Edam Verses Me?

Alan's P.O.V

The day was the same till recess.

It was Math's period and everyone in our class was half asleep and some slept. The bell rang loudly, waking them all up. This time, sir could not say his favorite line. That is- "The bell does not dismiss you, I dismiss you". Since, Ashley had already mocked him for that.

"HEY! ASH, Let's eat, come" Thia with full excitement asked Ashley

"No, I don't have an appetite today, You guys eat without me" Ashley said

"Are you sure" Thia asked and Ashley nodded her head

Something was off, she also spaced out between the class. I wonder if everything is okay. Wait! Why would I care. I don't care about her life or her career.

I walked into the cafeteria with Thia, Chris, Jack, and Sue.

We all sat at the long table. I took out 2 lunch boxes, one for me and one for Chris. Thia took out her lunch box, but, she went and brought the cafeteria lunch. Sue and Jackson also brought the cafeteria .

"Hey, Thia, Why don't you eat your lunch box?" Chris asked Thia

"I don't like the food mom prepare " Thia said.

"Then, can I try it?" He asked

"Umm, okay I guess" Thia agreed and passed the lunch box to Chris

"Oh geez, Its good, Why don't you eat it?" Chris said after the first bite.

"If you like it, You can have it daily," Thia said.

"I would be more than happy" Chris said happily and started to eat the food

I ate my lunch and the one I brought for Chris was still like that; so I decided that I would keep it back.

"By the way, You guys didn't tell me about Ashley's past" Sue asked

"Oh yeah, about that, The recess will be over soon and a lot of people are around here" Thia said while looking towards Rose, who was sitting right beside us hearing each word of our's

We were done eating and suddenly Thia's phone ring

"Who is it?" Sue asked Thia in curiosity

"Oh it's Ash's message" Thia said while looking at her phone

"oh really? what did she say? she wants to eat with us?" Sue asked

"No, her grandma is coming, she just got her dad's call" Thia said with excitement after taking a pause while texting.

"Oh, that's really awesome, lets go and talk to her" Sue said with a big smile on her face

"yeah,she loves her grandma" Thia said.

We were walking up the stairs when suddenly we saw Ashley running down swiftly.

"Hey Ash, you....." Thia was about to say something to Ash but Ash was so quick she didn't even notice us there and continued running down

"What's the matter with her?" Jack(Jackson) asked

"I don't know" Sue said

Thia was still in shock about what had just happened and didn't say anything.

"We should go and check on her" Chris suggested and we all agreed and followed Ash to the ground

As we were there, we saw Ash with a guy. Who is he? I thought to myself

BAM!!

The sound of Ash slapping that guy

"Wow! that was hard, who is he?" Sue asked Thia

"I don't know, I can't see his face clearly, Ashley's head is on the way." Thia said in worry

They both were talking about something, we could not hear them clearly at all.

"Wait!! is he?(gasp)" Thia suddenly said , she covered her mouth and a drop of tear fell from her eyes

"Who the heck is this guy Thia?" I asked her in anger

"Thia? are you okay?" Chris asked and tried to comfort Thia

"He is.....He is Edam, Our childhood friend" Thia said in a shaky voice

"If he is a childhood friend then why did Ash slapped him?" I asked

"Are you sure its him?" I asked

"Yes, I am 100 percent sure, it's been years since we talked" Thia confirmed

"But still, why did she slapped him?" Sue asked the most important question

"That's because of what he did few years back. Ashley still remembers it" Thia said in a mysterious tone

Uhhhh, Thia is killing me. I hate suspense.

We saw Ashley leaving and him grabbing Ashley's hand. This guy is getting on my nerves, how can he just grab somebody's hand like that.

I walked toward that guy and Thia grabbed my arm.

"Don't , Don't go there, it's something none of us can do" Thia said and left with others

I was still standing there. I left after Ashley did. I caught up with others in the canteen. Everyone was sitting there quietly. I sat down with them

"I will ask her about this, If she wants to talk about it, she will definitely talk to me." Thia said, breaking the silence

"But, what if she don't want to talk about it?" Sue asked

"Then, I will not muddle in" Thia said after a 2 sec pause

Thia took a deep sigh and said " Let's go" and got up

All of us were walking towards class and the bell rang.

We entered the class, all of us went to our seats, and Thia stood near Ashley's desk.

"Ash, What's the matter?" Thia asked in a serious tone

Our eyes were on Ashley's reply

"What are you talking about?" Ashley said, and all of us let out a sigh together in frustration.

Thia's eyes were wide open; she looked sad and disappointed. Thia suddenly changed her tone and expression into normal and started a normal conversation.

Teacher entered the class and all of us were sitting quietly . He started to teach us.

The day passed by, and all I was thinking this whole time was, "Who is Edam? and What did he do that Ashley was so angry at him?"

It was the last period and I saw Ashley taking out Thia's lunch box. Is she hungry? But Thia"S lunch box is empty. Because Chris ate it. Dumbo.

She saw that Thia's lunch box was empty and kept her head down on the desk.

What an Idiot. I smiled at myself. I called her and gave her the lunch box I brought for Chris. She took it and started to eat. I saw Rose looking at Ashley and giving an evel smirk. What was she up to this time?

Suddenly, she stood up and told the teacher that Ashley was eating in between classes. What an eyesore she is.{Rose}

Teacher barged in towards Ashley. And asked her to get out if she was hungry and guess what, that reckless person woman took the lunch box and left to get out. GEEZ! She is really troublesome, when teacher asked where she was going with the lunch box she said "You said I can get out if I want to eat, I am getting out so, I am going to eat there".

Everyone laughed and I gave a small smile.....Why did I give a smile?

Period ended and Ashley came inside. Rose taunted Ashley, and it's making me freaking angry. I ignored everything and started to zip my bag, when Ashley said something like.

"Thanks to Alan or maybe Thank you Alan" I wasn't sure but I simply said welcome, I did not know what was going on. Ashley came and returned the lunch box. Then Chris and I left.

"Dude, You got and competition" Chris said

"What competition?" I asked

"That Edam guy, Don't you think he is your competition?" Chris said with a smirk

"Why is he, my competition?" I asked

"Ash.......Ley" Chris said and ran away

That bast*rd, He keeps saying this sh*t again and again.

I got to the parking lot where Chris was waiting. We sat on our bikes and left. Usually we go to some fun places, but today, Chris had some work to do, so he came with me to my house on his bike.

I got off my bike "See ya later" I said to Chris and started to walk towards the main gate

"HEY ALAN" Chris called

"ALAN VERSES EDAM, SOUNDS COOL RIGHT" He said and left laughingly
