YOU KEEP BUMPING INTO ME

Ashley's P.O.V

The school was over and Thia and I left towards the parking lot. Thia's cycle was standing right in front of us.

"Settle down" Thia said after taking her cycle out of the stand.

I sat on the cycle and Thia started to peddle. I directed Thia to my house. We didn't talk at all this whole time. We had nothing to say. Time passed by and we arrived in front of my house. My house was giving a gloomy vibe as always.

"Wait here, Park your cycle" I said to Thia after getting off the cycle.

I entered through the main gate and dad was right there. Why is he always in front of me whenever I enter the house. I was expecting Lisa to be there, standing right next to dad giving me a smirk. But to my surprise, she wasn't there, and Marine. My step-mother was in the kitchen with a grumpy face look.

"Did the had a fight? Well, good for me, OH! Of course, my grandma doesn't like this women, she must have fought with dad for that" I thought as my dad walked towards me holding car keys.

"Here, Go, pick up your grand mother from the airport, Do you want me to come with you?" Dad said while handing over the keys to me

"Why would I need you to stay with me? I can go by myself " I answered while taking the keys.

"Then be careful on your way" Dad said while turning his back

"As if you actually mean it" I scoffed and left

I went to the garage and started the car. I drove outside where Thia was waiting for me.

"Get in" I said to her

She sat inside and I started to drive. Thia took out a pen-drive and plugged it in and started to play songs and sing along to it.

"Do you carry this pen-drive everywhere with you?" I asked her

"Yeah, In case I have a mood to listen some of my favorite songs" she said while laughing

We both laughed and started to sing along to the song.

On the way, I looked out through the window and...Again...I...saw...mom. NO! This can't be true. I suddenly pulled the brake, and thank god that we were wearing seat belts because the brake was so hard that we almost smashed our head on the glass.

We both were breathing heavily

"ASH! What was that?" Thia asked all scared

Without any answer, I removed the seat belt, opened the door, and went where I saw my mom. And again, as always, no one was there.

I sat right there, on the footpath. Thia came to me and sat next to me

"Ash, what happened?" Thia asked

I had no words in my head. Should I tell her the truth? That I am seeing my mom everywhere? No, I can't do that.

"Nothing, Some dust came into my eyes and I got panic and pulled the brake and came here to catch some breathe" I said with a slight smile

"Are you sure?" Thia asked, she looked worried

"Yeah! let's go, we are getting late" I said with a big smile and left for the car

I saw before turning back, that Thia was really, very, very worried. I am sorry Thia, but for now, I can't tell you this.

Thia came back and I started to drive. Thia wasn't playing her music anymore.

"Why don't you play the music?" I asked

"Oh, I don't know, just don't have the mood anymore" She said and started to look outside the window.

I ruined her mood. I kept quiet and after 5 mins we arrived at the airport.

We started to walk inside the airport and were trying to find where my grandma was. While entering the airport, I saw Alan's bike. Is Alan here too? No, so many people have bikes like this, it's not important, it's his.

We kept walking and I took out my phone and called my grandma.

"Hello" I said

"Hii! I arrived to the port, where is your father?" Grandma asked in her sweet, soft, weak and shaking voice.

"Grandma, I am here to pick you up" I told her

"Oh! really? That punk, Why didn't he came, Oh, of course that wench must have stopped her" Grandma said in anger, I chuckled

"Where are you?" I asked her

"I am at gate number 5, my dear" Grandma said

I looked at the gate number we were at, and we were standing at gate number 1.

"Okay, I'll be there, bye,see you" I said and hung the phone up

"Where is she?" Thia asked

"Gate 5" I said

"Oh shoot, That's way too far, I will wait here, you go" she said

"Are you serious?! Come on! It's not even that far away" I said

"It's far for me, I will be here" she said after, sitting on a nearby bench

"Fine, don't wander around, okay?" I said

"I am not a kid, go!go!go!" she said

I started to walk and was finding the gate and suddenly bumped into someone.

"Sorry" Me and that person said together

We looked at each other and OMG! This guy just kept chasing me. It was Alan again!!!

"YOU!!" We said together as we saw each other's faces

"Why do you keep bumping to me?" I asked him in irritation

"I bump into you? are you kidding me? You are the one, are you stalking me ?" Alan said in his cold voice

"I, Stalk you? huh! I would rather stalk a street dog, Look at your face" I said while looking at his face and okay! He does look good

"I mean look at your cloths" I said this time noticing his clothes, he was wearing formal clothes, a total suit, he gave a businessperson look and he was looking pretty good in that too

"LOOK AT YOUR COLD PERSONALITY" I said for the final time

"Oh! Like you are warm as sun" he said

"YOU....JERK" I said

We were staring at each other with anger and suddenly

"MY KID!"My grandma's voice from the side disturbed me

I looked where I heard her voice and she was standing there. Me and Alan were both looking at her. She was holding her stick as always.

Alan and I stopped the verbal fight as we saw my grandma.

I walked to my grandma with a big and joyful smile and hugged her.

"I missed you so much grandma" I said to her

"Me too, my lovely daughter" My grandma said

I took her bags and we started to chat, TOTALLY ignoring Alan, but then

"Who is he? I saw you talking with him earlier, He is pretty good looking though, are you two dating each" Grandma said and I stopped her before she could complete

"NO! He is my classmate and we met by coincidence" I explained to grandma

"There is nothing that happens by coincidence, Its always planned" My grandma said with a weird smile and walked towards Alan

"What does that mean? What was she even thinking?" I thought

I saw that my grandma was laughing and chatting with him and he was replying, WHILE SMILING, are you serious?

Usually, my grandma doesn't get along with people so easily, but today! She must be drunk or something

I walked towards them and said "You 2 get along very well huh? So sad that you 2 must get parted now, grandma dad is waiting for you" I said to them

"Oh! You are right, let's go, Ok son, come to visit us sometimes" My grandma said

"Sure grandma, I will" Alan said

"WAIT! You cannot call my grandma, grandma, okay?!" I said to him

"Grandma said me to call her grandma" he said

"STOP CALLING HER GRANDMA" I said

"Come on! stop being possessive, I told him to do so, son, don't mind my grandchild, lets go now" Grandma said and left

"Don't you ever come to visit, I will kill you with my own hands otherwise" I said to him and left

I was holding Grandma's hand and asked her

"Grandma, why did you allow him to call you grandma?"

"So what? Not now, but in future he will call me grandma, so it would be easy for him in the future" My grandma said

"GRANDMA?! stop saying that, He is just a jerk and will stay a jerk EVEN in the future" I said

"So you mean, you do see him in your future?" Grandma said

"GRANDMA?! I DIDN'T MEAN THAT!!" I said, knowing no way out of it. My grandma chuckled and said,

"Okay,okay, I won't tease you anymore, he is a good guy by the way" Grandma said

"No, he is not" I said

We arrived at the gate and I spotted Thia there at the same bench.

"OH! Is that Thia there?" Grandma asked

"Yeah" I said

My grandma started to chat with Thia standing there and then we sat inside the car and I started to drive once again.

Thia and Grandma were chatting all the way to my home.

As we arrived, I parked and we all got out.

"I would be leaving now" Thia said

"Come on dear! stay here for a while" Grandma said

" no, it's fine, I have some work unfinished, I will come some other day" Thia said

"Very well then, You might also leave, bye my child" My grandma said and we parted our ways with Thia

We entered the gate and Marine(Step mom) and dad were there to welcome us.

"Welcome mom" Father said

"Welcome mother" Marine(Step mom) said

As for my grandma's reply, she said something that mocked Marine and made me laugh.
