Being a hypocrite

The next morning, Mu Yuehan woke up in a very happy and exciting mood. And why not, he finally found her, his first kiss, the girl who was able to make his heart crazy, fuse his mind with her beauty.

"It looks like she doesn't remember my presence in her life. So, what? I will start from scratch. I will make her fall in love with me." He beamed with dedication and stood up from the bed, to start his day.

Mu Yuehan whistled in delight and got ready in a simple dress. He decided that he would pursue Nian Tian as Zhan Wei, not Mu Yuehan. To him, she did not look like a girl to be impressed knowing his real identity.

Moreover, he wanted her to fall for him as a human, not for the name Mu Yuehan.

Once ready, he entered his kitchen. With a wicked smile on his lips, he picked up an empty bowl. He walked out of his apartment and toward the door of his neighbouring apartment.

Like a gentleman, he knocked on the door and ring the bell of his neighbour.

Knock! Knock!

Nian Tian frowned when she heard a knock on her door, followed by the ringing of her doorbell.

"Who can be here at my place?" she thought. It had been a long time since she had some visitor over her doorstep. After a long time, she heard the music of a ringing bell.

She opened the door for the visitor. In the next second, a gasp escaped her lips.

"What the hell are you doing here? And how the hell did you find my address? I must praise your stalking qualities." Nian Tian fumed when she saw Mu Yuehan at her doorsteps.

"Miss, I know you are angry at me. I will ask for forgiveness from you. Now that we are neighbours, coincidently. Can we start again?" Mu Yuehan looked at her with sincerity.

Nian Tian looked at him with wary eyes and then at the bowl in his hand. "What do you want?"

"Oh, I was making coffee when I realise that I don't have sugar. Can you give me some?" Mu Yuehan forwarded his bowl.

"Wait a minute." Nian Tian snatched the bowl and entered her house.

Mu Yuehan grinned victoriously. He was happy to see the flustered expression on her face. He was happy with his decision from the last night.

Yesterday, when he saw her apartment. He called his property agent to purchase the apartment adjustment to that of Nian Tian. To his luck, that apartment was vacant and he was able to buy it within a night.

For the whole night, his guards worked hard to shift his stuff in his new apartment. Nian Tian heard the noise but she did not give any head to it.

"Here, your sugar." Nian Tian came back with a bowl full of sugar and passed it to Mu Yuehan.

"Thank you." Mu Yuehan smiled. Before he could start a conversation with her, Nian Tian slammed the door at his face.

Mu Yuehan chuckled and made his way toward his apartment, only to return with another empty bowl.

Knock! Knock!

"What?" Nian Tian yelled and looked at Mu Yuehan with irritation.

"I just realised; I am also short of coffee. You see…." Before he could complete, Nian Tian snatched the bowl from his hand and entered her apartment.

Mu Yuehan chuckled. He sneakily looked inside the apartment of Nian Tian, feeling impressed with the interior and the wall paintings.

"Here you go."

Instead of giving him a bowl of coffee, Nian Tian passed him a cup of brewed coffee.

"I wanted instant coffee, not…."

"I am sure, next time you were going to knock on my door saying, 'you are short of milk.'" She mocked him. "No need to return the cup."

And with that, the door of the apartment of Nian Tian was once again shut on the face of Mu Yuehan.

Mu Yuehan chuckled and took a huge gulp of his coffee. He was feeling light-hearted after bickering with her like this in the morning.

He never liked coffee with milk or sugar, he preferred dark coffee.

But guess what, he liked this coffee, only because it was made for him by his beautiful neighbour!

Mu Yuehan wanted to follow around Nian Tian for the whole day, till she was ready to be his friend and then-girlfriend, but his attention was diverted by a phone call from his brother.

"Are you free right now? There is a kind of emergency." Mu Yuehan heard the voice of his brother, Mu TianYu, the moment he picked up the call.

"I am free." Mu Yuehan looked at the closed door of the apartment of Nian Tian and made his way inside his apartment. "What happened?"

"There is a guy following Yifei."

Mu Yuehan froze when he heard Mu TianYu. The vein in his neck throbbed, thinking of the little punk who dared to follow his sister.

"Who is he? Do I know him?" Mu Yuehan fired questions with anger in his voice.

"He is the kid from the Han family. You know him."

Mu Yuehan fumed, remembering that boy. He was a classmate with his sister.

"He is visiting at home quite a lot, nowadays, with an excuse of a project. Early in the morning, I caught him presenting flowers to Yifei." Mu TianYu reported. His tone was that of a possessive brother.

"Have you confronted him?" The brain of Mu Yuehan was already running in all directions, how to throw that boy away from the surrounding of his sister.

"What do you think?" Mu TianYu groaned. He crushed a paper in his hand. "He confessed that he loves our sister. He loves her from the time they were in the second standard. God, he was so gross when he confessed to me about his deep feelings for her, how his heart acts like crazy when in her presence…blah…blah…blah…."

Mu Yuehan fumed and punched the nearby wall. "Leave him to me. I will talk with his father. Have you talked with dad?"

"Nah, I decided to call you first."

"Good."

Mu Yuehan ended the call with Mu TianYu and immediately made a call to mister Han. After ending the call, after warning mister Han about the behaviour of his son, he made his way toward the apartment of Nian Taint.

When he was outside her apartment, he realised, wasn't he too acting like that Han kid, following after Nian Tian because his heart acted like crazy in her presence.

'Stop comparing yourself with that Han kid, he is a fool. He is no good for your sister, but you, you will be the best man and husband for Nian Tian.'

He was being a hypocrite, he knew. But he did not care about the same.

Mu Yuehan knocked on the door of her apartment, but to his bad luck, she was already gone. He groaned and decided to pass some time with Zhan Wei before attacking at the hope restaurant.
