, not even caring about her impending death. "So be it. I will tell you your fate…"

The woman drew a final breath, gathering every ounce of willpower left in her battered body… to divine her last prophecy in a hoarse, grating voice:

"In shadowed womb, a cursed one born, His heart, by vengeance, forever torn.

Bound by a deal, twisted and grim, He walked the paths where stars grew dim.

From realms of sorrow, he sought to flee, Memory lost to Eternity's Sea.

But fate shall draw him back once more, To tread the steps he's walked before.

In nameless guise, he'll play the role, Unknowing of his fractured soul.

And when the threads of fate convene, A choice shall shape the end of dreams.

A Villain's path or a Hero's grace? One soul to conquer time and space.

Once a dark heart, now the world's last breath, To bring eternal rebirth… or endless death."

The Prince was bewildered. Utterly speechless.

Why was this woman prophesying now?

And what did it mean?

She said she'd tell him his fate, but he hadn't asked for it!

He knew the holder of the Goddess' Eye was a sibyl.

A fabled soothsayer.

But was this really the right time to be spouting prophecies? On the edge of death?

And why do all the great seers utter prophecies in a convoluted, nonsensical poetic way?! Why could they just not speak normally?!

In the next instant, the Demon Prince snapped his fingers, and she ceased to exist as well, the black flames leaving not even ashes behind.

"Weird woman," he muttered before flapping his majestic wings and flying away in a blur.

It was over.

The Monarchs were dead, the heroes vanquished, and even the Gods had abandoned this world to hide behind Heaven's Gates.

The One Who Was had won.

Now… it was time to conquer the Kingdom of Gods.

Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Quinlan, a simple office worker finds himself transmigrated to an extremely dangerous fantasy land as a level 1 Commoner with nothing to his name but his wits - and a unique gift that accompanied his teleportation. No one in Thalorind could have predicted that this unassuming arrival would one day rise to the top, redefining the very meaning of the term 'power'... And that he may have achieved said result by joining a criminal organization and clawing his way through its ranks. In the beginning, Quinlan was painfully weak and alone but thanks to his severe trust issues, joining a team was... hard. However, he soon noticed that a lot of people have collars around their necks in this world... People that couldn't exactly betray him. Follow Quinlan's journey as he grows in strength, amasses wealth, fights to the death, and meets lovely ladies. ... Discord: https://discord.gg/bjunEkswQ3 ... After writing over 750 chapters, here’s what you should know: 1. About the beginning: The early chapters are a bit rough. I'm not saying that it's horrible, in fact, I believe the story to be very enjoyable right from chapter 1. But, at the end of the day, this is my first original novel, and I stumbled in some areas, especially with the MC's attitude. He's too reserved and occasionally too "simpy" with the first female lead. However, the MC grows into a confident, powerful, and composed figure. No long-term cringe. He becomes the kind of MC you want to root for. 2. Quinlan’s morality: He’s not a cruel, sadistic villain. Most of the time, he won't even be acting like a real villain, only when pushed to the limit. Meaning he won't torture puppies or civilians for fun while cackling manically. However, he’s greedy, shameless, and opportunistic. If the lives of his loved ones are at stake and he can only save them by burning a city with innocents inside down, he’ll do it. He's ruthless toward strangers when necessary, but doesn't delight in cruelty. 3. Regarding slaves: Yes, Quinlan becomes a slave master. However, he treats all his women—free or enslaved—with care and respect. 4. More than smut: Every love interest has a real story, a real presence. No girl will be left behind. As of Chapter 750, Quinlan has 7 lovers and a few more "in-development" love interests. This is not a "catch them all" story, adding one girl every 20 chapters. I prefer harems made up of girls with richly developed characters over giant harems full of shallow ladies. Quality over Quantity. 5. Balanced storytelling: My aim was to create a work where romance, action, and slice-of-life blend together naturally. There’s high-stakes action, power progression, romantic developments, comedy, and some chill downtime to let both the characters and the readers breathe. 6. Weak-to-Strong Progression: Quinlan will become OP. But he rises slowly, not overnight. His journey will hopefully feel earned. 7. Not every female character listed in the fandom is a love interest: Some women are important to the plot but are not part of the harem or a planned to be, such as his two mothers. 8. No Yuri. No NTR. That's it, thank you for taking your chance on my novel! I'll make a promise to you, showing how much I believe you'll love the novel if you get over the somewhat bumpy beginning! If you read 750 chapters and hate the story even after investing so much time into it, then you may burn me alive!

