After looking at the sand statue for a few more minutes, Xu Yue alongside Ming Yun once again began walking through the city, but after around half an hour of traveling, Xu Yue became bored, as nothing truly entertaining was happening in the city.
As such, just as Xu Yue wanted to leave the city and continue their travels, she suddenly felt a peculiar aura.
Without anyone else noticing, Xu Yue and Ming suddenly appeared behind a small group of several cultivators.
"That place should be much more fun to go into," mumbled Xu Yue as she scanned the memories of each and every cultivator in the group.
And just as silently as she arrived, Xu Yue left the city.
"Follow me," said Xu Yue before beginning to fly in a certain direction as soon as she exited the city.
In merely a few moments, the two traveled had traveled hundreds of Li, and of course, that was with Ming Yun slowing Xu Yue down.
Several minutes after, Xu Yue arrived at an empty part of the desert.
"This place is really barren, no wonder no one ever found it," mumbled Xu Yue as she wondered if the reason the group had found it in the first place was to lead her here.
But even so, Xu Yue was not discouraged, she waved her hand, causing the sand around them to clear, revealing the solid rock below it.
Without hesitating at all, punched a certain part of the rock, and unlike what would have happened naturally, only a single meter of stone was destroyed, the surrounding rock not being damaged at all.
After seeing this, Xu Yue jumped into the hole without any hesitation, and after she and Ming Yun went in, the surroundings suddenly returned to their natural state, the rock reappeared and sand once again covered it.
Looking at the over fifteen cave entrances in front of her, Xu Yue smiled
"Follow me carefully, this place can block spiritual sense," said Xu Yue as she grasped Ming Yun's hand and walked in a particular cave entrance.
With the memories from the group, Xu Yue knew all of the caves in this place with near perfection, as she plundered their decade of exploration without shame.
But as she traveled in the caves, Xu Yue discovered something the group of cultivators had not.
"They didn't realize the direction they were going," thought Xu Yue as a certain idea popped in her mind.
The two of them traveled through the tunnels in total darkness, but as Xu Yue felt the heat around her increase, she was sure of what was happening.
And after a few days of total darkness, Xu Yue finally began seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
Xu Yue shuddered, this was not from fear or excitement, but rather an unwilling reaction of her body, which seemed utterly incompatible with the region it was in.
As she looked at the thick, several li long rivers of pure fire spiritual energy traveling down the cavern, Xu Yue smiled, and after a few moments, walked closer to the ledge of the rock the two of them were standing on.
"So this is why in this city, the heat is not an issue, it's all sent here," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the several hundred thousand li large sea.
Suddenly, Xu Yue turned her head left, her eyes looking at the humongous amount of spiritual energy traveling upwards from the sea, after having all of the heat seemingly left behind inside.
After silently staring at the sea for a few minutes, Xu Yue took out a canvas from her storage ring and began painting.
But even though the scene in front of her was extremely beautiful, Xu Yue felt a small amount of sadness, as she felt that the scene in front of her did not suit her.
As such, even though this was one of her most beautiful paintings, Xu Yue could not call it one of her best.
"A pity that I encountered something so useless to myself," mumbled Xu Yue as she began walking back into the tunnel, this caused Ming Yun to break out of her trance to follow her.
"I really did them a favor by erasing their memories of this place," thought Xu Yue as she felt the dangerous feeling she felt when approaching the sea.
"So this is the reason why nobody bothered to guard this place," mumbled Xu Yue as she felt an aura of death that although huge was hidden behind the huge heat.
"This is not just the cave abode of an Immortal, but rather the place where they ascended, to the higher realm," mumbled Xu Yue as she searched for some information in her mind.
"Immortal Grand Sun, cultivated Dao of the Sun, ascended two billion years ago, this city was formed not long after he became a True Immortal," thought Xu Yue as she realized who the owner of this cave abode was.
Even though she had just discovered the cave abode of a true immortal, Xu Yue did not particularly care, the difference between Mortals and Immortals was emphasized for a reason, maybe when she reached the peak of the Dao Saint realm she would try to go into an Immortal abode, but even so, she would not dare go into this one.
"We first go went and then go inwards," said Xu Yue as she and Ming Yun walked.
"Understood senior sister," said Ming Yun as she slightly bowed, causing Xu Yue to shake her head.
It took the two only half a day for them to exit the cave, and once again returned to the surface.
As Xu Yue arrived back on the surface, she suddenly felt something weird.
"Is there something wrong senior sister?" asked Ming Yun as she halted crafting the paper umbrella in her hands.
"Nothing," mumbled Xu Yue as she slightly looked at the sun from a corner of her eyes.
Hearing this, Ming Yun once again turned her attention to the paper umbrella.
...
"This intuition is really impressive," mumbled a brawny old man with yellow hair.
