Lilianne is an example of a well-crafted childhood friend character who struggles with possessiveness toward Aiden, the original protagonist, due to her introverted, shy, and poor communication skills. However, she is not a yandere. She tries to improve herself by talking to strangers, thanks to Luca’s support, but still struggles to make friends beyond him. Honestly, I ship Luca with Lilianne. I feel Aiden is never there for her. Personally, I don’t like Aurelia as the main heroine. From a storytelling perspective, their romantic development feels too easy, more like a self-insert story where a beautiful senior suddenly appears and wants Luca as her boyfriend, which isn’t compelling.
If I have any suggestions, it would be to scale down the power. One weakness of an overpowered character is that it overshadows other characters. I enjoyed the interactions between the main MC and their friends, and I hope these don’t get lost due to a plot that focuses on powering up the character. I’m also confused about the power system in the novel. Like, how much impact does their strength have? In one chapter, Ethan breaks through and defeats all his seniors. Then, shortly after, he’s defeated by someone else.
If the author makes the MC actually the child of the duke's daughter (Evangeline's grandfather) who was exiled for marrying a commoner, I will tolerate this cliché 'MC who seems like a commoner but is actually the duke's grandchild.' As long as the MC ends up with Evangeline, which means sweet home Alabama.
The only way to make this novel different from others similar to it, is to end by an inc*st ending
Let me predict: with the current flow of the story, Lucas will fall deeply in love with Evelyn and reject Janica. Our dense main character will wonder why they don't end up together, not really realize that he was the one who seduced Lucas. Riley will comfort Janica after her heartbreak. She will then clarify her feelings and reveal that she has had feelings for Riley all this time.
The next day, the author woke up as Penny Prince in the novel he wrote. Can he survive the MC's plan to kill him?
This story is too slow and flat. For many web novels, the first 15-30 chapters are crucial for keeping readers interested enough to continue. That's why it's important to make readers care about your story. But in this case, I don't feel anything at all. Just empty. By the 30th chapter, only the background has been introduced; the MC has been reincarnated as an ordinary villager who sells herbs. The MC wants to be like a protagonist; to be strong but fails. He tries to use his future knowledge but fails as well. At first, I thought the author was aiming for a realistic approach to the isekai genre. But then suddenly, a system is introduced that helps the MC make soap. OMG. I think the author is underestimating the medieval setting. Soap has been known since ancient times, made from ashes and fats, so it's not a new discovery. Yet the author treats it as such, and everyone is surprisingly impressed. The MC then attempts to become rich. After the segment on marketing soap, the story suddenly shifts to a tragedy involving the death of an old man who took care of the MC. Here, the author doesn't even mention the name of this old man character.
If you enjoy a vanilla story with a yandere girlfriend, this novel might be for you. This novel also features an interesting antagonist, Penny Prince. I just hope the author doesn't kill off that character too soon. The novel follows Ren Ross, who possesses an extra character that was killed by her fiancé, Lilith, in the original story. As the third son of a minor noble family, at the beginning of the story, Ren starts training to become stronger. The MC doesn't have a system, which I'm glad for, as it often makes things too easy for the protagonist. The beginning of the story is a bit weak, introducing a power system where some people receive gifts. The MC obtained bloodbinding after a trial. His fiancée has a divine gift that interferes with souls. Due to her lack of emotional control, she can kill people just by touching them, which makes many people afraid of her and leads her to become a villainess. To prevent his own future death and his fiancée from becoming a villainess, the MC begins to rehabilitate her. In the process, his fiancée becomes possessive and obsessed with the MC. The MC is smart and cunning but still makes some mistakes and is almost killed many times by the brilliance of Penny Prince, which keeps the story in suspense. Honestly, Penny Prince is more intriguing as a character than the MC, lol. Perhaps the author should consider focusing more on the villain's story later on.
Edit: I mean Astrid similiar to Sylvia