Ahem! Writing this review to let people know what true peak fiction truly is. It's been so long that I actually carve for the novel chps every day that I can even remember. AND I am glad to say that it was one of my best decisions to follow this novel since it has like 10(?) chps Every second I spent reading this novel was worth it Initially I thought this was going to be one of the copies Of the famous novel IWKTA since I saw a review saying how 'he' likes this novel n wanted to finish it curious I found this novel And O' boy the author proved me wrong with the start. This novel seriously has potential to compete with the peak fictions like Advent and Hade's Son Ahem! anyways enough of my glazing n let's talk about what truly matters • Writing quality is peak. Proper dialogues ✅ correct grammar✅ simple writing n no over description ✅ lengthy chps ✅ Instant five stars no hesitation Not only that but the author also actually knows how to write the transition of internal monologues n quotes appropiriately and doesn't feel forced at all!! • World building is not truly exposed it but the author gives us hints about various family names n places of 'that' realm • Character design is great the backstories of how the character's behave and their relationship with each other. The author is definitely a fan of the Avatar: The last air bender n always drops several hints of that series. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) The introduction of the characters and the interaction that always leads to misunderstandings are hilarious n the mc is actually someone we can relate to and boy it's hilarious when we know it from the perspective of the other characters especially the og mc 😂 • Update stability is improving atleast since it has gone premium ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) good work author Being in the basement we will always support u on this crusade of urs!! The last and the main thing THE STORY OFC!! I really liked the story so far and the latest chps r peak ( goosebumps fr!) It's a shame tho atleast the mc should have punched 'her' face to get revenge on what 'he' did to the mc Anyways More face-slapping will always be welcomed ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Read as of chapter 95/111 A very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this novel for anyone who enjoys the Academy genre and can tolerate a trash protagonist. To be honest, one of the best academy novels on this site if we are talking about writing quality. Especially the characters. The character dialogue quality in this novel is quite high. There's a clear difference in level when it comes to this point. They really resemble much closer to how real people talk. However, not everyone would enjoy this. This is due to the protagonist. And when I say trash, I do not mean weak. Rather his personality is as the title says, is that of a Young Master. So the actions of the protagonist may seriously trigger some readers. He's narcissistic, acts trash, treats people like tools, very arrogant, manipulative, whiny and all. Why would you read this then? Because despite his flaws, he is a very compelling character. He has his reasons of why he became like that, tragic backstory, intelligent, will always aim to win at the end, isn't the most heartless garbage, hilarious young master shenanigans, and at the end of the day he embraces the image of a young master. A character that is obviously the stepping stone for the protagonist. There is also a nice, simple card (power) system, and the author has demonstrated that he can write some intense fight scenes. Ones that span many chapters if the author wishes to do so. Other characters aren't much inferior to our protagonist either. Because of the quality of the work, I'm forced to look at the novel with a bit more critical lens than the usual leniency I give. ------------------------------- SPOILERS for the Author. Some things I felt were inadequate. The whole set up of Noah honestly feels more like a way to justify a self-insertion of a person from reality becoming a game character. While it did do it's job, it feels more on the redundant side. It could've been done much better. Rather you can just remove the idea of something like a past life, and just make him a straight up regressor. But of course, this would mean losing the commercial value of a self-insertion, so it may be fine as it is. Still, it can be executed much better. Regarding Juliana, I just can't seem to fathom how the original Samael was able to tolerate Juliana. Juliana is depicted to be basically Playing the pig, eating the tiger. Awaiting a day so she can have her revenge. Seemingly able to tolerate much abuse in order to have that perfect moment. That's fine. However, she seems to quip and give a lot of snide remarks to Samael, to quite a large extent. How did a "cold, calculating, demoness" girl like her not get killed for such actions. After all, the original Samael was someone who did not tolerate anyone looking down on him and would go after them relentlessly. All she's doing is asking for a beating and it feels out of character. Sure it can be seen as a stress-reliever, but that doesn't mean Samael himself would tolerate it. If she is a calculating crouching tiger with such tolerance, then I would feel that she wouldn't do anything that would jeopardize her position, Don't get me wrong, Juliana is great as a character and enjoyable to read, but this point really bugs me to the point that I even mentioned it as a comment on one of the chapters. That's my only issue with her and her relationship with Samael. They have great banter. Another issue is being careful with Samael of his portayal. He is still trash, so be mindful not to make him seem appear so good if written in a omniscient perspective. I hope the author understand what I mean by this. Those are the only 3 issues I remember that I was compelled to speak about. Since I read it months ago and only recently picked it up again. -------------------------------- Suggestions/Hope to see Samael and Michael one day becoming actual friends with one another. It would honestly be beautiful. Perhaps even a great genuine relationship. Regarding romance... I am shipping best girl Alexia with Samael. That girl is amazing. She has great energy, and honestly I think someone like her would be able to charm and make Samael happy. They are both ridiculous. The combination between the two when they stir up something can be amazingly comedic and crazy. Just imagining it is exciting! It would also be really cool if there is a moment in the story where she regains her sight, maybe its a temporary thing but it could be very special if done correctly. Even perhaps a future goal to make her character even more compelling. Juliana is also the other best option. Great banter, but personally I would prefer Alexia. Juliana is not much inferior to Alexia, and the complex relationship between Samael and her can make a very compelling love story. However, it would be hard to pull off, especially when it comes to the relationship being believable or not. I would suggest contemplating seriously whether to make her the one who wins. Since I enjoy drama, I would like a love triangle. Harem is a no though. Difficult to pull off to make it believable, especially with your characters. Alexia aside, I can't see it with Juliana. As for Samael, I think he can be open to either single lead or polygamy depending on the direction. Would be more meaningful if it's single lead, considering his tragic life. Perhaps leaning into the direction of someone who wants a genuine relationship, despite being a person who adorns a mask of trickery. And because love is war! Final thoughts: It's a very good academy novel and I highly suggest reading it. It might be my favorite on this site if we are strictly speaking about character dialogue. It is definitely up there with something like Advent of the Three Calamities or Bastard Instructor. Love the work, please keep it up! You honestly deserve more readers, so it's a little surprising you don't have more, but I suppose the young master being too flawed may be the turn off. But conversely, this makes him much more human and a compelling read.

After well over a year since IWKTA's unfortunate 'end,' I finally managed to find the catalyst for catharsis that fills the void left behind. YMPoV (as I decided to call it) is a novel filled with things I can praise to no end, especially after spending an unhealthy amount of time reading the usual claptrap posted on this platform. For starters, the writing quality. Top-class, exactly the way I like it. A novel’s writing quality is, to me, one of the most important qualities it can possess, both in attracting readers and enhancing the reading experience. Going by that, YMPoV has undoubtedly conquered over 90% of the dross this site has to offer. The author has struck that perfect balance of lyrical beauty and raw, real emotion, making every page feel like it’s been carefully crafted while effortlessly flowing. The author has a way of making complex thoughts and moments feel accessible, pulling you into the story without it feeling heavy or overworked. But honestly, what really won me over were the characters. The interactions between them are so rich and real, it feels like you're eavesdropping on genuine conversations. There’s a natural flow between them that makes you believe in their relationships from the very start. Whether it’s the banter, the not-so-subtle tension, or the deep moments of understanding, the chemistry between the characters is what truly drives the heart of this book. Samael, as the main character, is absolutely rocking his role. Why? Well, mostly because he reminds me a bit too much of Kirito from SAO (Abridged), and any character written even remotely close to that guy will automatically be better than most of the 'very original' main characters we see in novels these days. (And yes, I did notice the very obvious reuse of jokes from SAOA, not that I am complaining—those are too good not to be used.) The side characters are no slouches either. While not nearly as dashing as our narcissistic protagonist, they still hold their own charms. The story development so far has been slow, yet smooth. Web novels are oversaturated with fast-paced stories that put zero effort into plot (largely due to the majority of the reader base wanting wish-fulfillment power fantasies rather than actual stories), which is why I appreciate a novel that takes things at its own pace. Nearly 140 chapters in, and only a few arcs have passed. Seems slow? On paper, yes. But the experience I had reading it was entirely different. Each chapter is filled with content that keeps you on the edge of your seat while perfectly managing to build tension and deepen character development. It’s not about rushing from one plot point to the next; it’s about savoring every moment and allowing the story to breathe. The slow pacing lets the author explore the nuances of each interaction, the subtle shifts in the characters’ emotions, and the gradual unraveling of the world around them. Even though the arcs take their time, every chapter feels essential, like it’s contributing to a bigger picture that will eventually pay off in ways you didn’t expect. The world-building and power system of the novel are yet another aspect I can appreciate. While it still follows the 'portals opened and monsters came out' trend, YMPoV builds on this concept and develops its own rules. The power system, most of all, has its own twists that make it all the more interesting. Without spoiling much, the versatility and elements like being able to 'break' an opponent’s ability (by breaking their cards) add more variables to the fights. Speaking of fights, I have to say that while fight scenes in novels usually bore me, making me skim through them, I found myself not doing this as much in this novel. I suppose that’s another plus point I can give. As for update stability, I can't really comment much, as I only caught up recently. But it doesn’t seem bad either. One thing I never understood, however, is all the Juli-glaze the readers have going on. I mean, I’m all for crazies, but she hasn't really done much in the novel, objectively speaking. As much as I want to like her, Alexia has had much better interactions with the MC so far. But when it comes to ships, I always seem to support the loser for some reason. So, as tradition dictates, I support Vereshia, the Cadet Council President.

One of the most entertaining novels on this website, the story is basically about the MC regaining his past memories and realizing he is now a third-rate villain in game. Well, do you think the MC changes after remembering his past life? Nope, he's still a lovable asshole. The only difference is that now he uses his brain instead of relying solely on his power. One of the refreshing aspects of this story is that the original male protagonist is not boring like in other novels with similar clichés. Though he is just as much of a justice-obsessed idiot as in other novels, at least I enjoy his interactions with the MC and other characters. The MC and the protagonist are always arguing with each other. For a moment, I thought I was reading a BL novel, but then I remembered that the original protagonist already has a girlfriend. If this were a Japanese novel, there would be fujoshi trying to ship the MC and the protagonist. Oh yes, his girlfriend is the MC's ex-girlfriend. Because the MC is so tsundere, he never admits that he regrets her leaving him and that he loved her in the past. Yeah, I can see the author will have challenges making the MC fall in love with someone. The only candidate I can think of is Alexia, his teammate, because she is the type of person who will pursue someone if she fall in love. But that depends on whether the author wants to make her fall in love with the MC. Although I love his interactions with his maid, I still don't think she is the type to fall in love with someone. She's an ex-noble tactical kuudere who was forced into servitude as a maid when her family was destroyed by the MC's family. That's why she plans to kill the MC and his family for revenge. So, you can expect how the MC tries to outmaneuver all her plans. That will make for an interesting story. I think this novel will take hundreds of chapters, I still think the author need develops other characters carefully and hopefully the author builds the story without rushing.

I'm at chapter 98 and I'm gonna write a review now. The story is great overall. The author is also good at playing the feelings of readers. A player, manipulator, just like Samael! The pacing is a bit slow though it's NOT a bad thing but because the build ups of everything (e.g. fights) are that worth it, just like you're eating food at a fine dining restaurant and not at fast food. The author just really cook well. And, obviously because we're only at the early stages of the story. Main Character — 4.5/5. Why? Because he's NOT a beta MC who is afraid of making changes in the story! He's NOT a simp but only to his own face! He's a player NOT a chess piece! I love that he's NOT unreasonably too overpowered nor too weak. He's also a flawed character... but that's alright, it's understandable because of his past, two pasts even! Like the author stated, he's an anti-hero NOT a villain NOR a righteous MC. I'm just waiting for his character development where he would open up more to others, especially to Alexia and Juliana (can't wait for her arc). Side Characters — 4/5. Most of them are not one-dimensional. You can empathize why they did that or why they said that. They're hypocrites and can be annoying now, but I can see a lot of potential growth there. For me, Lily is like Cassie from SS or Rachel from TOG. I admit they're great characters, well-written even. BUT I F*CKING HATE THEM PERSONALLY UGHHHHH (do you get me???) For now, it's great and will add it to my new favorites. But I'm gonna wait for more chapters to say it's peak because several novels I have read fell down bit by bit after 250+ or even 600+ chapters. Anyway, I almost lost my hope for the recent academy novels (like harems) but thanks to this novel, it's back again.
